That looks like almost a billion bodies there. Cool.
Too bad the vampires don’t seem to keep any rocket launchers on them, that would get rid of the knight zombies.
I guess the little kid will be the first to get chained, too bad.
working on the chain gang … in plate mail armor no less..serious weakness there in the eye holes …but when when you have a finite but huge supply of zombies to use ehh no biggie ..top of the mound for the vampires cause those suits look top heavy .. and an attack from the sides and rear for the rest of the zombies… at least that would be my plan of attack..
Man, I feel sorry for Murdo … He just got turned into a vampire (and he might’ve been able to survive as a human ala Mac), and now he’s gonna get chained up and doesn’t know why.
Also, how come Murdo didn’t play a bigger part in the whol TFZ’s decendant plan? Isn’t he April’s cousin or something?
And where did Payne put that briefcase that he had handcuffed to his arm?
Are we gonna find out the reason for the tunnel running from the Davis farm to the school? Or was Murdo’s “can’t tell, swore an oath” bit just a nifty way of saying: we just needed the zombies in the school?
Heavy Armor = Win, in any setting. Pre-emptive strike: the armored chain guys wouldn’t have any problem getting to the top of the hill: TFZ can just have other zombies fall down near the hill to make a nice ramp if the hill is a bit too steep. It’ll be a leisurely walk for them to chain the vamps.
The armored zombies gave me the creeps. As did the little kid. I’d probably scream at this scene, if I were to see the movie in the theatre xD. Which I will, absolutely.
And wow, Addison F. Payne is killing zombies with his BARE HANDS. o_o He’s my brand new hero, hahaha.
Goodness, now that’s a huge pile of dead bodies. Wonder how they’ll hide it, lol. The woman “calming” the kids looks histerical, for which I don’t blame her. Great work, Owen, Bobby.
That is one FUCKING BIG pile. I bet humans look mighty tasty after fighting for hours in that.
“Also, how come Murdo didn’t play a bigger part in the whol TFZ’s decendant plan? Isn’t he April’s cousin or something?”
I’ll just go ahead and explain, since Bobby did put up a warning above the comments, so it’s your fault if you didn’t want to know the real deal but read the comments anyway. Murdo is TFZ’s grandson, actually. There are two schaemiacs. The other one is Sullivan Davis (keep in mind this is not the guy we have seen in the comic so far, that was TFZ as the majority of people call him). Sullivan Davis is April’s grandfather and he is controlling the 3000 zombies that were mentioned by Math a few pages ago. TFZ became a schaemiac to get back at the vampires, as he and Sullivan were both turned by Val during WW2 (against their will). Sullivan found out what TFZ was planning to do and went through the same hunger pains to stop TFZ in his tracks, but he was late and didn’t manage to zombifiy so many people. And TFZ doesn’t care if Murdo is his grandchild, he hates ALL the vampires.
“Are we gonna find out the reason for the tunnel running from the Davis farm to the school? Or was Murdo’s “can’t tell, swore an oath†bit just a nifty way of saying: we just needed the zombies in the school?”
Read the comments around about that page for more info about the whole thing, there was a secret society/exclusive club that knew about vampires and I can’t remember the details.
That all took a while to type out, hopefully giving Bobby more time to write the next page!
Oh, I left out one more thing. Murdo is TFZ’s grandson slash great grandson, it hasn’t come up in the story yet and when I asked Bobby he replied:
“…I might change him to his grandson actually, just so it doesn’t sound stupid saying “great grandson,” especially since April is TFZ’s granddaughter, so it would confuse some people about age and shit.”
Ok I’ve been reading this comic since the start without commenting but now I feel like I have to chime in.
You lost me with the 100+ foot tall pile of zombie bodies. First, I didn’t realize the school was that tall but by the looks of the scale of that drawing it has to be at least 10 stories, which doesn’t fit really with earlier drawings of it. Lets not even touch on trying to explain how a 100 foot tall school building ended up out in the middle of nowhere away from any populated area. But come on that pile of bodies is just a bit to much to swallow. If this does end up a movie you’d better hope its an animated film cause you’re never gonna pull that scene off without looking silly. Sorry I just couldn’t keep quiet this page pulled me out of the story just to much not to comment on its sheer craziness.
My guess is that a child would not have been expected as a vampire. Thus the chains are made for the adult sized wrists. A child vampire would slip out of them like it was nothing.
Couple to it the fact that well…children are an almost limitless source of energy and you have a mass-zombie-murdering little psychopathic tornado of glee thing going there.
Heavy armor or light armor wouldnt matter would it.. since they can’t feel anything. Climbing a hill made of nice, easy to grip, handles and soft stomics to jam in your metal boots, how wouldnt that be easy when you cant tire or feel.
Not all vampires have super strength.. even recall something about, not even all got any special skills. Normal metal would hold even A’F'P.
was about to ask something about AFP’s glasses.. but forgot what it was.. lol..
@narfen…you are right but any kind of armor would stop a sword much better than mere flesh…so the “chaingang” doesn’t get killed of so fast, thus easier to put the tired vamps in chains[sounds logical to me anyway:p]
if afp knew what will happen he will have a surprise ready, maybe that suitcase
so if im right we’ll have a great(they’re all great, but now greater) comic tomorrow
Dro – in the case that the vampires are chained, Murdo wouldn’t have survived as a human, either. AFP’s plan is to have Devian fly the 2 smallest children away, remember? That means rest of the humans are dead.
Fjiekie – I believe Mr. Crosby has stated multiple times the suitcase doesn’t contain anything useful for fighting Z’s. Any surprises, such as a too-small-for-chains-fuck’emup-zombie-kid, would have been a separate plan from the suitcase plan.
Assuming the school is 4 stories tall (from the pic), the pile looks about 50 ft (15.25m) high.
The average mass of a human adult body is 69.25 kg. The density of a human body is almost the same as water (little more), or 1000 kg / cubic meter.
If the pile is half a perfect sphere (and it’s clearly wider at the base, this is just for easy mass), the volume of the pile is 2,365 cubic meters, and the mass of the pile is 2,365,000 kg (over a million pounds), which equals 34,151 full-weight human adults dead on the pile.
Given that the pile is much wider at the base and the zombies are generally emaciated, the number could easily be double (about 70,000). And if the pile was 80 ft high instead of 50, it could be roughly 300,000 with the same assumptions. So Bobby’s about right there.
Now . . . just for fun . . . a perfect half-sphere of 10 million adult-weight humans would be a pile 331 feet high. Given all the same assumptions, that could be a flattened pile of 20 million zombies.
6 billion flattened-pile emaciated zombies? ~670 meters, or ~2200 feet . . . almost a half mile.
I’ve got a question (and I’m sure it hasn’t been asked before as it pertains to information on this page and no one else has asked it):
Besides the “cool” factor of seeing zombies in full medieval plate, is there any reason they are wearing that instead of say, military battle armor? You’ve said they would have access to it, and it would alieviate the problem detailed in the last panel, wherein there is a glaring vulnerability in the eye area (it also looks like a great place to jam a sword, either through the eyes there or vertically through the slit that goes down past the mouth).
For that matter, do zombies (particularly those under TFZ’s direct control) require exposed eyes to see? They could just have their entire head and shoulders encased in sold metal if this was not the case, making it near impossible to remove their head or destroy their brain.
where did all that medieval armor come from, did the first zombie raid a few raid a few European museums? perhaps took out some LARPers or conveniently ran into a national renaissance fair day?
Modern military battle armor is designed to stop a bullet. Occasionally it’s designed to stop a knife, too, but that’s not generally a concern on a battlefield. A sword would more or less go through anything modern.
The best thing they could do would be riot gear. That stuff is designed to stop knives, and protects every part of the body. The helmets also include face protection so it’s harder to (de)brain them. A walking wall of zombies carrying riot shields would be pretty damn effective IMO. And not because they did it in Hellsing, either. They could just press in around each vampire and restrict their movement. You can’t really stick a sword through a riot shield, so it’s only a matter of time before you pen them in and chain them up. A much shorter time, I might add.
Admit it! Though I must say… One huge group of zombies dressed as riot police would have killed me for sure
Wonderful word from wonderful minds.
oh, and before I forget. WOW. Dead meat has been given a new definition in my book. I hope the don’t have to stay much longer, cause that is going to smell quite bad quite soon me thinks *wink*
And I totally love devian and the kid! great touch, bobby.
now, let’s all do what the teacher says and go watch the MOVIE
I love ya all!
Modern armoring methods don’t seem to be designed to prevent decapitation, dismemberment, or total body pulverization, which is what these vampires seem to be doing. You can’t just sink your fingers into metal armor like you could zombie flesh or (in the case of stronger vamps) kevlar–no cloth to grab and hold, either, preventing you from getting as good a grip.
And since visors are just going to be smashed, and the helmets that include them aren’t as durable as solid metal, why bother attaching eye protection, I figure.
Y’know, I think the kid vampire has been taking lessons in “feral” from Rage – that expression on his face is as close to a “Rage” expression as a cute little kid can muster, don’t y’all think?
Brrr, chilly – and sleepy. Need more sleep in warm bed . . . *yawn*
Ok I’m thinking this won’t ever get posted since my last rant never saw the light of day but I’ve got to say it again.
I pulled this panel into GIMP and did some simple pixel calculations. It looks like most of the people are between 4 and 6 pixels tall. The pile itself appears to be about 167-170 pixels high at it’s tallest point.
If we assume the average zombie is between 5’8” and 6’2” then this would make the pile somewhere between 175-245 feet tall. The scale of the drawing is just WAAAAY off. The zombies look like little specs compare to the size of the pile.
If Chris is right and the pile is suppose to be only 50 feet tall that would mean it’s only as tall as about 10 zombies standing on each others heads. I think we can tell by the size of the little specs of zombies in the left of the panel that this is nowhere near true.
Again I have to say you complete blew it on this panel, the perspective is way off.
The chain gangs are fscking scary. I do think the kid vamp may have been accounted for, since it is likely that there are many zombies with varying sizes of cuff, since even the wrist size from one person to the next is different enough that modern hand-cuffs are made adjustable to account for the different sizes of suspects.
My only gripe would be the size of the zombies in the long shot in comparison with the school. At that particular perspective, taking into account the supposable size of the school, they’d at least have defined shapes and be roughly the size of Addison’s teeth in the third-to-last panel. Or you could show that the image is skewed in some way to include the sheer size of the zombie masses. I understand that the sheer amount of work it’d take work the first option be at least half an hour for the one panel, and do a serious number on Owen’s eyes, unless he used a magnifying glass to help him out. As for the second option, I have no idea how that could be gone about doing. -shrug-
I hope my input was helpful!
This is Claen’tor, signing off.
“Also, how come Murdo didn’t play a bigger part in the whol TFZ’s decendant plan? Isn’t he April’s cousin or something?”
No relation to April. He’s TFZ’s great grandson (or just grandson, haven’t decided). What is a “TFZ decendant plan”? No clue what you’re talking about.
“And where did Payne put that briefcase that he had handcuffed to his arm?”
In the school somewhere.
“Are we gonna find out the reason for the tunnel running from the Davis farm to the school?”
I’ve said why many times in the comments, and the tunnel will be talked about in the comic again, yes.
“First, I didn’t realize the school was that tall but by the looks of the scale of that drawing it has to be at least 10 stories, which doesn’t fit really with earlier drawings of it.”
It’s not supposed to be that tall and my sketch shows the scale being smaller –
It’s supposed to be about 35-40 feet tall, which is the height of the actual school in South Dakota where it will be shot if I make it myself.
“But come on that pile of bodies is just a bit to much to swallow.”
As you can also see from my sketch, I had it being a bit less steep than Owen had it.
“Thus the chains are made for the adult sized wrists. A child vampire would slip out of them like it was nothing.”
No, opposite. Wrists don’t matter when they have more than enough chain to just wrap it around his entire body many times over, which they’re going to do to everyone anyway probably. Can’t allow any chance of them breaking free on their own.
“is there any reason they are wearing that instead of say, military battle armor?”
Yes, because TFZ chose it, liked the color.
“do zombies (particularly those under TFZ’s direct control) require exposed eyes to see?”
Seems obvious that they do, yes.
“where did all that medieval armor come from, did the first zombie raid a few raid a few European museums? perhaps took out some LARPers or conveniently ran into a national renaissance fair day?”
Take your pick — maybe all of the above!
“And I totally love devian and the kid! great touch, bobby.”
Owen actually thought of the kid jumping on a zombie’s shoulders and stabbing him through the eyes. He told me about it while I was writing the page and it worked out perfectly for the armored zombies (he didn’t know at the time that armored zombies would be in the comic). I originally had the kid about to kill himself after hearing about the chains and then Murdo was going to stop him, tell him to wait or whatever. I wasn’t too pleased with it, though, so I went with Owen’s idea. I did want to have at least one more mention of suicide, and maybe I’ll do it on Page 95, but I don’t know.
“Is that young black vampire from the 80’s or what?”
1880s maybe. When humans get turned into vampires, they stop aging, even if they were children like he was.
“Ok I’m thinking this won’t ever get posted since my last rant never saw the light of day but I’ve got to say it again.”
Hey, moron, I was ASLEEP. Of course someone like you would be stupid enough to think that the only conceivable reason your comment wasn’t posted is because someone chose not to post it. By the way, this guy posted his exact same comment from earlier twice, the second time two hours later.
“Again I have to say you complete blew it on this panel, the perspective is way off.”
Put my sketch through those same calculations and tell me what you come up with.
I love that the zombie eye goo continues to glow as Webster is gouging the eyes from their sockets. The armor zombies look a little like the Iron Giant. Just for fun you should get Vin Diesel to do the voice of one of them in the movie. And I love the mountain o’zombies. It makes me want to rake leaves and dive in, only on a much bigger scale…
it’s a shame the pile looks so odd and perfectly formed. it just kind of sticks out, especially as the art has been constantly improving lately. the rest of this page rocks, though.
i also really love the look of the chain gang, really spooky and atmospheric. for a second i thought they were robots, though. that really confused me, i thought:
I have yet to not be amazed by two things on this site:
1)The complaints from viewers who should be grateful for the sheer greatness of the site
2)The sheer greatness of the plot, dialogue, and art
Thanks to both Mr. Crosby’s
Putting your sketch through the pixel count, the pile would still be 85-120 feet high. Thats still roughly a 10 story building. The one in the actual comic would be closer to 20 stories.
I agree with ocean. The pile is too perfectly symmetrical. It looks unnatural. I still love the page.
“Putting your sketch through the pixel count, the pile would still be 85-120 feet high.”
I disagree. Only if you chose the smallest little lines possible maybe, and keep in mind that this isn’t a shot from the side directly — it’s also overhead a bit, making the people smaller from our angle, and most of them are crouching down a bit while fighting, I’m sure. Look at the zombie who is flying off on the right side. Anyway, whatever, it doesn’t matter.
“Thanks to both Mr. Crosby’s”
Don’t forget Owen.
Also, Mac’s perfectly fine and won’t die for at least another 25 years.
Well i was thinking to avoid capture couldent have 1 or 2 of them go back in take a blood break then come out ready to fight (just enough to keep going) then when they get back some others go inside and also take a break. Or is there just to many zombies coming at them the whole time.
But this is a great thing keep going with it, It’s getting pretty intense.
Ok, If you wanna know how tall the school is have a look at the windows. Also, to whoever it was who was asking how a big school would be in the middle of nowhere, well that happens sometimes, ok? (mutters about these dang city kids)
Chris (and others, but he was the first), absolute wow to doing the math for the zombie pile! I think i will add that to my list of “you know you’re a nerd when”. In the best possible way of course.
Awesome page, zombies in armor! vampire kid! pile o’ zombies! YAY
“Again I have to say you complete blew it on this panel, the perspective is way off.â€
Bobby, why bother explain to this idiot? Just answer him with “Waaaaaaaah, my zombie vampire comic isn’t as realistic as a zombie vampire comic should be!”
Seriously, you people can believe vampires, you can believe zombies, you can believe that some zombies were originally hungry hungry vampires, but a PILE OF DEAD BODIES is too unbelievable for you??? Look into the Battle of Antietam. The bodies got pretty high there, too, and I’ll bet that nobody scrambling over the corpses of their friends stopped to bitch about perspective or steepness.
Just my two cents here, Kenny C talking to people about how reality and online comics are different really blew my mind. Also Chriss giving an actual bodycount on the bodypile.
My comment itself, because I was thinking on the cool idea of armor ;
” “is there any reason they are wearing that instead of say, military battle armor?â€
Yes, because TFZ chose it, liked the color. ”
- Military Battle Armor ( assuming it isn’t enchanted +6/25 vs slashing damage ) is made to stop bullets. The vampires have run out of bullets. The armor you see on soldiers in the news today tends to leave the neck wide open and that’s where the vampires are aiming. Ergo Military Battle Armor would not be the best choice. SWAT armor isn’t actually thick enough to stop a really good cut from a really good sword and kevlar isn’t stab-resistant. Plus the armor you see there isn’t really what I’d call Civilian Battle Armor. And TFZ would probably have sorted out those armor and chain details before he cofined himself at the bottom on the ocean for 65 years. He could have stolen a few sets from museums and real-life-RPGers and planted them in a lockup shed paid in full for the next 65 years. Anybody who’d go to those lengths probably isn’t stupid enough to leave huge details to chance.
Given what Bobby told us about the height of the building being between 35 and 40 ft high and that the pile seems to be about 1 1/3 times the height of the school, I’d say the pile is anywhere between 46.67 and 53.33 ft high.
That is really not that unreasonable.
In a fight, you’re really not going to put too much care on not stepping on the dead(especially if they were practically dead when they were coming at you). You keep killing people on top one one another and a pile is going to build up. Once there’s a pile, you’re going to fight on it to use the high ground to your advantage so the pile is going to get bigger.
With the fact you only have the hand ful of humans inside the building and the vamps against all those zombies, you have to accept the numbers are reasonable.
In short: Stop telling Bobby it’s unrealistic. Even if it wasn’t: His comic, his rules. If you really like this comic, then you shouldn’t have anything to bitch about. If you don’t, why waste everyone’s time?
wow i just realized how great of a name devian is for a vampire like her, it just looks and feels right you know? I love the names of the characters in general.
Devian is my favorite vampire. A *nice* chick vampire who does cool things like pops down up-side down from the top of the panel to offer Mac a hand. That’s cool. Also cool how you don’t see any Superman flying poses. They look so silly.
Lex i might be wrong but i don’t think TFZ became a zombie on purpose I had gathered he was interred by mistake not by his own design can someone clarify?
If he did he must be at least as cool as rage to want to submit himself to 65 years of torture .
“Lex i might be wrong but i don’t think TFZ became a zombie on purpose I had gathered he was interred by mistake not by his own design can someone clarify?”
He most definitely did it on purpose, which is pretty obvious (million reasons, no time to explain now).
Bobby, what happened to the animals on the planet? Can animals be zombies? If so, can we expect to see a horde of undead elephants or evil birds swarming on the vamps? Love your comic btw!
I’ve been closely examining AFP’s glasses and I have reached an irrefutable conclusion. They are held onto his face (nose) strictly by the power of his scowl. Kinda like mohawk guy’s mohawk being held up by the power of the mohawk.
Seriously, dude, the things wig me out . . . Love it.
WOW if they some how win that place is gonna be so putried for a LONG LONG time.
“I’ve been closely examining AFP’s glasses and I have reached an irrefutable conclusion. They are held onto his face (nose) strictly by the power of his scowl. Kinda like mohawk guy’s mohawk being held up by the power of the mohawk.”
/me falls out of chair lauging uncontrably. HAHAHAH thats funny stuff =D
I kind of would like to see a flash back telling were he got the armor from north and south america is not known to have large supplies of combat ready armor.
Tehehe i also like how all the vampires whites are still clean after hours of gore XD its so star trek LOL.
I have to remind people that TFZ has access to anything he wants on the planet , so finding armour woudnt be hard when he has an army of 7 billion roughly to help him find armour, let alone if he takes control of a zombie who had black smithing ability he could get the zombie to bust out some armour or what ever .
Can’t wait for the end of this comic , I want to find out what happens!
just out of curiosity, what are zombies on other continents doing? just milling around moaning? cause i believe bobby said these are not all the zombies in the world
The Zombies only seem to be coming from one way. If the vamps were smart, they would divide there forces and let half fight until tired and then let the others that have rested step up and take their place. This way they would always have some rested forces.
I actually didn’t notice the disparity of the pile until reading the comments. Good work Owen.
Bobby, Was “Zombie Rrivate Ryan” Sullivan Davis, or the unnamed TFZ Murdo? Only reason I ask is the TFZ with the RPG was in full dress uniform, but “Zombie Private Ryan” was in a tank top and camo pants, I think.
Heh, I’ve been zombie obsessed since I first laid hands on the Zombie survival guide, and Vampire obsessed since I read Interview with a Vampire, its wicked sweet to find a comic with the elements of both.
Furthermore, that little vamp-child is flippin adorable, I want one
This is just a question that I’ve been meaning to ask. I understand vampires can only be killed with a stake to the heart, but does it have to be deliberately placed there or can they be killed by a stray stake? For example, let’s say another wayward RPG found its way through a wooden building. Could a vampire be killed by a shrapnel stake to the heart?
“Was “Zombie Rrivate Ryan†Sullivan Davis, or the unnamed TFZ Murdo? Only reason I ask is the TFZ with the RPG was in full dress uniform, but “Zombie Private Ryan†was in a tank top and camo pants, I think.”
Zombie Private Ryan wasn’t Sullivan Davis, it was Murdo’s grandfather (same guy we saw biting the girl on the beach), if I understand correctly. Bobby mentioned on page 90:
“It’s his. Decided to wear it for his big victory night, makes him feel more like he’s doing something honorable and right.”
Why would all the vampires waste all their ammo on all the easy zombies straight away? Those bullets could probably piece that armor and if not they could have saved it for a unknown threat that TFZ might come up with later. (seems like a waste to use it on the EZ zombies that you can easily chop their heads off)

the theroy is sound, but it would be a 1 in a 1000 shot though to place the hsard JUST right.
Ok for everyone trying to figure out the building to pile of bodies ratio crap, IT’S FRIGGIN FICTION. Who cares? BTW your math is wrong…
My bigger concern is that AFP said that “These are the last humans on Earth” so one can safely assume that zombies can swim/float/surf/walk along the bottom of the ocean/canoe/whatever around to other continents.
My question is what is takeing the youngest female and male human child going to accomplish? Cause after seeing said onslaught of the zombies here I started thinking these two kids and devian are screwed, doomed to a life of constant running away until trapped by TFZ again like they are now. Or they are going to hide in some secret hide away that zombies cant get to (Like an underground bunker). Cause I mean they cant go to another country I’m going to assume that 90% of the worlds population is dead and not still walking around, that that 10% is still alot of dead people that are still walking.
But then how are they going to survive, if in said hidden bunker? And obviously they cant repopulate the world with that much inbreeeding they future humans will have so many health problems they might be better off shuffling groaning zombies looking for brains to eat. So what can they honestly hope to accomplish other then live out their lives in a bunker…or in a van down by the river.
Anyways just wanted to hear the creators thoughts on that, out of curiousity, but honestly I like the story as is and by no means am going to blast apart an awesome work of fiction by fellow artists.
(I apologize if this has already been asked and answered…after going through so many comments all the time I loose track)
For those of you asking for a FAQ, I have an announcement to make. There is one now and complaints on that subject can be transferred from Bobby to me.
It’s unofficial but better than nothing, eh?
Note: MAJOR SPOILERS ARE CONTAINED.
Hm, where are the animals on the planet? Probably being mostly ignored, and steering clear of the swarms of walking dead. Since they’re not important to either Vampire or Zombie, then I’ll bet that TFZ isn’t wasting time with them. If Bobby wants, he can borrow my official answer: “The animals are around four feet out of panel, you just missed them.”
I’m curious. You said when someone is turned into a vampire, they stop aging. You also said A.F.P. might have been born a vamp. How does that work? Would he age to a certain point, and then stop? Or is he not actually immortal?
“what are zombies on other continents doing? just milling around moaning?”
Obviously.
“The Zombies only seem to be coming from one way. If the vamps were smart, they would divide there forces and let half fight until tired and then let the others that have rested step up and take their place.”
It’s not like the zombies are walking in a straight line. They’re coming from one basic direction, but there’s an endless supply of them and they’re still covering an area about 80 feet wide or so as they’re running up. Every vampire is needed to fight them off, and they never know when TFZ is going to decide to stop messing around with them and go after the humans for real. They need to kill as many zombies as possible.
“Could a vampire be killed by a shrapnel stake to the heart?”
Yes.
“Why would all the vampires waste all their ammo on all the easy zombies straight away?”
Because they didn’t know armored zombies were coming later and because they thought that there was no time whatsoever and that the zombies would overrun the building within minutes and kill everyone, like they just did in Mexico against a similar sized force of vampires. The only reason the zombies didn’t take over within minutes was because that wasn’t their goal — TFZ’s goal was simply to tire out the vampires and all of the zombies were just on suicide missions, as Addison just explained.
“My bigger concern is that AFP said that ‘These are the last humans on Earth’ so one can safely assume that zombies can swim/float/surf/walk along the bottom of the ocean/canoe/whatever around to other continents.”
So you’ve read NONE of the comment pages? Jeez. All of this has been answered 3,000 times, on almost every page. TFZ flew around the world in a plane smelling out everyone and dropping bombs and so on (and on and on and on — Google it).
“My question is what is takeing the youngest female and male human child going to accomplish?”
Google that, too. The answer is basically that it will let them live a little longer, maybe even just a week, who knows. Devian flies pretty fast. It doesn’t come into play, so it doesn’t matter.
“Or they are going to hide in some secret hide away that zombies cant get to (Like an underground bunker).”
LOL! Underground bunkers obviously aren’t safe. No place is safe from The First Zombie. How could underground bunkers be safe if these are the last humans left alive?
“Cause I mean they cant go to another country”
Huh? Who can’t? Devian can fly (extremely fast too) and so can TFZ (using a plane).
“I’m going to assume that 90% of the worlds population is dead and not still walking around, that that 10% is still alot of dead people that are still walking.”
No clue what you mean by that. Those numbers wouldn’t make sense under any possible scenario, though.
“So what can they honestly hope to accomplish other then live out their lives in a bunker…or in a van down by the river.”
Again, going into a bunker is hilariously pointless, and the thing they can accomplish is extending their life and hoping for a miracle. AND IT DOESN’T COME INTO PLAY IN THE STORY.
“Anyways just wanted to hear the creators thoughts on that”
And you didn’t think to read the comments for the page called “Follow These Instructions” which introduced the idea of Devian taking two kids away, where I answered this 2,000 times in massive detail?
“You also said A.F.P. might have been born a vamp. How does that work? Would he age to a certain point, and then stop?”
Answered this many times, and it’s in the FAQ Anko just posted a few comments ago. Yes, age to a certain point and stop.
Hi, love the comic. Just a suggestion Bobby, since it seems to really piss you off when fans focus on catching up on the story instead of reading every comment, but maybe having a FAQ section that people could look at before posting would keep you from being asked redundant questions.
I realize your busy, so maybe theres a fan out there somewhere who would be interested in such a project.
“Just a suggestion Bobby, since it seems to really piss you off when fans focus on catching up on the story instead of reading every comment, but maybe having a FAQ section that people could look at before posting would keep you from being asked redundant questions.”
You’re now literally at least the 15th person to suggest this in the comments and at least 15 times I’ve said that I hate the idea of an FAQ and given detailed reasons for why — Google it. Anko made a sort of FAQ and I’m linking to it because I don’t want her nice work to be wasted. Also, what pisses me off more than anything is when people say I’m pissed off about something.
just imagined up, or are they from a certain period?
helmets look 14th century, but the plate armour could be 16/17th and the legs and chainmail remind me of the saxon or viking chainmail and quilted cloth armour…
actually they look like a really big folk/viking/power metal band
Can we put aside any and all comments about how things are impossible, where things came from, how chains can hold vampires, what era the armor is from, and everything else that fits into the “shit that is irrelevant” pile, and just enjoy the damn story already? It’s a comic for Christ’s sake! Anything is possible! Sit back, relax, and enjoy a great story.
“actually they look like a really big folk/viking/power metal band”
AHHHHH ha ha haha
actually….
Wow ok i totaly claim naming my metal band “Last Blood” if it’s cool with Bobby!
Someone had just pointed out this comic to me this evening, and I’m throughly impressed! The plot’s fascinating and the artwork… words can’t do it justice.
“I would love too, but the site tells me we Canadians aren’t special enough yet…”
The vampire who turned him was a big fan of Rage when Rage was a professional wrestler and he or she turned him because he or she didn’t want Rage to ever die. That’s subject to change, though (in case the story does continue and we learn more about his background).

Medieval zombies?
Teh win!
Love that vampire kid, looks like the kind of child you’d be proud to be a parent of.
November 6th, 2007 at 1:44 am
w00t second post lol awesome story cant wait to see the ending! getting all my friends into it, cant wait for the movie keep up the good work
November 6th, 2007 at 1:52 am
3rd comment yay!! I love the Devian expresion =D “CHAINS”
November 6th, 2007 at 2:27 am
Millions by tomorrow? How long have they been fighting to wear vampires down and make a pile of that size?
Cool armor, Owen.
November 6th, 2007 at 2:35 am
Few hours, like I said on the last page.
November 6th, 2007 at 2:35 am
That looks like almost a billion bodies there. Cool.
Too bad the vampires don’t seem to keep any rocket launchers on them, that would get rid of the knight zombies.
I guess the little kid will be the first to get chained, too bad.
November 6th, 2007 at 2:42 am
Out of curiousity, what are the chains made out of that can hold the vampires?
November 6th, 2007 at 2:44 am
ima gonna guess: metal
November 6th, 2007 at 2:52 am
“Out of curiousity, what are the chains made out of that can hold the vampires?”
Click for answer.
“That looks like almost a billion bodies there.”
I hope you’re joking. That school building is pretty small. At the most there’s 700,000 in the pile, probably more like 300,000.
November 6th, 2007 at 2:54 am
Hehehe, awesome. While the pile will probably be hard to render beautifuly in a movie, it’ll probably be one of the most intense scene too ^^
Love the comic, it starts well a day
November 6th, 2007 at 3:03 am
Thats alot of bodies!!!
November 6th, 2007 at 3:09 am
Dang that’s a massive pile… O_o
November 6th, 2007 at 3:25 am
Thanks for the Birthday present. I consider this page today to be mine – whatever love the Comic.
November 6th, 2007 at 3:56 am
Well, fuck. Devian is the shit.
November 6th, 2007 at 4:30 am
I love the little kid just leaping right into the chain zombies like he doesnt care.
November 6th, 2007 at 4:33 am
working on the chain gang … in plate mail armor no less..serious weakness there in the eye holes …but when when you have a finite but huge supply of zombies to use ehh no biggie ..top of the mound for the vampires cause those suits look top heavy .. and an attack from the sides and rear for the rest of the zombies… at least that would be my plan of attack..
November 6th, 2007 at 4:51 am
Devian is hot!
Fantastic job on the comic!
November 6th, 2007 at 5:04 am
Right on Mr. Crosby…
Good stuff.
K.C.
November 6th, 2007 at 5:15 am
i love the kids expresion when he stabs that zombie “hey guys! looks what i did!”
to bad teh ammo is gone (i assume) or they could snipe them.
November 6th, 2007 at 5:21 am
November 6th, 2007 at 5:26 am
Heavy Armor = Win, in any setting. Pre-emptive strike: the armored chain guys wouldn’t have any problem getting to the top of the hill: TFZ can just have other zombies fall down near the hill to make a nice ramp if the hill is a bit too steep. It’ll be a leisurely walk for them to chain the vamps.
November 6th, 2007 at 5:58 am
The armored zombies gave me the creeps. As did the little kid. I’d probably scream at this scene, if I were to see the movie in the theatre xD. Which I will, absolutely.
And wow, Addison F. Payne is killing zombies with his BARE HANDS. o_o He’s my brand new hero, hahaha.
Goodness, now that’s a huge pile of dead bodies. Wonder how they’ll hide it, lol. The woman “calming” the kids looks histerical, for which I don’t blame her. Great work, Owen, Bobby.
November 6th, 2007 at 6:09 am
-Ana
November 6th, 2007 at 6:23 am
Oh, I left out one more thing. Murdo is TFZ’s grandson slash great grandson, it hasn’t come up in the story yet and when I asked Bobby he replied:
“…I might change him to his grandson actually, just so it doesn’t sound stupid saying “great grandson,” especially since April is TFZ’s granddaughter, so it would confuse some people about age and shit.”

November 6th, 2007 at 6:33 am
…that kid is frickin’ awesome. Does he have a name? If so, I’ll name my first son after him.
November 6th, 2007 at 6:56 am
November 6th, 2007 at 7:11 am
Wow, looks like I could get a role in the movie, hidden somewhere in that pile of zombie bodies
November 6th, 2007 at 7:11 am
Wow, there is no better way to start out a day than with psycho vamp kid stabbing an armored zombie in the face. Thanks, guys, it’s great as always.
November 6th, 2007 at 7:19 am
armourd so that they are harder to kill I assume, well they din’t take the kid vamp in to account:d
nice page….AGAIN!!!keep up the exellent work
November 6th, 2007 at 7:23 am
the little kid with the knives is too cute!
November 6th, 2007 at 7:24 am
where did AFP leave his briefcase? Wasn’t it chained to his hand?
or is that his weapon of choice?
anyway great page, love the kid and devian’s expression
November 6th, 2007 at 7:36 am
My guess is that a child would not have been expected as a vampire. Thus the chains are made for the adult sized wrists. A child vampire would slip out of them like it was nothing.
Couple to it the fact that well…children are an almost limitless source of energy and you have a mass-zombie-murdering little psychopathic tornado of glee thing going there.
November 6th, 2007 at 7:36 am
Heavy armor or light armor wouldnt matter would it.. since they can’t feel anything. Climbing a hill made of nice, easy to grip, handles and soft stomics to jam in your metal boots, how wouldnt that be easy when you cant tire or feel.
Not all vampires have super strength.. even recall something about, not even all got any special skills. Normal metal would hold even A’F'P.
was about to ask something about AFP’s glasses.. but forgot what it was.. lol..
Cheers
November 6th, 2007 at 8:02 am
@narfen…you are right but any kind of armor would stop a sword much better than mere flesh…so the “chaingang” doesn’t get killed of so fast, thus easier to put the tired vamps in chains[sounds logical to me anyway:p]
November 6th, 2007 at 8:07 am
hmmm, gonna take a guess:
if afp knew what will happen he will have a surprise ready, maybe that suitcase
so if im right we’ll have a great(they’re all great, but now greater) comic tomorrow
November 6th, 2007 at 9:05 am
All I can say is Wow…The kid is fucking godlike XD His evil grin is just perfect XD
November 6th, 2007 at 9:21 am
Dro – in the case that the vampires are chained, Murdo wouldn’t have survived as a human, either. AFP’s plan is to have Devian fly the 2 smallest children away, remember? That means rest of the humans are dead.
Fjiekie – I believe Mr. Crosby has stated multiple times the suitcase doesn’t contain anything useful for fighting Z’s. Any surprises, such as a too-small-for-chains-fuck’emup-zombie-kid, would have been a separate plan from the suitcase plan.
November 6th, 2007 at 9:51 am
WOW! chains!
November 6th, 2007 at 10:27 am
Just some quick (really bad) math . . .
November 6th, 2007 at 10:38 am
Chris, the fact that you even attempted to mathematically figure out how many bodies are in that pile makes me love you.
This comic just keeps getting better and better, I swear! I can’t wait for the movie!
November 6th, 2007 at 10:53 am
November 6th, 2007 at 10:57 am
TFZ must be very proud of his big body pile
November 6th, 2007 at 11:07 am
where did all that medieval armor come from, did the first zombie raid a few raid a few European museums? perhaps took out some LARPers or conveniently ran into a national renaissance fair day?
November 6th, 2007 at 11:20 am
November 6th, 2007 at 11:47 am
But this is more fun!
The HummingBird ~ gone again…
November 6th, 2007 at 11:49 am
sorry for the typo’s people… I blame the page… It had me all bouncy and when I bounce, I can’t type.
*whistles*
November 6th, 2007 at 12:02 pm
Modern armoring methods don’t seem to be designed to prevent decapitation, dismemberment, or total body pulverization, which is what these vampires seem to be doing. You can’t just sink your fingers into metal armor like you could zombie flesh or (in the case of stronger vamps) kevlar–no cloth to grab and hold, either, preventing you from getting as good a grip.
And since visors are just going to be smashed, and the helmets that include them aren’t as durable as solid metal, why bother attaching eye protection, I figure.
November 6th, 2007 at 12:29 pm
Y’know, I think the kid vampire has been taking lessons in “feral” from Rage – that expression on his face is as close to a “Rage” expression as a cute little kid can muster, don’t y’all think?
Brrr, chilly – and sleepy. Need more sleep in warm bed . . . *yawn*
*shuffle off*
November 6th, 2007 at 12:29 pm
Zombie knights carrying chains…. kick ass.
November 6th, 2007 at 1:08 pm
Fuck. That was awesome! Very, very, well-done Bobby and Owen. Grats.
November 6th, 2007 at 1:12 pm
I wonder what the viscosity of bodies is? That is, given that many bodies, how flat would the pile be?
Hmm.
November 6th, 2007 at 1:23 pm
Bobby, you win the f*cking internet.
November 6th, 2007 at 1:38 pm
November 6th, 2007 at 1:44 pm
Is that young black vampire from the 80′s or what? I don’t think anyone makes shorts like that anymore rofl.
November 6th, 2007 at 1:49 pm
November 6th, 2007 at 1:54 pm
It’s not supposed to be that tall and my sketch shows the scale being smaller –
http://lastblood.net/page94sketch.JPG
November 6th, 2007 at 1:59 pm
“Ok I’m thinking this won’t ever get posted since my last rant never saw the light of day but I’ve got to say it again.”
Hey, moron, I was ASLEEP. Of course someone like you would be stupid enough to think that the only conceivable reason your comment wasn’t posted is because someone chose not to post it. By the way, this guy posted his exact same comment from earlier twice, the second time two hours later.
“Again I have to say you complete blew it on this panel, the perspective is way off.”
Put my sketch through those same calculations and tell me what you come up with.
November 6th, 2007 at 2:06 pm
I love that the zombie eye goo continues to glow as Webster is gouging the eyes from their sockets. The armor zombies look a little like the Iron Giant. Just for fun you should get Vin Diesel to do the voice of one of them in the movie.
And I love the mountain o’zombies. It makes me want to rake leaves and dive in, only on a much bigger scale…
November 6th, 2007 at 2:29 pm
Coolest kid ever!
November 6th, 2007 at 3:54 pm
Wonder if Mac’s Still Alive…
November 6th, 2007 at 3:54 pm
it’s a shame the pile looks so odd and perfectly formed. it just kind of sticks out, especially as the art has been constantly improving lately. the rest of this page rocks, though.
i also really love the look of the chain gang, really spooky and atmospheric. for a second i thought they were robots, though. that really confused me, i thought:
” surely not vampires and zombies AND ROBOTS!? ”
x.
November 6th, 2007 at 4:01 pm
I have yet to not be amazed by two things on this site:
1)The complaints from viewers who should be grateful for the sheer greatness of the site
2)The sheer greatness of the plot, dialogue, and art
Thanks to both Mr. Crosby’s
November 6th, 2007 at 4:05 pm
Putting your sketch through the pixel count, the pile would still be 85-120 feet high. Thats still roughly a 10 story building. The one in the actual comic would be closer to 20 stories.
I agree with ocean. The pile is too perfectly symmetrical. It looks unnatural. I still love the page.
November 6th, 2007 at 4:24 pm
ya,where is mac? is he inside or still fighte=ing? and is april or one of them gonna come out with some “snacks” for the vamps?
November 6th, 2007 at 4:28 pm
November 6th, 2007 at 5:01 pm
Well i was thinking to avoid capture couldent have 1 or 2 of them go back in take a blood break then come out ready to fight (just enough to keep going) then when they get back some others go inside and also take a break. Or is there just to many zombies coming at them the whole time.
But this is a great thing keep going with it, It’s getting pretty intense.
November 6th, 2007 at 5:02 pm
What you talking about Willis! Freaking let the world end! Gary Coleman is still here!
November 6th, 2007 at 5:16 pm
“Or is there just to many zombies coming at them the whole time.”
Way too many.
November 6th, 2007 at 5:18 pm
i gree with ro. We should have Gary Coleman play the part for the vampire kid in the movie.
November 6th, 2007 at 5:31 pm
““Thanks to both Mr. Crosby’sâ€
Don’t forget Owen.”
Sorry- for a moment I accidentally thought that …well it doesn’t matter. Mr. Gieni, thank you for this wonderful art.
November 6th, 2007 at 5:36 pm
Ok, If you wanna know how tall the school is have a look at the windows. Also, to whoever it was who was asking how a big school would be in the middle of nowhere, well that happens sometimes, ok? (mutters about these dang city kids)
Chris (and others, but he was the first), absolute wow to doing the math for the zombie pile! I think i will add that to my list of “you know you’re a nerd when”. In the best possible way of course.
Awesome page, zombies in armor! vampire kid! pile o’ zombies! YAY
November 6th, 2007 at 6:03 pm
I don’t give a damn how tall the school is!
And neither does anyone else! There are zombies IN ARMOR marching on the pile!! Shhhhhh….you’re ruining the movie-comic-awesomeness.
November 6th, 2007 at 7:19 pm
hmmm a black vamp kid with knives, lol its Blade as a kid.
November 6th, 2007 at 7:28 pm
must be hard to keep their footing, is mac up there? He must be REALLY tired if he is!
November 6th, 2007 at 8:44 pm
November 6th, 2007 at 9:36 pm
Vamp Tyke (Tycho for a name, perhaps?) is totally awesome. He reminds me of a cross of Lil’ Coleman and Fairbanks.
November 6th, 2007 at 9:48 pm
Just my two cents here, Kenny C talking to people about how reality and online comics are different really blew my mind. Also Chriss giving an actual bodycount on the bodypile.
My comment itself, because I was thinking on the cool idea of armor ;
November 6th, 2007 at 9:55 pm
I mean, we have a good estimate on the height and volume of a giant pile of deader thand dead bodies. Happy.
November 6th, 2007 at 9:55 pm
November 6th, 2007 at 10:04 pm
wow i just realized how great of a name devian is for a vampire like her, it just looks and feels right you know? I love the names of the characters in general.
great comic love the art =)
November 6th, 2007 at 10:16 pm
Devian is my favorite vampire. A *nice* chick vampire who does cool things like pops down up-side down from the top of the panel to offer Mac a hand. That’s cool. Also cool how you don’t see any Superman flying poses. They look so silly.
November 6th, 2007 at 10:19 pm
Lex i might be wrong but i don’t think TFZ became a zombie on purpose I had gathered he was interred by mistake not by his own design can someone clarify?
If he did he must be at least as cool as rage to want to submit himself to 65 years of torture
.
November 6th, 2007 at 10:21 pm
“Lex i might be wrong but i don’t think TFZ became a zombie on purpose I had gathered he was interred by mistake not by his own design can someone clarify?”
He most definitely did it on purpose, which is pretty obvious (million reasons, no time to explain now).
November 6th, 2007 at 11:03 pm
Bobby, what happened to the animals on the planet? Can animals be zombies? If so, can we expect to see a horde of undead elephants or evil birds swarming on the vamps? Love your comic btw!
November 6th, 2007 at 11:06 pm
No zombie animals, only humans.
November 6th, 2007 at 11:30 pm
I’ve been closely examining AFP’s glasses and I have reached an irrefutable conclusion. They are held onto his face (nose) strictly by the power of his scowl. Kinda like mohawk guy’s mohawk being held up by the power of the mohawk.
Seriously, dude, the things wig me out . . .
Love it.
November 6th, 2007 at 11:56 pm
November 7th, 2007 at 4:03 am
Does A.F.P. have a sword or is he taking that zombies head off with a punch? A punch would be awsome.
November 7th, 2007 at 4:22 am
I have to remind people that TFZ has access to anything he wants on the planet , so finding armour woudnt be hard when he has an army of 7 billion roughly to help him find armour, let alone if he takes control of a zombie who had black smithing ability he could get the zombie to bust out some armour or what ever .
Can’t wait for the end of this comic , I want to find out what happens!
November 7th, 2007 at 4:41 am
armour covered zombies. sweeeeet.
November 7th, 2007 at 6:11 am
just out of curiosity, what are zombies on other continents doing? just milling around moaning? cause i believe bobby said these are not all the zombies in the world
November 7th, 2007 at 7:36 am
The Zombies only seem to be coming from one way. If the vamps were smart, they would divide there forces and let half fight until tired and then let the others that have rested step up and take their place. This way they would always have some rested forces.
November 7th, 2007 at 8:19 am
I actually didn’t notice the disparity of the pile until reading the comments. Good work Owen.
Bobby, Was “Zombie Rrivate Ryan” Sullivan Davis, or the unnamed TFZ Murdo? Only reason I ask is the TFZ with the RPG was in full dress uniform, but “Zombie Private Ryan” was in a tank top and camo pants, I think.
November 7th, 2007 at 8:37 am
wow!
November 7th, 2007 at 9:04 am
Heh, I’ve been zombie obsessed since I first laid hands on the Zombie survival guide, and Vampire obsessed since I read Interview with a Vampire, its wicked sweet to find a comic with the elements of both.
Furthermore, that little vamp-child is flippin adorable, I want one
November 7th, 2007 at 9:44 am
This is just a question that I’ve been meaning to ask. I understand vampires can only be killed with a stake to the heart, but does it have to be deliberately placed there or can they be killed by a stray stake? For example, let’s say another wayward RPG found its way through a wooden building. Could a vampire be killed by a shrapnel stake to the heart?
November 7th, 2007 at 10:16 am
He didn’t specify how TFZ got it, though.

November 7th, 2007 at 10:34 am
Why would all the vampires waste all their ammo on all the easy zombies straight away? Those bullets could probably piece that armor and if not they could have saved it for a unknown threat that TFZ might come up with later. (seems like a waste to use it on the EZ zombies that you can easily chop their heads off)

the theroy is sound, but it would be a 1 in a 1000 shot though to place the hsard JUST right.
November 7th, 2007 at 11:28 am
AFP’s awesomeness shines through the way he just punches the head off that zombie, lol, btw, great job Bobby
November 7th, 2007 at 11:56 am
November 7th, 2007 at 12:13 pm
So, I just finished going through the archives… this is a bombing comic, can’t wait to see where you take it.
November 7th, 2007 at 12:54 pm
For those of you asking for a FAQ, I have an announcement to make. There is one now and complaints on that subject can be transferred from Bobby to me.
It’s unofficial but better than nothing, eh?
Note: MAJOR SPOILERS ARE CONTAINED.
http://www.freewebs.com/lastbloodfaq/
November 7th, 2007 at 1:15 pm
Hm, where are the animals on the planet? Probably being mostly ignored, and steering clear of the swarms of walking dead. Since they’re not important to either Vampire or Zombie, then I’ll bet that TFZ isn’t wasting time with them. If Bobby wants, he can borrow my official answer: “The animals are around four feet out of panel, you just missed them.”
November 7th, 2007 at 1:22 pm
One of the vampires now should definitely say to Murdo: ‘Soon you gonna wish you hadn’t been turned’
November 7th, 2007 at 3:20 pm
I’m curious. You said when someone is turned into a vampire, they stop aging. You also said A.F.P. might have been born a vamp. How does that work? Would he age to a certain point, and then stop? Or is he not actually immortal?
November 7th, 2007 at 3:23 pm
November 7th, 2007 at 3:39 pm
$20 say that Mac steps up to the plate and saves the vampires that get chained
November 7th, 2007 at 4:47 pm
Ok…totally off topic, but everytime I see TFZ, all I hear in my head is Team Fortress Zombie.
I think that game needs to be made.
To bring it back on to track, kickass comic Bobby. Keep up the good work.
November 7th, 2007 at 5:33 pm
Hi, love the comic. Just a suggestion Bobby, since it seems to really piss you off when fans focus on catching up on the story instead of reading every comment, but maybe having a FAQ section that people could look at before posting would keep you from being asked redundant questions.
I realize your busy, so maybe theres a fan out there somewhere who would be interested in such a project.
Anywho, just a suggestion
November 7th, 2007 at 5:35 pm
Woops! Sorry, missed the last line of your last comment. Way to go Anko!
November 7th, 2007 at 5:40 pm
Glad you like the comic.
November 7th, 2007 at 6:30 pm
that FAQ answered a few questions I couldn’t be bothered to ask or to look for , hurrah!
Although I knew from reading the story, the FAQ reminded me to HA! at maths no sex for 100 years , silly math :p
November 7th, 2007 at 7:07 pm
Where did the armour designs come from?
just imagined up, or are they from a certain period?
helmets look 14th century, but the plate armour could be 16/17th and the legs and chainmail remind me of the saxon or viking chainmail and quilted cloth armour…
actually they look like a really big folk/viking/power metal band
November 7th, 2007 at 8:10 pm
is there anything more innocent or precious than a child’s smile?
November 7th, 2007 at 10:15 pm
I just have one thing to say here…
Can we put aside any and all comments about how things are impossible, where things came from, how chains can hold vampires, what era the armor is from, and everything else that fits into the “shit that is irrelevant” pile, and just enjoy the damn story already? It’s a comic for Christ’s sake! Anything is possible! Sit back, relax, and enjoy a great story.
November 7th, 2007 at 10:28 pm
“actually they look like a really big folk/viking/power metal band”
AHHHHH ha ha haha
actually….
Wow ok i totaly claim naming my metal band “Last Blood” if it’s cool with Bobby!
November 7th, 2007 at 11:39 pm
Someone had just pointed out this comic to me this evening, and I’m throughly impressed! The plot’s fascinating and the artwork… words can’t do it justice.
November 8th, 2007 at 12:36 am
ingledients! mate to save bobby’s time in his sketch the armour base was a google image and the final product is all owens greatness
November 8th, 2007 at 9:20 am
Hey, awesome comic, fiending for more… 2 questions though, Does the kid have a name yet? and who in thier right mind turned Rage?
November 8th, 2007 at 6:38 pm
“Does the kid have a name yet?”
Not yet.
“and who in thier right mind turned Rage?”
Haven’t decided yet, but download the WOWIO books to read background info on Rage and why he was turned.
November 9th, 2007 at 7:34 am
I would love too, but the site tells me we Canadians aren’t special enough yet…
November 9th, 2007 at 9:32 am
cool cool, I think mr Sean over there needs to calm down a bit though…
November 9th, 2007 at 1:43 pm
“I would love too, but the site tells me we Canadians aren’t special enough yet…”
The vampire who turned him was a big fan of Rage when Rage was a professional wrestler and he or she turned him because he or she didn’t want Rage to ever die. That’s subject to change, though (in case the story does continue and we learn more about his background).
November 13th, 2007 at 10:56 am
Thanks
I too am a big fan of Rage… I can’t tell if its the fact hes a lunatic, or the beard.. or maybe a little from column A, a little from column B…
November 20th, 2007 at 12:54 pm
wooooooo creepy vampire kid.
That is so badass. Everything is badass.
Expecially the giant zombie mountain. That was too freaken cool.

Also.
“king of the hill, zombie rules”
Just sayin.
January 19th, 2008 at 7:31 pm
This has to be the best Vampire/Zombie comic I’ve ever read. The ideas you’ve come up with are bloody amazing.
April 3rd, 2008 at 5:24 pm
I’ve just started reading this comic four hours ago. Yeah, I could have blazed through it, but the artwork is as amazing as the plot.
Anyway…
Armored Zombies may be scary, but that little fucker tops any zombie ANYWHERE!
May 23rd, 2008 at 7:36 am
hah! little black vampire kid ROCKS!
September 2nd, 2008 at 1:05 am
Armored zombies are scary but tiny vampire children who blind armored zombies are AWESOME.
….
How come the weight of the armor doesn’t make them just… disintegrate?
