*first comment dance*
LMAO Val Looks so psycho.
Shes all “ITS MY BLOOD, MOFO!”
*ahem*
but yes poor Murdo…
p.s. OMG ISA DOGGY!!
June 25th, 2007 at 8:54 pm
its like she is being sneaking like jumping across the door while pouncing. almost like a sick and twisted race
June 25th, 2007 at 8:56 pm
and i just noticed that she is going from one side of the room to the other crossing the door. but if i remember correctly the doorway behind them would be the only entrance into the room. did she like, jump through a window or something?
June 25th, 2007 at 9:03 pm
Kris, don’t know what you’re saying. Do you know that Murdo’s mom is in the gym (which is where Val is heading) and Murdo and Math are currently in a different room (where Jimmy and Jimmy’s mom died)? Maybe that clears it up. She’s going to the gym for Murdo’s mom’s blood. No need to jump through a window. Just walk down the stairs and walk through the hallway and into the gym. Murdo’s mom is somewhere around 150 feet from where Math and Murdo are right now.
June 25th, 2007 at 9:08 pm
wow, i havnt commented in ages it seems…
i think murdo should be rewarded by gettin turned into a vamp
cause hes a complete badass and he jsut brushed off the
death of his mom, sister and nephew, i think thats the least the vamps
could do
June 25th, 2007 at 10:20 pm
Whoa he looked PISSED, but hey it had to had to happen sooner or later. I wonder when TFZ is gonna try this again.
June 25th, 2007 at 11:49 pm
I like Murdo. I hope he doesn’t die.
June 26th, 2007 at 12:00 am
Just got caught up. This is a sick comic. I love it!
June 26th, 2007 at 12:25 am
4th panel
totally kickass
murdo looks like a pitbull
June 26th, 2007 at 12:55 am
Val is a lazy bitch. She didn’t do anything and now - she’s for the blood…
June 26th, 2007 at 3:03 am
Val is a scavenger. Im not too impressed with her right now. But hey, we all knew she was a bitch long before this happened.
Poor poor poor Murdo, jeebus, does it get any worse? I suppose it could but still!! SHEESH! I wouldnt mind Math drinking her blood, but that $#@? grrr. me so mad at she-devil. Of course they need to drink but at least Math had the decency to say something.
I dont know if being turned into a vamp is really a reward.. especially with the world the way it is now in the book. get eaten by zombies as a human or starve torturously for 65 years until you turn into one anyways?? at least as a human zombie eventually your body will rot to nothing.
June 26th, 2007 at 3:41 am
wow, Murdo in the third panel and second to last panel, seemed to just transformed there to this very radically different character. Very moving.
What is Math talking about, “this goes back centuries.”? is it instinct for all vampires to go for any spilled blood? That wouldn’t be good for their overall survival since it would make them stick out at an accident, drinking victims’ blood.
June 26th, 2007 at 3:58 am
great, great comic
Cool aproach to the zombie problem.
I’m hooked!
June 26th, 2007 at 4:01 am
Murdo is so full of awesome.
…er. And blood. Which I sort of suspect is where this is going, because I highly doubt Math wants to push April’s trust that far at this point.
June 26th, 2007 at 4:39 am
Again, poor Murdo. But I understand he will accept it. Though he won’t be making out with Val any sooner.
Great Job guys
June 26th, 2007 at 5:08 am
Math even looks sorry for Murdo as he holds him back from Val as she runs by. Im touched that he cares so much about humans. Or dose he? an earler page makes me think Math is in his own fight.
June 26th, 2007 at 6:51 am
Sara, keep in mind that Math is face to face with Murdo while he’s looking sorry for him, and the whole “act” happens when he’s around humans, trying to make them think he cares about them. So facial expressions that he has while humans can see him don’t necessarily mean anything. (But yes, Math does really care a decent amount, at least about this exact situation, since what happened to Murdo just now is pretty fucked up.)
June 26th, 2007 at 8:14 am
Awww, poor poor Murdo; you just went up on my ‘Favorite Male character’ list, right next to Grady ^^
June 26th, 2007 at 10:30 am
Murdo should be happy that they are taking his mother. Would he rather they sip off of the living children? The vampires are only being practical, and, in a matter, considerate.
June 26th, 2007 at 11:16 am
Math has the eyes of a puppy-dog when he wants them - Creepy, sort of. Do your vampires bleed tears of blood, Mr. Crosby?
June 26th, 2007 at 12:46 pm
Damn… that was… deep. Though, I think Val can go take a flying leap… Math was killing everything, so why is she getting blood? Again, and always, this comic is amazing.
June 26th, 2007 at 12:51 pm
Would someone please give the puppy a hug?
June 26th, 2007 at 12:52 pm
Will Murdo still feel the same way about Val after she takes his mom’s blood? Hummmmmm
June 26th, 2007 at 3:54 pm
freat comic, just love it, wish u luck mate
June 26th, 2007 at 4:10 pm
I think Murdo is going to hate Val’s guts. Judging by Murdo’s earlier reaction where he was willing to take credit for Math’s handiwork in his nephew’s and sister’s death, I think he’ll be a little more accepting of Math’s need because of the difference in behavior between the two vampires.
The question is: how will the others react to this? Principal Jerk will probably make a fuss.
June 26th, 2007 at 4:12 pm
Principal Jerk will probably be too busy painfully dying to make much of a fuss.
June 26th, 2007 at 4:52 pm
Oh, goth. *snickers* That panel with Val– That made me laugh my backside off.
It’s like watching a PMSing woman who just saw chocolate for the first time in ages.

June 27th, 2007 at 3:11 am
Ah ha! I have figured out this whole comic!! It is PUPPY! he turns into super zombie-destroying wolf! mwahahahaha!
Principal Jerk is dying? Painfully? He’s also known as MM right? Same guy we all hate? Did I miss something? or that hasn’t been shown yet but we’ll see it very soon? He was fine going up the stairs… ooooh Happy Days!!!!!! *dances*
pause… does that mean hes going to turn zombie soon? im guessing he got attacked going up the stairs, which is weird cuz April went up too and i would THINK shes fine…
never mind, don’t want answers, just musing
June 27th, 2007 at 5:16 am
humans .. ya gotta love them … cause they are your lunch …. at least when they are anywhere in earshot ..thats math .. as for val … totally pragmatic survivalist
June 27th, 2007 at 6:08 am
The vampires can’t afford to make any more, they’re short of blood as it is.
June 27th, 2007 at 7:47 am
Figure vampires gotta eat, and better to eat off someone who is already dead than to freak out the living by asking for donations. However, I agree with several people who have stated that Val just sat upstairs on her tuckus while Matt did all the work and then she thinks she should get first dibs on the blood. Bee-yatch. Some’un needs to give her a bitch-slap. Oh, well.
June 27th, 2007 at 8:35 am
I bet Principal Jerk is upstairs eating people, so when Math gets up there he’s just like “Not again! CAN’T YOU PEOPLE STAY ALIVE?!?”
Haha, Val’s pose made me laugh so hard! She’s all “OMG OMG OMG BLOOD” while this totally tragic scene is going on with Math and Murdo. “It’s like watching a PMSing woman who just saw chocolate for the first time in ages.” So so so well-said, Neca!
I actually think that this was one of the best strips so far. Math’s face is panel 2 is striking- his eyes are so beautiful! And his words are sympathetic, but realistic. The anger and emotion in Murdo is so clearly visible, and his simple but forceful refusal is perfect for his character. AAAAAH, PANEL 4 IS AMAZING!!! Except maybe for comically rampaging Val.
Math’s face is so… awesome! He just looks so stricken and yet the rest of his body language says he won’t let Murdo move. Aw, poor Math and Murdo.
The look on Murdo’s face in the second to last panel is so intense- the anger is perfectly drawn. The last line was mad cool. I cheered for Bobby’s writing when I read it.
Val’s a total moocher!
June 27th, 2007 at 9:19 am
The rushing Val was my fault. Bobby’s script had Val casually walking toward the blood in panel 4. I guess I should have went with that.
June 27th, 2007 at 9:46 am
no Owen, the rushing is good, its fun (and funny I guess) and perfectly illustrates her character
June 27th, 2007 at 9:55 am
All I have to say is… Murdo better not die. I mean, seriously. This poor guy has gone through hell and back. He should at least get to live, I think.
XD Watch, he’s going to die by the end of this series.
June 27th, 2007 at 10:01 am
And between casually walking and comically rampaging, I think comically rampaging just makes more sense, especially with what’s being said. They both seem awkward to me, but I can’t find anything that strikes a better chord. Oh well.
But yeah, if I needed blood and there was a prime source, I would be rampaging, not dilly-dallying.
June 27th, 2007 at 6:13 pm
To maker:
I had a similar idea for a movie/comic series like this. I just never had the time. I wish you luck with all of this.
June 27th, 2007 at 9:22 pm
I just wanna add for the guy who didn’t notice it before, but MM was attacked and bitten before he ever went upstairs. He tried telling Math, but in the confusion Math merely shoo’d him upstairs with everyone else, if you’ll remember. He was holding at his arm.
As for Val…
It’s better that way, Owen. Trust me. Walking Val would have been much less… Noticable… >.>;
June 27th, 2007 at 10:10 pm
First off, great comic and all, but reading through there’s something that bugs me personaly.
Stories that have a “Here’s what really happened!” Bit to them, always seem kinda… cheesy to me.
But this is a personal bug,and nothing agaisnt what yuh got here. It’s nice.
Hell, it’s great.
Just that little bit there does sem a bit campy, y’know?
And yeah, i ealize someone probably already said so… missed reading most of the comments.
Wonder what happened to Eva…
June 27th, 2007 at 10:21 pm
Don’t know what you mean by the “Here’s what really happened!” bit. Explain that? Also, no Eva in the story. Don’t know if you’re talking about Val or Devian.
June 28th, 2007 at 2:20 am
Hmmm… I’d have placed no Val at all in the 4th panel. It kind of takes away from the moment?
Still, this is one of the best pages of this comic in my opinion. Owen got this style neater with each strip, and the story is fascinating, as always.
June 28th, 2007 at 4:48 am
Just a quick question…
Mustache Man never held his arm or looked bitten. His one hand was up by his face and the other was off screen (behind a wall) and was speaking quite er…normally? “Um, I…” Not sure if this was explained in an earier set of comments. I tried looking but considering the majrity of the comments have around 50 or so and I’m quite lazy…
Was just curious HOW and WHEN he got bitten is all if he really did.
June 28th, 2007 at 4:54 am
Gotta make this clear again: Whenever I say something is a SPOILER, that means IT WILL BE EXPLAINED LATER IN THE STRIP. It’s not just some “extra info” that you can’t get from the strip. It’s stuff that will be in the strip itself. So anyway, yeah, we’ll find out how he got bit and exactly where and all that in the comics, and soon (next couple pages). Minor spoiler: He didn’t get “bit” at all. He punched a zombie in the mouth (he’s a moron) and her (yes, he was only brave enough to punch a zombie girl) teeth scraped his knuckles.
June 28th, 2007 at 6:18 am
hahaha, MM i soooooo lame! horrible death called by self inflicted scraping! ROFL!
June 28th, 2007 at 6:19 am
hahaha, MM i soooooo lame! horrible death caused by self-inflicted scraping! ROFL!
June 28th, 2007 at 7:16 am
Lawl, even better! I’d actually sort’ve wondered why he got bitten at all on their peaceful ‘Terrorize!’ mission. >_>; But yes, punching them does make sense…
June 28th, 2007 at 10:51 am
Mewt: I believe I’ve said this before at least once, but anyway, it was not a “peaceful terrorize mission” — their mission was to kidnap a specific person.
June 28th, 2007 at 11:28 am
{”Owen Says:

Noooo Val should walk back casually wiping a bit of blood off her lips, all smiles to Math, “Your turn”.
June 28th, 2007 at 11:57 am
If you end this comic with:
April, Murdo, Grady, or any other character waking up and it was all a dream…
I might cry a little.
June 28th, 2007 at 12:15 pm
Kate: No worries there.
June 28th, 2007 at 3:41 pm
Yes, there will never be a corny ending dream sequence in this! That is the worst kind of scapegoat to make the public ‘happy’.
I hate how so many people cater directly to the mainstream audience. You can’t do this because it might tick off the Catholics. You can’t do this because it might demoralize the youth. You can’t do this because it might upset black people. People need to understand that books, movies, etc. shouldn’t always be ‘happy’ since life isn’t always ‘happy’. Hiding from the problems of the real world will not solve them.
You can tell I feel strongly about this issue.
Oh well.
Anyway, keep up the good work with both this and Marry Me.
June 28th, 2007 at 3:50 pm
Thanks, Tori.
June 28th, 2007 at 6:23 pm
Dude, wouldn’t it be kick-ass if the dog got zombie-fied? XD
Do it Bobby, do it!
Oh, and I’ve noticed the lack of reply to my multiple email attempts. Sooooooo. I think… I will just make a page on Xanga or something to post pictures and stuff on. Like, a portfolio on the web. =D ‘cept these wont be angle shots.
Hmm… Which place would be best to do this… Angelfire, maybe?
-Neca
June 28th, 2007 at 7:27 pm
Necavi: Still haven’t received a single e-mail from you and I’ve checked my spam folder and everything. You’re doing something wrong in the sending, don’t know what. Also, no zombie dogs, sorry.
June 28th, 2007 at 9:30 pm
Tori, are zombies really a “problem of the real world?”
June 29th, 2007 at 5:00 pm
