Sorry for double post, got excited there…
Long fan of Last Blood, really really really really cool comic..
August 28th, 2007 at 10:46 pm
Hmmm. I have never thought of this before but now I want to do it too.
August 28th, 2007 at 10:59 pm
For some reason i find this incredibly disgusting but incredibly funny at the same time.
August 28th, 2007 at 10:59 pm
damn dude that guy has some balls =) he must really accept the fact that the worlds gone to shit. Damn THAT LOOKS LIKE FUN =)
August 28th, 2007 at 11:40 pm
This is EXCELLENT!
August 28th, 2007 at 11:49 pm
Lmfao, I love it.
However, I don’t think it would turn out so amusing in the movie.. more disturbing.
August 28th, 2007 at 11:59 pm
If the lighting is bright enough in the movie it wouldn’t look so disturbing…
I’m kinda surprised that the heads don’t keep trying to bite or anything.
Some people just like to play hoops to unwind.
August 29th, 2007 at 12:32 am
How come no one told me Last Blood rules?
I’ve seen the link to this site on Sore Thumbs but never lifted my finger to click it!
There should be a sign “This comic roxz you’re soxz!”
I mean, come on! This is bloody brilliant!
I’m gonna go buy everything I can of Last Blood at the comicstore today!
they best be selling me some comics, or I’ll go all Mac chopping on them!
P.S thats my way of thanking you guys for giving my days at work a purpose!
August 29th, 2007 at 12:51 am
we got to buy this book we need to keep it going i just found it at issue 2 i don’t want it to die at issue 4 =[
August 29th, 2007 at 1:26 am
Yay… 11th comment =D
No special braggin’ today - just saying ‘hi’ to Owen and Bobby!
August 29th, 2007 at 1:34 am
Oh yes. If I was in that situation, I would do the exact same thing. Picking up severed heads and shootin’ hoops with them.
August 29th, 2007 at 2:03 am
Grady for three~
and he scores! Grady once again turned the game around~ now the Survivors are back in the game and attacking!
Great comic and great art! Keep it up!
August 29th, 2007 at 2:07 am
That’s fuckin’ brutal
August 29th, 2007 at 3:45 am
OMG are you KIDDING me?! Hahaha! That’s disturbingly funny! Hey they could make a new record category on the side there. The most zombie head free throws! Hey that first one had piercings… Cool.
August 29th, 2007 at 3:56 am
Well, I rekon we all have our own ways of coping with tragedy.
I mean, come on…who here doesn’t enjoy a good game of “Noggin Chucking”?
Great comic, amigo. Can’t wait for the feature length to hit a screen near me.
August 29th, 2007 at 4:43 am
That first head looks kind of like Joel Madden.
August 29th, 2007 at 4:53 am
the deadheads are bringing a moment of fun to the world once again…what sound track is going to accompany this moment one wonders….or is it a statement OF deadheads in general… or could it be i am thinking too much and it is just a way of coping that people seem to generate when things get desperate….could be a setup for one final zombie from the end of the tunnel attacking a distracted man coping with all that happened…either way… i do hope there is a trashcan under that net LOL
August 29th, 2007 at 4:59 am
next thing you know, he’ll be batting heads, bowling with heads, kicking heads…
August 29th, 2007 at 5:13 am
eeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwww.
and yet, soooo funny!
August 29th, 2007 at 5:17 am
Greatest….zombie joke…..ever!
August 29th, 2007 at 5:53 am
I’m just waiting for one to bite him.
August 29th, 2007 at 6:08 am
Color me amused with a wide streak of nausea. Sometimes madness really is the only sane answer.
Better hope TFZ doesn’t find out. He might be jealous about his record getting broken.
August 29th, 2007 at 6:38 am
F’n Hillarious!
But I’ll bet one of them is gonna bite him. ;P
August 29th, 2007 at 8:23 am
Does that mean that Grady has always secretly wanted to decapitate someone and use their head for a basketball or that he has always wanted a worldwide zombie outbreak so that he could decapitate one and use its head for a basketball? Either way, that’s frickin’ hilarious…I wanna do it too!
August 29th, 2007 at 8:29 am
DarkKnight: Neither. It simply means that he’s always wanted to use a severed head as a basketball (he didn’t need to cut it off himself, though).
August 29th, 2007 at 8:56 am
Last panel,
Totally gross,
Totally awesome!
August 29th, 2007 at 1:48 pm
Hells. YES.
[Fourth panel, expression on flying head: Priceless.]
August 29th, 2007 at 2:49 pm
Are the heads still . . .umm . . . not alive, that’s not the right term . . . well, whatever it is that zombies are? Because the first head changes expression as it is first lifted, flying through the air, then in the net. And that is what makes it so incredibly, darkly funny. This is the best so far - they just keep getting better. Keep bringing them on, guys!
August 29th, 2007 at 3:55 pm
Hehe that first zombie head is like “AHHHHHH!!!!!!” as it flies through the air then “Weeeeeeee!!!” as it goes through the basket. *giggles madly* Oh you SO had fun with this page didn’t you?
August 29th, 2007 at 4:12 pm
Wouldn’t the “expression” just be the effects of a jaw and lips with no musculature to keep them from flopping around?
I’m curious though, can you still catch zombie by handling their “corpses”? Maybe not from just holding it, but what if you had a cut, or if you actually grazed yourself on a jagged bone or something…
August 29th, 2007 at 4:16 pm
You can only become a zombie from getting bitten by a “live” one. These are all dead. If the head is removed, they’re dead, or the brain is destroyed. Grady’s in zero danger here.
August 29th, 2007 at 4:24 pm
best page ever!!!!!
Bobby PLEASE have this in the movie
i wanna see it live action
August 29th, 2007 at 5:30 pm
Are their eyes still glowing post-mortem, or is that just the way they’re drawn?
August 29th, 2007 at 5:47 pm
Marta: Just a choice by Owen.
August 29th, 2007 at 6:48 pm
It perturbs me that the head looks like it’s freaking out as it’s being thrown through the air… is that just me? lol
August 29th, 2007 at 7:25 pm
Can you believe that? The guys got GUTS.and he does it a second time.lol.
August 29th, 2007 at 9:56 pm
i kind of wonder what noise they make when they land… i imagine it’d be like hitting a half frozen chicken with a baseball bat.
August 29th, 2007 at 9:57 pm
They should get a zombie basketball game going to lift their spirits! that would lift some of the tension =)
August 30th, 2007 at 12:13 am
Hmm.. I think it would have been cooler if he just kep shut in all the panels but the last one.. The talking to himself about his thoughts is to much ‘the young and the restless’
August 30th, 2007 at 3:52 am
HAHAHAHAHA! the next time the zombies attack everyone’s gonna be like “OOO there’s a nice round one for the next game!” hahaha. Awesome work on the comic guys.
Long time reader, First time poster. I swear to you I am telling EVERY single one of my friends about this comic. including the ones that work at my local comic book store ^_^
August 30th, 2007 at 7:56 am
Hey ever seen the movie Braindead? It’s full of this kind of nauseating humor. I bet you guys got inspired by that movie a little, there’s actually a scene where a (still living btw) zombie head gets kicked around on a bloody slippery floor. Sick movie. Gotta love Peter Jackson for making it though!
Greetings from Holland, keep it up
August 30th, 2007 at 8:04 am
Umm… Why are the eyes still glowing…?
The heads are coming! The heads are coming!
I remember when I was younger, I read a scary story book (forget the name), anyways, There was a story about a ogress that had a husband that was a giant snake, well, anyways, thus hunter comes apon the hut they live in, kills the snake and chops of the ogresses head, the head rolls to try to eat the hunters chilren, anyways, long story short, the head rolls, and rolls, and eventually the children trick the head into a giant hole like thingy, and everything is happy again.
I really think the head should have at least have gotten a little snack. I mean, they don’t need their arms, do they?
August 30th, 2007 at 8:45 am
I just started to read this comic today and I finished reading it. So I just wanted to say that this comic is awesome and love horror movies and comics. I started to watch zombie movies when I was just 4 years old. And still big fan of them today.
Keep the comic up because it does get better evry time.
Sorry about my English.
August 30th, 2007 at 9:28 am
My sports kinda guy! and I really like the fact he’s talking to himself and knows it’s madness!
great work!
and hogi: hier alles goed, ook met manneke pis!
kent ge janneke pis? die staat er voor de feministen *laughs*
August 30th, 2007 at 11:40 am
“Hey ever seen the movie Braindead?”
About six years ago I saw the first five minutes or so of it before turning it off — wasn’t a fan. I hate almost all zombie movies. Only one I like is “Shaun of the Dead.” I thought of the scene from today’s page even before we started making the comic. It was one of the first things in my notes from almost a year ago. Nice to finally have it in the comic.
August 30th, 2007 at 12:57 pm
Ooo! Ooo! Is one of those severed heads going to bite him? I’ve been reading this a while, but this is the first time I’ve commented on a page.
August 30th, 2007 at 1:07 pm
Answered that earlier.
August 30th, 2007 at 5:09 pm
WOOOooooww! Oo….
This is so disturbing and funny!! I mean…. It’s just GREAT!
At first I was like: “eeeewwww!” But when I saw the last panel I start laughin and I just couldn’t stop for several minutes. I almost fall of my chair. It’s SICK! This is SO sick that is HILARIOUS!
I can’t wait to see this on a movie. I love this comic.
August 31st, 2007 at 5:29 am
Bobby, why do you keep calling it ‘new comics every mo-we-fr when it obviously isn’t? Cool comic and all but still, I don’t like checking 6 times a week because the comic still isn’t there..
August 31st, 2007 at 9:30 am
Hugo, he’s answered that so many times it’s no longer funny.
August 31st, 2007 at 10:16 am
Bobby -
Charlie Brown and Lucy Van Pelt Football Kick. Someone could hold one for Grady and as he runs to kick the *ahem* “football” he could slip in a pile of guts and go flying! That would be classic!
That said. I love Grady!
August 31st, 2007 at 11:32 am
I would absolutely love to see one of the heads get caught in the net. Just hanging there, it’s ear trapped in a loop of polyester netting. That would make my day.
August 31st, 2007 at 11:33 am
Oh, and Vo: Ewww!
August 31st, 2007 at 1:15 pm
“Cool comic and all but still, I don’t like checking 6 times a week because the comic still isn’t there..”
Um, check it once a month, then!
August 31st, 2007 at 1:59 pm
Am I a horrible person for thinking “boom headshot” right after i saw the head swish through the basket?
August 31st, 2007 at 3:46 pm
no brown you arent
August 31st, 2007 at 3:55 pm
I just check evry 1 hour to see are there any new pages.
September 1st, 2007 at 2:47 am
First time I post here, I’m a fan from Belgium, man I love your comic, very nicely drawn, and I love the color scheme, the story is good and I like the humor, especially this comic gave me a big smile on my face
greets and keep up the damn good work
September 1st, 2007 at 7:52 pm
Third panel - Grady looks like a child at Christmas: “Thank you, Santa, for this chance to practice my zombie head free-throw.”
…
…I don’t think that came out as funny as I had intended…. it kinda reminds me of my computer’s “auto summarize” option for some reason…
September 2nd, 2007 at 3:14 am
hey people.. just wanted to congratulate you for the great work.. started reading today went all trough the comic.. looking forward to whatever comes next! Thanks for everything!
Cheers.
September 2nd, 2007 at 3:43 am
“Nothing but neck”
September 2nd, 2007 at 10:25 am
Brillaint comic!
September 2nd, 2007 at 7:41 pm
The flesh falling off in the middle of the throw is my favorite detail. I also appreciate the correct usage of ” ’til ” instead of “till.” Major pet peeve of mine. Go Bobby!
September 2nd, 2007 at 8:53 pm
Woot! I love your comic! This is great! I wish I could have done the same thing to a couple of snot nosed kids at my school!
September 3rd, 2007 at 2:46 am
I’m hoping another zombie shows up and he has to use zombie body parts for self defense.
Or maybe one of the vamps will show up, block a shot and we can have a game of zombie head 1on1.
September 3rd, 2007 at 5:12 am
I’m poor, but i really really like the comic. How can i help support you and your art?
September 3rd, 2007 at 5:15 am
Tory: If you’re in America, you’ll be able to help soon by downloading “Last Blood” books for free on wowio.com. More info coming next week.
September 3rd, 2007 at 1:30 pm
Are the eyes really glowing?Or are the eyes just rolled back in that white part?
September 3rd, 2007 at 2:59 pm

Minor spoiler: Mac will definitely get out of the tree.
September 4th, 2007 at 7:03 am
I gotta say, i had not slept all day at all when i first found this, i found the link to this comic on another site i was checking just before i was finally going to pass out. But i went ahead and clicked and after i read the whole thing, i had two thoughts come into my mind:
1) Damn, this would be an amazing movie!
2) Damn…i wonder if they actually have this comic anywhere for sale?
And then when i looked back at the actual comic blog you post…two more thoughts:
1) They are making a movie?! …how do i get in this cast then???
2) I missed getting this comic…for free???
Really loving the work of this comic, really am glad to hear it will go on for a long time and even more glad to hear about an actual movie being in the works…still wish i knew how to get in it though, haha.
Keep up the great job.
September 4th, 2007 at 11:18 am

September 4th, 2007 at 1:54 pm

September 4th, 2007 at 9:30 pm
Best zombie comic ever. Best vampire comic ever. Fairly good competitor for best comic all ’round.

September 5th, 2007 at 2:18 am

September 5th, 2007 at 1:37 pm
Greetings from Mexico
we r doin pretty good surviving down here lol
one thing u did not know is that mexican zombies just get too drunk/lazy to keep killin the rest of us so thats why we survived lol jk
really nice comic
just discovered it a few hours ago and i read it all
must be kind of annoying to be questioned about everything but i guess it doesnt matter when u like ur stuff
cant wait for next number
lol final spoiler, if TFZ comes down here, he will be probably betrayed by his fellow zombies and killed…then the rest of the zombies will kill each other for power…end of story lol
September 5th, 2007 at 2:57 pm
We can get casted as zombies? Pretty please?
September 5th, 2007 at 3:01 pm
I’ve been keeping it kind of hush hush, but there’s currently an extremely good chance that I’m going to sell the film rights. If I do end up making it myself, though, any readers of this comic can be zombies if they want to!
September 5th, 2007 at 5:23 pm
What studio are you shooting for?
September 5th, 2007 at 5:27 pm
Major production company at the moment.
September 5th, 2007 at 10:36 pm
I say thank ya every time I find a new webcomic that I can’t stop reading. Here is my kudos.
September 5th, 2007 at 10:37 pm
Wow, this is good stuff. Keep it coming and don’t be late!
September 6th, 2007 at 3:50 am
Found the link for this comic this morning…couldn’t stop reading it…absolutely awesome…thanx for writting.
September 6th, 2007 at 4:23 am
I probably wouldn’t make a very scary zombie… But it would be interesting to try acting as one.
September 6th, 2007 at 7:47 am
A film, you say? On one hand - congrats! I think your work deserves it. On the other - dammit! I planned using the plot and the situation in a couple of RPG sessions since my players don’t know the comic. If it comes out as a film … well, I’d better act quickly

Heh, a funny idea just occurred to me - many American films are being shot in Prague (Czechia) these days. If it is the case with your story I’ll gladly volunteer as a zombie, too
September 6th, 2007 at 8:27 am
new here - great story concept and illustrative style!
September 6th, 2007 at 10:34 am
More! Give me more! This comic is great. Keep up the good work!
September 6th, 2007 at 10:36 am
congrats on the prospect Bobby!! Sign me up as a Zombie!
September 6th, 2007 at 4:28 pm
*Sings* It was a zombie Jamboree…
LOL sorry I have to keep posting weird crap. XD Wow I go to Dragoncon and the layout gets completely changed! Looks good.
September 6th, 2007 at 4:28 pm
*Sings* It was a zombie Jamboree…
LOL sorry I have to keep posting weird crap. XD Wow I go to Dragoncon and the layout gets completely changed! Looks good.
Ugh now I have Zombie Jamboree stuck in my head… LOL
September 6th, 2007 at 6:30 pm
I never heard Zombie Jamboree until I worked a theatre festival. It was a local thing where high school students write one-act plays and one of the plays was a comedic tribute to Zombie movies referancing all the little factoids of various films, each character based off well known Zombie killers (Bruce Cambell, Chris Redfield, Shaun Of The Dead, Romero, etc) and after the show the music was Zombie jamboree. I thought it was quite odd.
September 6th, 2007 at 8:31 pm
Awesome! I stumbled here yesterday with no expectations and whoa. This comic exceeded all expectations I could have had
Keep it going.
September 7th, 2007 at 1:34 am
i quite love this comic
September 7th, 2007 at 2:24 am
3 Points!
September 7th, 2007 at 5:30 am
Nice! Good job Bobby
I’d love to be a Zombie in the movie.
Hopefully, I could ghet killed by a certain sexy vampire lady
September 7th, 2007 at 5:57 am
Very nice comic. Read the whole thing straight.
Unfortunately for us living outside the US, we can’t join WOWIO and ge tthe downlaods…..
September 7th, 2007 at 6:23 am
Great concept and wonderful comic! Just came across this earlier this week and have loved working my way though it! Great job.
September 7th, 2007 at 7:24 am
anyone hear about how people all over the world are doing Zombie flash crowds? Sounds pretty funny, although if I had been in that Mac store when it happened someone would have been decapitated by a flying laptop as I ran screaming out.. lol
September 7th, 2007 at 7:26 am
heres one: http://www.web-strategist.com/blog/2007/05/26/witnessing-an-internet-flash-mob-zombie-attack-in-sf-pics-and-video/
September 7th, 2007 at 9:03 am
Wow, I have to say I’m really impressed with this comic. The writing and art is excellent. Very nice.
September 7th, 2007 at 11:50 am
Dude. Seriously. This has to be the best concept for anything ever of all time throughout the universe. Zombies…and vampires…and WWII…and a vampire killed Hitler.
It’s like. Everything! Everything I’ve ever wanted or needed in a movie!
September 7th, 2007 at 1:08 pm
This… rocks. As simple as that. I suppose that something good DOES come out of clicking a random link from time to time! A definite new fav of mine!
September 7th, 2007 at 5:41 pm
wootfish
September 7th, 2007 at 5:41 pm
sorry, just testing
this comic kicks ass
September 8th, 2007 at 1:25 am
I am so bummed… I found this yesterday and just got to this page, and now I’m going to be waiting between pages? Woe! Woe!
This is a great story!
September 8th, 2007 at 3:51 am
Still loving the comic, but is it going to update in this lifetime?
September 8th, 2007 at 3:56 am
Starting next week we’ll most likely be doing 4-5 pages per week until the first graphic novel is complete (about 110 pages total). So tons of pages coming soon, with the next on either Monday or Tuesday probably.
September 8th, 2007 at 9:28 am
I so want to be a zombie.
September 8th, 2007 at 12:14 pm
I rarely read comics cause they mainly follow a general line of thought which is thought to be popular amongst readers.
\
This comic however has it’s own charisma, it’s well put and nicely worked out. The artwork is cool and capturing.
I started out from page 3 till this page (which was the last published here, so I had to stop) till the end without stopping. I recommended it to my friends. As I saw here in the responses this comic is published in shops too, so I’m most definately gonna buy me a copy to support this
September 8th, 2007 at 8:14 pm
Just started reading Friday. Really enjoy it. It’s got humor and drama in the right amounts. Love it.
Zombieees!
September 9th, 2007 at 3:31 pm
zombies indeed Frank.
September 12th, 2007 at 8:39 pm
I command you to continue this project! And faster! It is awesome and about zombies(I likes to state the obvious) which makes it doubly awesome. You shall continue to update or else may the fleas of a thousand camels infest your armpits.
November 20th, 2007 at 12:30 pm
Yes! More zombie-head games!
If you knew how much I was looking foreward to this…well, you’d be afraid.
December 4th, 2007 at 9:47 pm
“Am I a horrible person for thinking “boom headshot†right after i saw the head swish through the basket?”
Brown you are god damn awesome but almost got me into trouble with that comment as I almost woke up the gf when I laughed!
December 12th, 2007 at 8:50 am
THIS IS THE BEST PAGE SO FAR!
March 11th, 2008 at 2:32 am
You can actually do this with the head of a dead guy in the action-RPG “Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines”. You even get completely out-of-the-blue applause if you make the shot. Or if you just stand under the hoop, lift the head high and leap up. which is a lot easier.
April 19th, 2008 at 3:22 pm
Zombie basketball. it’s what all the cool kids are doing…
April 25th, 2008 at 6:24 pm
I’m adding this to my list of things to do before I die.
August 26th, 2008 at 1:21 am
I have always wanted to do that too.
