  1. Anko Says:

Grady has an evil sense of humor.

Umm, yeah, not much else to say.

  2. Clyde Barrow Says:

WIN! Zombies with guns, Grady being, well, Grady! Great page, guys! Keep up the most excellent work!

  3. Calendula Says:

    Omg. Great. I love it.

  4. martin Says:

i love site of sulivan’s army taking on the rest of the zombies and the fifth panel is great. it feels good to be back in the action too after all that dialouge.

  5. Nero Says:

Bloody hell this is an incredible page, nice job Bobby & Owen

  6. Jeff Says:

That was awesome. I wonder just how many that first wave of bullets took out?

  7. poster Says:

    yo first time posting

that is funny as hell and all to true

  8. NotStephenColbert Says:

Damn, Grady sure would make a fine president.

  9. Nero Says:

    “Cold dead hands”

    Awesome.

:) Zombies with machine guns? Even better. This is so damn awesome–one of my favorite pages yet. Yeah Sullivan!!

  10. Arkus Says:

    Aww, no first comment D:

  11. Fink6 Says:

Yeah, speaking of how many they took out… considering the amount killed by the vamps and those killed (nuked) rather than being bitten… about how many did WLB have?

  12. Joseph Says:

ha ha :D Genius , love the contrast of the faces on the good zombies looking determined / angry and the bad zombies shitting their pants .

  13. Cat Says:

HAHAHA! Grady amuses me to no end. There’s an army of zombies coming at him and he says that. xD

    Also, Sullivan so PWNs.

    That is all.

  14. Altair Says:

“This is why I love America! You couldn’t even pry the guns from our cold dead hands!”

New favorite quote! I nearly passed out when I hit the refresh button for the fifty-fifth consecutive time and a NEW PAGE came up.
Then I fell off the chair and didn’t even get remotely close to first post. Blaugh.

Oh well. The badassness of this page completely makes up for it, since…well… zombies with machine guns+adorable Math in the first panel=happy, happy day for MEEEeeeeeEEEEeee!!

  15. Engineer Says:

Um, lets see, google says worlds population is around 6,694,196,345 at least when I looked. So WLB had about 60 less than that, (30 odd humans, 30 odd vamps) plus Davis and his 3000 ‘Cold Dead Brigade’.

So still over 6 BILLION. And now all without a leader. Answer your question Fink6?

Granted all 6 billion are not on the North American continent, but still… Probably a million or better close enough to worry about.

  16. D.B. Says:

    woo yeah, zombie firing line!

  17. Speakerftdead Says:

    This page is excellent.

    ‘Nuff said.

  18. Sol Says:

Sulivan needs to have a lit cigar in his mouth in the third panel…

Other that that this the best online graphic novels I’ve ever read.

  19. Kenny C. Says:

At least 4 million, because I think I remember Bobby saying that Francis showed up with Millions and Millions (Maybe someone else said it in a reply to Bobby or a question to Bobby, can’t be sure, too lazy to go back and check.) So if the first Millions is 2 million and the second is also 2 million, that qualifies. If I did this, I’d take a few extra days or weeks even to make sure that when I showed up I had the proper entourage. I’d probably also bling my zombies out with mad chains and the like. But that’s just me.

  20. Lillian Says:

What does he mean by “let them pass”?

  21. NotStephenColbert Says:

“What does he mean by “let them pass”?”
He instructs the survivors to let his horde pass (as in don’t attack them).

  22. NotStephenColbert Says:

If you look at the last panel, you’ll notice Sullivan’s horde is marching now. I should’ve said that for clarity in my previous post.

  23. NiamhBlack Says:

Sweet, I took a break from my homework to see if the page had been updated, and to my surprise is has! This is by far the best page (and everyone knows, that’s saying something!) Grady is awesome.

Once again, Sullivan=Duke from GI Joe.

  24. XJPhoenix Says:

Perhaps Sully is telling the humans to stay where they are and not to run/attack.

    Sweet page guys…

Owen: Awesome detail on Sullivan’s neck and arm. I can’t imagine thats easy to do!

Love the expressions on Sullivan’s Saviours. I wonder; are they grim. gritty and determined? Or mad because they’ve marched so far on empty stomachs and aren’t going to be allowed to nibble on the lovely humans.

Perhaps they’re simply reflecting Sully’s emotions?

    Very cool.

    :)

  25. Jae Says:

just few hundreds of thousands more to go~

  26. Cdraz Says:

dude that was sick realy good job on this page like the art work alot

  27. Kelvrick Says:

Sorry for asking a repeat question and being a dumbass, but since Bobby seems to be online…

Since WLB is dead, his zombies should lose their mission and basically go back to being stupid blood-finding zombies, right? That means they should just be wanting human blood, not even bothering fighting other TFZ zombies or vamps? Unless its that whole unified zombies under a single TFZ thing so they only just don’t destroy each other… Damn, I hate it when I answer my own question. Oh well, great comic.

  28. Lydia Says:

    Zombie fight!!!

Didn’t see that coming, I’ll give you that much.

  29. Cdraz Says:

NotStephenColbert who are you and why do u have that name?

  30. Kevin Carlson Says:

…hmmmm this story has taken a strange turn here and at this point I have no idea where its going to next.

  31. Bobby Crosby Says:

Kelvrick: Don’t know what your point is. They still want human blood, as you just said, and there are MILLIONS OF THEM in the immediate area (and billions across the globe). Maybe you haven’t realized that the zombies with machine guns are under the control of a different TFZ, not WLB?

  32. Jaysburn Says:

“So WLB had about 60 less than that, (30 odd humans, 30 odd vamps) plus Davis and his 3000 ‘Cold Dead Brigade’.”
No, he had a hellova lot less than that. Like, 1.9 billion less. The ones who were killed in the nuklear war, or snapped and murdered others/themselves.

  33. Bad Gift Says:

Quick question that’s not exactly about the comic itself. What is a ‘non-anonymous’ email adress? I’d like to sign up on WOWIO but I’m not sure what a non-anonymous email adress is and can’t currently afford the other methods. Great comic as always. Sullivan Davis ftw!

  34. Coleslaw Says:

Finally! Woot, the Deus Ex Machina ive been waiting for! Hopefully things should be for the better now, cause it certainly cant get any worse.

  35. Tegu Says:

    OH

    MY

    FRACKING

    GOD

    !!!!!

This page total blows all other pages. I’m sorry, but it does. And now to go from crazed fan boy to someone who thinks they know what’s going on. By the way, either I called this, or Bobby liked my idea. Either way, SWEEEEET!!!!

Um, ok now. “Let them pass.” Telling his zombies to let the survivors pass, to get them behind the protective line. So, don’t attack/run over them.

And I love the look on the NUZ (Now Uncontrolled Zombies) faces as they meet what I call iron rain.

And his hair just plain rocks. No one can say that is bad hair. I’m a dude who doesn’t even own a comb and I love that hair.

At the same time, I’m wondering where the skin starts and stops. It looks like the flesh ear is just chilling on the bone skull without any rip.

  36. Jaysburn Says:

And there were 200 vamps, not 30. Sorry for the double post, just forgot this.

  37. NiamhBlack Says:

Kelvrick, TFZ’s zombies are going directly after the humans. Read the comments back on the last couple of pages and that will more than answer your question.

  38. Kelvrick Says:

Sorry, just a nitpick, but the ejection port on uzi’s are on the right side like most guns, throwing spent casings to the right of the shooter. The ones in frame 3 almost look like they’re coming out the top. That, and too bad so many people are trying to the ability for our live hands to have firearms.

  39. Kelvrick Says:

Blah, didn’t see your response, bobby, or would have included in my previous post.

What I meant was that it wouldn’t really be a zombie fight, as WLB zombies are going for human blood and wouldn’t really be interested in SD zombies or the vamps. Kinda makes it so its just vamps and SD zombies killing WLB zombies as they scramble for the humans.

  40. Jaysburn Says:

And by let them pass, as has been said, he meant let his zombies pass (wich for the humans, and some vampires, would probably be damn scary. Just looking around to see yourself in a sea of zombies.)
And it should be obvious, since Murdo and Grady were at the back and the zombies have now reached them, meaning the first 5-20 lines have already passed the rest of them.

  41. Tegu Says:

Does anyone else love looking at the sketches next to the finished thing? I know I do. Bobby, you still draw better than most people I know, and seeing them evolve into Owen’s work is just fantastic. The slight differences, like in Sullivan’s posture is just do much more dramatic when you compare the two.

  42. Tom Says:

Nice job with this page, loving the zombie army, so kickass

  43. Bobby Crosby Says:

“can’t currently afford the other methods.”

All WOWIO options are FREE, so I don’t know what you mean there. Non-anonymous e-mail address means something that’s not Gmail or Yahoo or Hotmail or one of those big sites — needs to be something like a school address or from your own personal site or whatever. I signed up with a credit card (FREE).

  44. NotStephenColbert Says:

@ Cdraz: I’m not him, ofc. Just use the name on forums ever I saw the episode in which Stephen used it. Figured it might be an acceptable inside-joke for the people who also saw that episode.

  45. Cdraz Says:

hey bobby/ owen u ever read WWZ? just asking cuase if u read that book it might have effected the way u right the story.

  46. Bobby Crosby Says:

I’ve never read any zombie or vampire books — have said this many times.  I believe Owen has read at least one, possibly many.

  47. TJCool Says:

I’ve been following this comic for a couple months now. I’ve enjoyed it from the beginning, but this page is freakin awesome!

*cold dead hands* LOL Hell yeah!

  48. DocN Says:

    Total number of zombies?

Well, as I said, the US population is somewhere around 300 million. Population of Canada at about 10 million. Not sure on Mexico, let’s just say another 25 million, just to throw out a number.

In a nuclear war, the weapons are targeted on city centers- and any survivors would tend to *also* huddle around cities- if for no other reason than that’s where the food and supplies are.

I could *easily* see a full quarter of the US population dying in a nuclear exchange. New York, LA, Chicago, Dallas, Seattle, Miami… a large portion of the population lives in those places.

Suicide/murder would be a significant chunk, tens of thousands easily. A hundred thou is not off the mark. Figure an easy second 100K from “death by misfortune”- somebody locks himself in a small building, can’t get out ’cause of the zombies, starves to death. Others die because they can’t get their insulin, or need an oxygen tank. Infants and toddlers starve. And so on.

Now, presuming Francis didn’t have more zombies shipped over, or had large numbers of the walk the ocean floor to get there, you’re still looking at 200 to 250 million total zombies in North America.

So here, Sullivan’s goons “only” have to kill about 83,000 zombies apiece. :)

On the plus side, I can easily see that pile o’ bodies in front of the school containing 100K dead. Thirtyish vamps with few guns and lots of swords killed them in only a few hours. Considering the now-leaderless zombies out past the horizon probably aren’t converging on the school anymore (there being no visible light/heat/blood/motion for them to see and chase) Sully’s mob ought to be able to clean up the general vicinity relatively easily.

I just hope they brought *lots* of extra ammo. :)

    Doc.

  49. J-lee Says:

Well I just read the whole thing up to this point yesterday and I’ts amazing. Love this page a lot though! Awesome~

  50. Luke Says:

    dammit I love this comic!

  51. Kamatu Says:

Need ammo bags. Something that can carry LOTS of clips. Uzi SMGs dump a clip in about 3 seconds. Of course, they could be on the later rank zombies and do a modern version of the pass the weapon back and get a new reloaded one.

Hmmmm, could zombies be patterned like bots with fixed commands so that they could be given one command that would let them fire, pass weapon back, get new weapon and fire? The ones in the rear would be reloading.

  52. McGurker Says:

    DocN, I like your style.

  53. Bloodwrath Says:

    Grady rocks

  54. Stine Says:

    AWESOMEST OF AWESOME.

    Totally voting for Grady.

  55. SEA Says:

    OH.MY.GOD.

This is such an AWESOME scene, zombies with machine guns, who would have thought?

I am SOOOO glad i found Last Blood!

  56. Ian Lee V Says:

are you serious that murdo is gay or is that some joke.. lol… not like it matters in the overall story anyway…. awesome page as usual…. the art has gotten so much better since the beginning…. Owen is definetly a pro now….

  57. Bobby Crosby Says:

    100% joke about Murdo.

  58. Slaine Says:

Zombies using machine guns to kill other zombies….. this comic has hit a new level of awesome!

Can’t wait for the next page!

  59. Slaine Says:

Geez… anyone who didn’t get that joke about Murdo needs to go back and re-read the first 100 or so pages. :)

    Also, I’d vote for Grady!

  60. Webreever Says:

    Well isn’t this interesting…the first zombie is a good guy…….er…sort of…

  61. blargishmurgles Says:

Hah, if Murdo was gay then I doubt he’d have been so anxious to knock up Val…

Anyway, this may be the most epic page ever.

    EVER.

  62. Snipir Says:

I just love the zombies in panel four with the “OH NOES! I’VE BEEN SHOT!” look. And I must say that this is the first time I’ve ever seen a zombie with a gun. I’m guessing eventually they’ll be driving tanks and waging nuclear war. Seeing as how a Schaemiac can make them do anything, I guess it might be possible to see this in the later comics xD Keep up the good work Owen and Bobby!

  63. Jaysburn Says:

    DocN:
    Wow… just… ignorance to fact.
Canada has 10 million? What is WRONG with you?
You got America wrong, even. Not by a tonne, but you were off by 100 million. You hit Canada at around 1/4 of what it has. That’s just sad, and insulting.

And to everyone else, OBVIOUSSLY they have a lot more ammo. You think 3000 zombies can’t lug around a huge supply of equipment? It’s not like they get tired.

  64. Kenny C. Says:

If Murdo is gay and got to nail (well, get nailed by) Val, then damn man, I’m gonna start trying to date men, because that’s one hell of a strategy.

  65. Rikki Says:

Long time reader, first time poster.

    WOW!

This is my favourite page so far. Sounds geeky, but it brought me the same sense of relief that I felt when I was watching LOTR II at the movies and Gandalf and the riders of Rohan appeared over the hill near Helms Deep, just when you thought everyone inside the keep were all shagged.

Keep up the excellent work guys!

  66. jason G Says:

ok im a long time reader but this is my first time posting. i just have to say that my jaw droped to the floor when i saw this. i think that it might be worth surviving the end of the world to just see that. a bunch of zombies with machine guns in a firing line to protect humans. just amazing art to.

  67. baldaian Says:

At this point… I do not believe it is really allowed for any of the remaining humans to be homosexuals… As if repopulating the world wouldn’t be hard enough with the limited population here, having people refusing to contribute would probably not be allowed to happen…

  68. HammerofDawn Says:

    To Jaysburn.
I agree that DocN’s ignorance is rater insulting, but in the end his reasoning does make sense. The only thing to change would be the number of “bad zombies” to be killed. I’m pulling numbers out of my ass here but 150000-300000 for each “good zombie” seems to fit. Also, the gz don’t have to kill every single bz they see. They could just fight to slow down the bz while the humans and vamps run away. If the good guys run away far and fast enough maybe the rest of the zombie horde will stop smelling them and walk around aimlessly. The goodguys good guys could thenhide somewhere hard to reach, in the mountains, on an island, in a big boat until the hordes have rotted and they can resume a “normal” life. Or they could meet up with that group alluded to by (doctor? can’t remember his name).

  69. HammerofDawn Says:

Also, hasn’t anyone read the comments?
    MURDO IS NOT GAY!!!

  70. NoBody Says:

Anyone again noticed the smiling zombie in the 2nd panel?

    Again love it. XD

  71. Crocen Says:

Hahaha. Go American Zombies WE R ownagerz lol.

  72. Cdraz Says:

the comics great cant wait till the movie (when ever in comes out?) I think you guys got real talant keep drawing and writing good

  73. Snake Says:

that much awesome was simply two much, zombies with guns damn thats sweet

  74. wedge Says:

thats probably my favorite Grady quote

  75. Last Blood Observer Says:

Sullivan looks pretty badass in this strip! I know that if I was in that fight I would definitely want him on my side.

Plus there is nothing cooler than to have an army of undead unleashing rounds of ammunition into the opposing enemy. I can’t wait to see how things progress from here on out…especially with Sullivan’s motives and whatnot.

    Great job Bobby and Owen!

  76. Trinidad Says:

I like how Sully actually barks orders at his zeds, as opposed to Francis’ silent mind control. It certainly adds to his retained humanity. Awesome work, as always.

  77. Arilean Says:

Awesome, let the ownage begin! Well, it has… so um.
    YAYYYY

  78. achrin Says:

talk about your close shaves , those zombies were within seconds of having grady for an late dinner meal … zombie firing squads , the wave of the future , cold blooded killers now with real cold blood and real hot lead … neat jacket fourth panel 5th zombie there, castle this zombie scum … this is one of those scenes of a movie that will have the audience shouting and clapping …

  79. Tegu Says:

I’d imagine a mental command is easier to give with a verbal component. He is also giving a more complicated command. WLB says “don’t move.” Sullivan says “Shoot the zombies, not the human, and also, don’t eat the humans!”

  80. Alex H Says:

well the good news is that with how soft their heads probably are from roting the bullets are probably passing right through them and into other zombies so there is a plus

  81. Dart08 Says:

for some reason, Sullivan’s zombies look way less corpsy than the bad zombies. i mean, almost like regular guys with a rash.
i guess sullivan takes better care of his zombies somehow

  82. z5blue Says:

    “EVERYBODY ON THE GROUND!”

The moment I read that I heard it in my head as someone saying it with a , certain Austrian’s, accent. This page is brilliant and it’s only just leading up to the real action.

  83. Jonathan Says:

Hey everyone the Forum for Last Blood and Marry me is up! Go check it out!

    http://z15.invisionfree.com/BobbyCrosby_Fansite

    http://z15.invisionfree.com/BobbyCrosby_Fansite

  84. Bobby Crosby Says:

Sullivan’s zombies were humans like a week ago. Most of Francis’s troops have been zombies for almost a month.

  85. Kaze Says:

    Dear Santa,

Please have Bobby allow Sullivan to say “GET TO DA CHOPPAH!!!” somewhere in the next few pages. I have been a good boy this year.

    Thank you,

    Kaze

  86. Scarecrow Says:

‘Once we figure out how to use guns you’re all fucked!’ – unknown zombie

    looks like he was right

  87. Jonathan Says:

Bobby no chance you can link for forum please?

  88. Narfen Says:

Well… In the end I would imagine Sully’s ( im gonna call him that) Zommies have to use their melee weps. Even a blade gets dull after going through that amount of meat, and I dont really think the whole, lets use Uzi’s to kill all of these, is his master plan, more like a, rip apart those in front, so we can evacuate the civics. Makes sense seeming that Grady and Murdo arent more than 1-2 feet ahead of being a feast.

In the end I bet hes gonna suicide.. after travelling around the globe with his cute little army, and maybe a few hummies as baits to get rid of the last zommies.

  89. Anko Says:

“In the end I bet hes gonna suicide.. after travelling around the globe with his cute little army, and maybe a few hummies as baits to get rid of the last zommies. ”

What? Why would Sullivan commit suicide?

  90. Jade Says:

Already been said, but Grady’s line is fantastic.

  91. Tegu Says:

I’m curious as to how Murdo will respond. His gramp is a WLB, and April’s is the hero. maybe speculating he will try and stake him. But I’m really hoping that WLB syndrome doesn’t run in the family.

Sully prolly with get Rage and BB and a few others and take his army around the world, cleaning out all the NUZ, then kill his zombies. As much fun as an army that obeys your every though is, one slip up and watch out. plus, think of all the random thought you have during a day. one second of aggression and we have a new outbreak.

I hope sully lives happily ever after as AFP’s replacement. He got his powers and more.

  92. fieldy409 Says:

if any of them are gay….I say you still have to do your bit, just shut your eyes and think of brad pitt or something.

Yeah, id reckon sullivan would wanna kill himself when this is all over(making his zombies kill each other first though. Do tfz’s suffer after the 65 years bobby? I mean, they are all rotten. That would at least suck.

  93. Anko Says:

“Do tfz’s suffer after the 65 years?”

    No.

  94. Ek Says:

Awesome page. After trekking home from work in the snow I can find warmth and comfort in my zombie horde :)

I’m loving Grady’s facial expression in pannel 6. I can’t wait until tomorrow.

  95. NiamhBlack Says:

Only vampires suffer through the 65 year ordeal.

  96. ThePrisoner Says:

Sullivan is my hero :D DDD

  97. Cicero Says:

Great page! Should have had one of Sully’s squad look a bit like Charlton Heston, that would have been fricken hilarious!

    Later,

  98. Zaccaro Says:

I have never yet posted a comment but this was so awesome page that I had to. Last blood kicks serious ass and this page is the best yet.

  99. DocN Says:

I can see why Bobby gets so exasperated with you guys. :)

Misestimating a population of a country is “insulting”? Remind me not to *actually* insult you!

Canada was off the top of my head, Mexico I clearly noted I had no idea and threw a number out just to have a number. Would it have been better/different if I Wiki’d it and quoted exact 2007 Population Estimates?

No, of course not. It’s a generality- suffice it to say that, while not all of the four or five billion zombies (that Bobby has stated are still around) are on the North American continent, there’s still a sufficiently large number of millions wandering about that even Sullivan’s tireless undead army and a couple of ammo dumps’ worth of expendible muntions will have some trouble dealing with them all.

Now, on the plus side, the price of oil is down, there’s finally peace in the Middle East, and anthropogenic global warming probably isn’t a concern anymore. :)

On the other hand, no new “Battlestar Galactica” episodes, so it’s kind of a wash.

    Doc.

  100. Nekokaburi Says:

Uzi’s are a really bad choice of weapon… Not that zombies are likely to be sharpshooters, but while an uzi can cut down a small tree, it’s not the most accurate weapon and even with really big ammo bags, ammo would probably become a problem fast. As someone else said, an uzi can empty a magazine in under three seconds or your money back.

It would make for a hell of a trailer for the movie, though.

  101. DocN Says:

Uzi’s are also not a common US weapon.

One presumes that Sullivan raided an Army Depot to get guns and ammo, and so should probably have M-16′s and M-4s, along with M-240′s and so on.

Is it too much to hope to see some zombies drive up in a Bradley with a couple of Ma-Deuces and a 20mm Bushmaster chain gun? :)

    Doc.

  102. WolfMan Says:

    ““EVERYBODY ON THE GROUND!”

The moment I read that I heard it in my head as someone saying it with a , certain Austrian’s, accent. This page is brilliant and it’s only just leading up to the real action. ”

Who knows, maybe they’ll all escape in ‘Da Choppah’

  103. Kopla Says:

I just have to ask, when you say zombies can do anything they could when alive, and hence talk, does that include the ones whose throats were ripped out? Cause that does kinda seem to be how most zombie eaten people go down….

  104. Ayashi Says:

Terrific comic, brilliant writing and incredible artwork. My obligatory question:

Schaemiacs, like vampires, cannot be killed unless it’s wood through the heart. Assuming things like severed limbs/assorted appendages would be regenerated, would a schaemiac regenerated pre-rotted body parts? What I’m asking (thanks to a random visual I had prompted by the artwork) is if Sullivan were drawn and quartered, and decapitated, would he ‘regrow’ looking somewhat more intact?

Obviously WLB’s bullet hole remained present throughout his camera time, but providing my assumption above regarding regeneration is incorrect, I’m not sure my brain could process a bouncing headless torso with military dog-tags leading an army of zombies and saving the remaining humans.

My preemptive apologies if this was touched on in some buried nimbus of comments, but telepathically controlled zombies wiping out humanity with vampires protecting humans and planes crashing/bazookas/etc. tends to get ones imagination in places it normally isn’t!

    Man I love this comic.

  105. Bobby Crosby Says:

“As someone else said, an uzi can empty a magazine in under three seconds or your money back.”

Which makes it the perfect choice for the front lines at this moment. Want to absolutely destroy the oncoming zombies when they’re closest to the humans. They don’t have 3,000 uzis. Sullivan chose to put the uzis on the front line. They have tons of different weapons, one of which is mentioned in the first panel of Page 109.

“does that include the ones whose throats were ripped out?”

    Obviously not.

Ayashi: It’s been answered.  Injuries sustained during the torture can’t be healed, while injuries sustained after the torture can be healed by choice.  Francis chose to keep the bullet hole to the head.

  106. MK Says:

Michael Moore’s gonna love this one….

  107. Brian Says:

That’s it. I’m fucking addicted. I have been for awhile, and I just realized it.

  108. Cheeser Says:

    XFD. Grady, m’boy, you’re a wonderful man.

  109. Sim^moN Says:

Only 4 more pages to go…

  110. Source Says:

OMFG, this is the best page yet!

  111. Alex B Says:

Bobby question, you said Sullivan army was human only a week ago, or there abouts. And also he had to run to this location, could you please tell us where about they were created? Just wondering.

Of course it will make a great story about how his army came about :)

  112. Bobby Crosby Says:

No clue, haven’t even thought about it. Million fine options. Sequels will show.

  113. Nara Says:

are there enough bullets in the world??

  114. Brellchild Says:

And even when the zombies run out of ammo there are still options. If Sullivan is close enough he can lend whatever skills he had while alive to his zombie minions.

    What does that mean?

    KUNG FU ZOMBIES!!!

    ***

Yeah, I know. Sullivan probably has other plans in mind, but the image popped into my head today and now I can’t get rid of it.

Can’t wait to see this on the big screen.

  115. Zac Says:

sully rules, no wonder he out-did WLB at everything.

  116. Cyclops Says:

I wonder why so many people here overlook the fact that zombies consist of dead flesh. And dead flesh rots.

If the epidemy started 8 years ago, then the first zombies (not the TFZ’s, but the first humans turned into zombies) should be rotten away by now.

Therefore it is imagineable that there only a few million zombies left, not a few billion.

  117. Bobby Crosby Says:

Probably because I’ve said a million times that they won’t rot away for years and possibly for forever (probably for forever). They were all turned by someone who was once a vampire, you know, someone who is also “dead flesh” but never rots. That’s one of the only vampire type aspects that were passed along to the regular zombies.

  118. Fink6 Says:

Haha… I may be awful for this, but after reading DocN’s first post, all I could think of is how funny/sad it would be if the world is in a nuclear war and being overrun by zombies… and you’re sitting in a hospital where you die of like, aids or something.

    Thats just really bad

  119. Mr Black Cat Says:

Wow. Hey, why couldn’t we ever have a video game of zombies versus zombies? Just a random thought. Anyways, zomibie-ism is the new aids, so…yeah.

  120. Northstar Says:

Oh that was beautiful! XD Bravo! Great opportunity to go back to the beginning and read the whole thing too! (note: a lot of times if you’re confused about plot details that’s a great way to get answers too)

  121. Luke Says:

I love this comic so much it. Please never stop.

  122. Matt Says:

    Zombies with machine guns: awesome.
    Grady’s one-liners: priceless.
    For everything else, there’s mastercard

  123. Red Griffin Says:

“Sullivan chose to put the uzis on the front line”
Mmhh… So how did Sully know about the uzi’s properties?
I mean, there weren’t any uzis in WWII.
BTW, I’ve been pondering about this for a while now, can TFZs tap into the knowledge of the zombies they created or did they just go to a libary and read about what they missed the last 65 years? you know, WLB knew how to operate fighter jets, sully has knowledge about modern firearms and stuff like that.
Anyway, great work you’re doing with this comic, keep up with it!
PS.: I apologize for any flawed grammar, since I am not a native speaker
    PPS: Again: awesome comic!

  124. Grym Says:

You guys should definitely make ‘Vote Grady 08′ buttons… That would be awsome.

  125. Tegu Says:

I believe you should make a new shirt. WLB’s face on the front, with this on the back.

And can how else would love to see a bunch of zombies reading in a library? I know that’s not how he did it, but it’s priceless.

  126. Cheeser Says:

“Mmhh… So how did Sully know about the uzi’s properties?
I mean, there weren’t any uzis in WWII.”

    http://www.lastblood.net/main/2007/11/20/page-101-how-he-did-it/

Maybe there weren’t any uzis in WWII, but if he turned people who knew how uzis worked, he could have them give a demonstration to him and, as such, know.

  127. warspite Says:

It’s just as with the Posleen books… if you are dealing with a foe that just comes and comes at you and does not break… then you need lots of rounds. Miniguns, Vickers Watercooled HMG, Metalstorm… it’s in fact all been discussed every other day at /k/…

  128. Bobby Crosby Says:

“So how did Sully know about the uzi’s properties?”

That’s like asking how someone in their second week of work as a fifth grade teacher knows the name of every student in their class. First day you don’t know — second week you know all. Same with Sullivan and various weapons obviously. The Earth has been his playground basically since he surfaced and he could go find whatever weapons he wanted and test ‘em out and see how they work and so on and so forth. Incredibly easy.

“WLB knew how to operate fighter jets”

    No, he didn’t. Re-read Page 101.

  129. Rez Says:

Typical , when an american flag will cover the screen and we could masturbate together glorifying our leaders? xD

  130. Alex B Says:

Your leaders are not my leaders or the leaders of most of the world ¬_¬ But that’s another story :P

  131. Summer Says:

Good spot of humor in the last panel. :)

  132. Jon Pander Says:

    Alex B Says:

“Your leaders are not my leaders or the leaders of most of the world ¬_¬ But that’s another story ”

Actually, Mac (and Murdo and April?) are the closest things I’ve seen to leaders of the remaining humans :) And there are no other groups of humans left in the world. The only humans left are americans. If Mac is an american, then our leaders -are- your leaders and leaders of most of the world. Either that, or you’re already dead and a zombie, which means your leader (Francis) is dead. And Francis was an American too. Or your leader is Sullivan. Who is also an american.

So either your leader is Mac, or Murdo, or April, or Sullivan, or Francis. In any case, your leader is an American. Even if you are dead.

    So there.

Erm…. unless you’re a vampire. Then your leader is… was… Addison Payne. So your leader is either an american, or a dead vampire.

  133. Jon Pander Says:

PS, there were machine guns back during world war 2.
Heck, there were Tommy guns back during the 20s.

And the uzi was invented in 1948. Not that much later than 1945 (end of WW2). I’m not sure when Sullivan and Francis each started their 65 year starvation (whether it was during world war 2 or afterwards). I’m sure it’s been posted on the comments in the past though, and I’m assuming it was probably around 1942 (since 2007 – 65 = 1942).

If Sullivan and Francis started their starvation before 1948:
Sullivan could easily know about the predecessors to the uzi (like the Browning M2 or the Beretta Model 1918) and would be able to quickly figure out the uzi’s function and strengths and weaknesses.

  134. Red Griffin Says:

I see, so he just collected some guns, maybe from an army base, tested them and decided how and where to use them?
and I know that there were automatic firearms in WWII, but the M2 (full-Auto belt-fed heavy machine gun!) and the Beretta 1918 (did you mean the Browning 1918?) weren’t much like the uzi (exept the full-auto capability), the Thompson is the closest to the uzi what they had back then, even the rate of fire is similar. so I guess sullivan just figured out and, of course you’re right Bobby, WLB didn’t fly by himself, sry.
I didn’t mention it earlier, but panel 3 and 4 are just awesome and grady is as entertaining as always
    Grady for President!

  135. Anko Says:

“Erm…. unless you’re a vampire. Then your leader is… was… Addison Payne. So your leader is either an american, or a dead vampire.”

Addison wasn’t technically the “leader” of the vampires.
And what if you’re th 12th century schaemiac from Bulgaria?

  136. Endless Says:

Wasn’t one of the early comics called Grady for President?

Only one problem with this comic, considering that the ratio of good zombies to evil is about 1:350,000 and assuming that sully hasn’t been smelting his own bullets, wouldn’t it be smart to use semiatuomatic weapons and choose your shots carefully? It seems that a lot of bullets are arcing over the zombie’s heads or into their chests. I guess overhead shots could possibly kill a zombie when they arc downward, but it seems that lots of ammo would be wasted on torso shots and complete misses.

  137. Szyronn Says:

    “Anko Says:
    December 3rd, 2007 at 4:43 pm

Grady has an evil sense of humor.”
    indeed, it crackt me up:d:d

  138. paul Says:

^ I think the idea now is to just do as much damage as possible in a short time to get the humans out alive. Once they can get them somewhere safe, with nobody telling the evil zombies what to do, it probably won’t be as much of an emergency.

  139. Jon Pander Says:

    Anko:
Well, it seems like every other vampires looked to him for all the answers. De Facto leader :)

And I’m sure this was answered in the comments which is why you’d know about it but I wouldn’t (since I’ve only read a tiny portion of the comments and you’re the #1 Last Blood fan of all time – heck you’ve probably memorized every comment from day 1), but didn’t Devian say in an earlier comic that the schaemiac from the 12th century had been defeated?

Not that it matters – my post was pretty much a joke anyway in response to Alex B saying how his leaders weren’t american :)

  140. Jesse Says:

Red Griffin: your language is better than most internet message board posters; no need to apologize.
“Actually, Mac (and Murdo and April?) are the closest things I’ve seen to leaders of the remaining humans And there are no other groups of humans left in the world. AMEN!

  141. FireSight Says:

Just for those of you who are arguing about population.

    Mexico population – 108 million
    Canada population – 33 million
    USA population – 301 million

Note that these are the official numbers, an estimated 20-30 million more illegals exist inside the USA. And these numbers all come off of the CIA’s website, as updated in July 2007.

South America has a total population of 371 million.

  142. Red Griffin Says:

Jesse: Thanks a lot, I always got good marks in English, but I am still lacking the hell a lot of practical experience.
About that leader question: Since Addison is dead, I suppose Math can be seen as a (temporary) leader of sorts. But that might change, now that sullivan has arrived. But who (exept for bobby) knows what Addison meant with that Sofia & Second Empire stuff.

  143. David Kastrup Says:

“Do tfz’s suffer after the 65 years?”

It has been answered already authoritively. So I’ll add my own non-authoritive this-might-be-how-to-explain to it: the pain locks into place. Like a hot chili addiction, it no longer saturates the mind, in spite of being full strength. I would imagine that a schaemiac would have lost the ability to register any bodily pain. But then it may be that an essential part of the zombification is the loss of registering pain. Which explains that zombies might not be all too lucky with keeping all of their body parts intact.

  144. Anko Says:

“Well, it seems like every other vampires looked to him for all the answers. De Facto leader :)

I guess they did after the outbreak. I guess I wasn’t clear enough in my post, that’s been happening a lot lately. AFP wasn’t really the leader of the vampires in peaceful times, but yeah, I guess he took charge after the zombies showed up. I probably didn’t read the comment that I responded to closely enough, ugh. Sorry.

“I’ve only read a tiny portion of the comments and you’re the #1 Last Blood fan of all time – heck you’ve probably memorized every comment from day 1″

Hey, I only started reading the comic after page 76 came up. I’m nowhere near memorizing all the comments, heh. It would be pretty amazing if I memorized all the page names and numbers, though.

“And I’m sure this was answered in the comments which is why you’d know about it but I wouldn’t, but didn’t Devian say in an earlier comic that the schaemiac from the 12th century had been defeated?”

Actually, now I look back, there never was a firm answer from Bobby. If you check his comments on page 102, none of them say anything definite about the subject. And yes, Devian did say that.

“But who (exept for bobby) knows what Addison meant with that Sofia & Second Empire stuff.”

I know a bit about the subject but I presume I’m not allowed to share. I guess I better keep my mouth shut and pay more attention to what I write in my comments in the future.

“I would imagine that a schaemiac would have lost the ability to register any bodily pain.”

I’m sure that part of your post is valid, at least. Schaemiacs can’t feel any pain.

  145. Rez Says:

    Alex B Says:
Your leaders are not my leaders or the leaders of most of the world ¬_¬ But that’s another story

Nor mine (Im Spanish) but that last Grady’s line just remember me this will be an US movie (you know…clichés :P ). Just pretending to be ironic.

    Nice comic anyways

  146. NiamhBlack Says:

Well, considering they are in America, it makes sense, whether or not it is an American-made movie. Grady is also former military, so he would generally show more patriotism than your average citizen.

Don’t all countries think that there own country or people are the best? I would imagine it would be pretty shitty if you woke up and had no feelings at all towards your people or your country. Apathy isn’t always the answer for things.

  147. M.R.A.K. Says:

“Don’t all countries think that there own country or people are the best? I would imagine it would be pretty shitty if you woke up and had no feelings at all towards your people or your country. Apathy isn’t always the answer for things.”

True. Apathy can never lead to anything good.

It is normal, of course – every nation has its expression of patriotism, in one way or another.

And, before I forget, GREAT page :) I love the panel with Sully’s Saviors (SS) mowing down Francis’s Freaks (FF).

I am convinced the SS will win.

  148. Lazarus Says:

Would the ‘wild’ Zombies have enough self preservation left to duck if the controlled zombies marched through there ranks holding a sharp wire taut at neck height.

  149. NiamhBlack Says:

Nope, they wouldn’t. The zombies not under Sully’s control (the vast majority) only have one goal, and that is to eat the humans. To duck an oncoming bullet, which is virtually impossible for a normal human to do would be impossible for a zombie. To duck an oncoming object would take a recognition of that object and then the brain power to react to that object. This would be too much for the zombie to do.

  150. Kanian Says:

    Man Grady is awesome.

And I hope to see a Zed weilding a P90 in next couple of pages.

  151. Summer Says:

    For the Uzi argument…

I have fired several of them. It does not take a lot of brain power to figure out what ammo it takes, how to fill a magazine, load the magazine, take it off of safety, and fire. They also take quite a bit of abuse and keep kicking, are pretty lightweight, accurate, and 9mm, 45 cal, and 22lr rounds are extremely common.

One thing to keep in mind, one does not have to only raid the military for firearms. There are millions (including ~1 million class 3) firearms in the hands of citizens across the U.S.

  152. jason G Says:

hey is it just me or are these “good” zombies looking pretty grim/angry are they just reflecting sulivans emotions? or mabey a bit of the person they used to be is still in there and is ready for some pay back?

  153. Jon Pander Says:

Anko: “Hey, I only started reading the comic after page 76 came up. I’m nowhere near memorizing all the comments, heh. It would be pretty amazing if I memorized all the page names and numbers, though.”

Often seems like you’ve pretty close to done so :)

“Actually, now I look back, there never was a firm answer from Bobby. If you check his comments on page 102, none of them say anything definite about the subject. And yes, Devian did say that.”

I just checked also, yeah… doesn’t seem like anything definite has been said about what happened to the 12th century schaemiac. I’m betting it would probably will be answered in a sequel or prequel.
But I just am making an educated guess that if the 12th century schaemiac had been ‘defeated’, he/she was probably killed. Too dangerous to let live … er… unlive… er… you know what I mean.

Hehe, a question to ask Mr Crosby that he hasnt heard before on the voluminous comments that have been written.

Btw, to both Bobby Crosby and Owen, I can’t wait until this becomes a movie – I really hope it does soon. I’m not on the fan forum that Jonathan made, but I’m willing to bet there’s at least one thread about a ‘who will play who’ “dream cast”

I’d say Vin Diesel and Michael Rosenbaum (not sure which for which, though with his glasses, he looks a whole lot like Riddick) for Addison Payne and Mac, like several people have alluded to on this page’s comments, Ah-nold for Sullivan, and Jim Byrnes (Joe Dawson from Highlander) for Grady if I had my picks :)

  154. Zepher Says:

Vin Diesel? He has the badassness, but not the smarts, same problem with the rock

  155. Krasno Says:

I’d love to see Billy Connolly play Grady :D
And for the people complaining about the guns, didn’t Bobby say that a Schaemiac can access all the knowledge of the zombies he/she converts? That would mean that he knows everything these 3000 former humans knew, including weapons and how to use them. (And it’s not that hard, aim and fire!)

  156. ChaosAptom Says:

Grady has legs, so I wouldn’t pick Jim Byrnes (I know pretty cynical)

I see Mark Wahlberg in the movie, don’t know which character(Sully, TFZ, Mac).

  157. Peanut Gallery Says:

“Don’t all countries think that there own country or people are the best? I would imagine it would be pretty shitty if you woke up and had no feelings at all towards your people or your country. Apathy isn’t always the answer for things.”

I had to reply to this… If everyone loved their own county and people the best…. Why do they all end up in America anyway? I’ll tell you why…. It’s easier to find Last Blood in English than any other language!

And that’s only one reason. :-p

  158. Nader Says:

Krasno: I’d love to see Billy Connolly play Grady.

Seconded. That would be absolutely amazing! XD

*starts imagining Grady with a thick Scottish accent and a penchant for jokes about the anus*

And you know, saying that, last year Billy did a movie where HE was a zombie! A pet zombie named Fido, even O.o (the movie is actually called Fido too).

If you cast Billy Connolly as Grady then that would be the movie sold XD

  159. Sharon Says:

=D i just love this comic! except the fact my friggen baby brother is tugging my pants -.-’ But one time, i clicked this comic on topwebcomics, but the first page scared the crap outta me till yesturday i finally got the guts to see it ^_^ *goodjob!* but one question, why is Sullvin or however you spell it,nice? i mean and his army thingggeee?

  160. sco3tt Says:

I had a thought today. Hey, it happens.

How about offering us faithful followers of Last Blood a part in the movie?

  161. Rez Says:

“Don’t all countries think that there own country or people are the best? I would imagine it would be pretty shitty if you woke up and had no feelings at all towards your people or your country. Apathy isn’t always the answer for things.”
No, trust me. I like my country and not all the people, but see TONS of things that hate of it …life is pretty good here (in Spain) , but much things doesnt work well.
If everybody like so much his country maybe nobody emigrate.

Maybe i didnt expressed well, i wont like this finishing like Independence Day (why the fuck i had to have that bullshit in my country’s cinemas?? xD) if you know what i mean. Dont take too much srsly my previous comments

“I had to reply to this… If everyone loved their own county and people the best…. Why do they all end up in America anyway?”

    Sigh…

  162. CrazyJaylbird Says:

    Holy fuckin’ AWESOME!!

  163. NiamhBlack Says:

Those people that don’t like their country, or the problems within their country leave. We have people who do this on a local level. They dislike the place they live, so they leave. I’m just saying if you do like your country, you definitely believe your country is the worlds greatest.

There are problems in every country. There are most definately problems in America. I should have been more clear, for those people who do love their country they believe their country to be the best in the world.

  164. Jesse Says:

I had this image in my mind of the first time we see Sullivan in the movie–the same way we see him here, catching the girl–he’s looking not too happy, just like Bobby’s sketch indicates. And when he tells everyone to get down, he locks his jaw and we see the front lines of his literally ragtag (ragflesh, ragbone, ragmeat) army doing the same. Then the guns are raised, with Sully raising his (maybe just a few centimeters) before the zombies on either side of him do the same, radiating outward like the wave at a baseball game.
I’d imagine that with a “smaller” force like Sully’s, maybe the zombies reflect their master much more closely provided he doesn’t specifically command something else. Exasperated Sully could get restless zombies; grim Sully gets tooth-gritting zombies; the possibilities are endless and really more creepy than I’d like to think about anymore.

  165. Razmoudah Says:

The strip is awesome, but what’s with this “Liking purple makes you gay” comment? I suggest you take a few reality courses, because there are a lot of us who like purple and are very definitively heterosexual.

  166. Engineer Says:

    Endless Says:
“Only one problem with this comic, considering that the ratio of good zombies to evil is about 1:350,000 and assuming that sully hasn’t been smelting his own bullets, wouldn’t it be smart to use semiatuomatic weapons and choose your shots carefully? It seems that a lot of bullets are arcing over the zombie’s heads or into their chests. I guess overhead shots could possibly kill a zombie when they arc downward, but it seems that lots of ammo would be wasted on torso shots and complete misses.”

Well, it is enough of a feat to get the zombies to point the barrel the right way and pull the trigger, much less take careful aim. It is also slower that way, and the bad zombies are moving fast, no time to wait. Yes, individual shots would save massive amounts of ammo, but Sullivan’s zombies are using them for the same reason the military started developing and using automatic weapons.

It takes years of training and practice to become a one shot one kill marksman. Especially with moving targets the size of a cantaloupe, and in the dark/moonlight. Now, you can give almost anyone an automatic weapon, and show them where to point the barrel and how to load and fire it. The shear volume of lead thrown down range will be deadly, even to head shot only zombies. An arm gone is one less arm that can grab you. A leg gone would make for a crawling zombie, making it slower. (I personally would love to see a zombie hopping around on one leg in the movie, but zombies just don’t have that kind of brain power or balance.)

So in this case automatics are the way to go. Sullivan could have a few 18 wheelers loaded with ammo behind the masses, ready to go. And if you don’t think there are a million rounds of all types of ammo just laying around (especially in America, as our new NRA spokesperson Grady has pointed out) then you don’t know the number of law abiding (and criminal) gun owners all across this land. I myself keep about 10,000 rounds handy. When WLB comes knocking, I’m going to knock back. I want to make him work for my bag of bones.

Nah, I’m kidding about the ammo being for WLB. it’s just cheaper to buy in bulk. I target practice. A LOT.

  167. Rith26 Says:

I’ve got a better idea… what if everyone woke up one and realize that all people are the same, and no country is better than another?

Sorry, that was sappy as hell (although true), anyway to do something other than buy into another useless forum discussion, great page, Bobby & Owen. Good, solid writing, great art.

  168. Cdraz Says:

I’ve decided that bobby and Owen are on the west coast because its 7 on the east coast right now

  169. JT Cool Says:

Holy Thor On A Mountain this is awesome!!!

Since the wild zombies aren’t controlled by WLB and are only craving blood I’m assuming this is basically gonna be one massive slaughter by Sully’s crew right?

Why try and bite something that has no good blood? It’s like trying to suck water out of a rock.

I’m wondering how zombies would see other zombies though. I know they smell blood and everything so will they not be able to see or have aggression toward the brave 3,000?

  170. Coleslaw Says:

The uncontrolled zombies would simply try to bypass Sullivan’s zombies and go after the humans, while Sullivan’s zombies would clash and try to kill them under Sullivan’s control. At least that’s what I believe.

  171. Bobbbo Says:

the Terminator is the TFZ?!?! This Comic just turned into a second rate Swartzanegger Film! (just kidding! Looks cool!)

And you know what, that also why I love America!

  172. Jon Pander Says:

If Sullivan was played by Swartzenegger, before he and his zombies charged against the uncontrolled zombies, he’d have to do something like look at Math and say ‘Ah’ll be bahck’

  173. Jon Pander Says:

Of course, I’m pretty sure that Sullivan is not Austrian… so probably a hard sell :)

John Cena maybe? He did good in “The Marine” :)

  174. Bobby Crosby Says:

“Maybe i didnt expressed well, i wont like this finishing like Independence Day (why the fuck i had to have that bullshit in my country’s cinemas?? xD)”

I love “Independence Day.” Great movie.

“The strip is awesome, but what’s with this ‘Liking purple makes you gay’ comment? I suggest you take a few reality courses, because there are a lot of us who like purple and are very definitively heterosexual.”

I sure hope you’re joking like I obviously was to anyone with a brain. Do you also think that I actually think April was wearing a “sexy jumpsuit” in the sketch? And if you think this comic is awesome, are you forgetting that Murdo has acted the least gay of any character in the whole book and that he’s the only person to have sex with a girl in the comic? Purple is well known as being associated with gayness — mostly by complete morons, I’m sure, but it has been popularized to some degree –

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/276677.stm

“Defeated” does not mean killed, as you’ll see in the sequel.

Schaemiacs cannot directly access the thoughts/memories of their zombies by telepathy, but they can simply order them to answer their questions verbally. “Do you know how to fire this weapon?” “Do you know where I could find the best weapons?” “With your modern knowledge that I do not possess, tell me, in your opinion, what should I do to accomplish my mission?” And so on and so forth. It takes a lot of concentration to have such conversations and he can probably do nothing else while doing that in terms of controlling other zombies, or very little at least. But in time he’d learn to get better at it. (And the 12th century schaemiac has had a LOT of time to learn a LOT of things.)

  175. Anko Says:

“I myself keep about 10,000 rounds handy.”

Holy shit, Engineer. All I have is a sword.

“I’ve decided that bobby and Owen are on the west coast because its 7 on the east coast right now”

Bobby lives on the West coast, Owen’s from Canada.

“With your modern knowledge that I do not possess, tell me, in your opinion, what should I do to accomplish my mission?”

I can just imagine Francis asking Marissa that on the beach in front of everyone, LOL.

  176. Tegu Says:

I know that TFZ can’t make vampires anymore, and doesn’t need to drink blood anymore, but can he still drink blood? He has the fangs still, so I’m wondering why not.

  177. Jon Pander Says:

Okay well Mr Crosby has now answered the burning question I had of whether the 12th century schaemiac still lives. Thanks. Now I’m going to be dying (figuratively) to read the sequel to find out the details. Who am I kidding, I’d be dying to read the sequels even if you didn’t tell me that.

Now for people to ask him the same question another 9999 times to keep in line with questions about cloning, repopulation, etc. :)

BTW, I’m looking at Owen’s drawing of Mac on the ground with the boy, and it -totally- looks like Michael Rosenbaum (Lex Luthor from Smallville) far as I’m concerned :) .

PS…. I think Val could have turned even Jm J Bullock and Richard Simmons heterosexual.

  178. stock Says:

I have a suggestion, the comments section of the comic gets to be really long, I’m on a connection that’s not the best and I’d appreciate it if most of the comments were hidden when the page loaded so I didn’t have to wait for the whole page to load with the comments when going back through older comics.

  179. Austin W Says:

only thing cooler than 3000 zombies firing uzis? 3000 zombies firing ak 74′s.

  180. Bobby Crosby Says:

Stock: Sorry, don’t think there’s anything we can do about that. We’re horrible at HTML stuff anyway.  But hey, when you go to the following address, it only shows the latest page, no comments –

    http://www.lastblood.net/main

Not sure if there’s a way to do that for previous pages, though.

  181. Anko Says:

@Stock – you could just browse the page images themselves, from here:

    http://www.lastblood.net/comicfolder/

  182. Tegu Says:

austin, don’t you mean ak 47′s?

  183. Krasno Says:

“Schaemiacs cannot directly access the thoughts/memories of their zombies by telepathy, but they can simply order them to answer their questions verbally.”

LOL, WLB doing a ventriloquist show XD
He could sit a midget zombie in his lap and make him say bad jokes.

  184. Josh Says:

I am truly enjoying this comic but I am a bit concerned at the moment.

It seems at this point the vampires don’t seem all that thirsty, it also seems as if there are now less humans then vampires even. Not a good thing.

  185. D.B. Says:

i dont know why people are worrying about a lack of ammo. All Sully needs to do is kill the immediate millions of zombies, then systematically fly around the world nuking it clean! surely one of his 3000 is a pilot.

  186. Engineer Says:

    Anko Says:
” “I myself keep about 10,000 rounds handy.”

Holy shit, Engineer. All I have is a sword.”

Well, it was 500 rounds on sale there, 1000 rounds reloaded there, 250 rounds given to me… those little buggers add up quick!

And there are circumstances where a sword would be much preferred over a rifle or handgun, such as when you want to be silent. You could be just as deadly with that sword as I am with my guns. I just can reach out a little farther that’s all.

  187. Cdraz Says:

wait if bobby lives on the west coast and owen lives in canada how do u do it do u guys just send each other the pictures and put in script in or send the script and put eh pictures in? i dont no it seems realy interesting id like to no how u do it.

P.S. if you guys both live in deferent places where did u guys meet?

  188. Shadowsbane Says:

“austin, don’t you mean ak 47’s?”

Well he could mean either. The former Soviet Union made a new AK type rifle in 1974 to make use of what was perceived to be the better ballistic properties of a 5.45x39mm round. Notably the ability for the bullet to fragment upon impact. That rifle was called the AK74.
The standard AK47 round (7.62x39mm) is larger, able to penetrate barriers better but is also heavier and does not fragment.

Either could be quite usefull in a zombie outbreak. as one is a bit more accurate (tighter tolerences AK74) while the other has the greater potential of traversing several zombie skulls with a single round.

Oh and our standard M16/M4 rifle is chambered in 5.56x45mm to produce the same affects the Russians were trying to accomplish.

  189. Jesse Says:

Gosh…a TFZ can have a conversation with a zombie. This raises a horrible thought:
Zombies in this comic I had assumed to retain stuff like muscle memory and procedures–those things I’ve heard are stored in a part of the brain different from normal memory.
But in order to cognitively put sentences together, about minute things they actually do remember from life, that means there’s everything that was once that person still inside there, except the emotions and the free will. It’s just way more chilling than I had really thought of before.
    That’s still almost a person.

  190. Bobby Crosby Says:

Cdraz: There’s this thing called the internet. Also, listen to this –

    http://www.sliceofscifi.com/2007/08/19/slice-of-scifi-122/

    ——————-
Interview: This week, the entire Slice of SciFi gang talk with Bobby Crosby, the creator of the popular graphic novel “Last Blood.” Joining the conversation is the novel’s illustrator, Owen Gieni. Both reveal a hot scoop about how they collaborate for “Last Blood.”

  191. Shadowsbane Says:

sorry for the double post, accidently hit the button.

Just wanted to say for those who enjoy target shooting 10k rounds is not all that much. My wife and I have blown 1500 in just a few hours shooting a revolver at paper targets.

Never really cared too much for Grady until right now.

I really love the writing, can’t wait for the sequels.

  192. Anko Says:

“if you guys both live in deferent places where did u guys meet?”

Owen and Bobby’s brother Chris did (and still do) comic projects together, that’s how Bobby found out about Owen

  194. Speakerftdead Says:

I LOVE Smbc. It’s really the only thing I fanboi.

  195. Ikamabob Says:

Heh… “One Night in Bangkok,” not what I expected to hear after “Key to Gramercy Park.”

Anywho… Just wanted to say/ask a few things, and yes, this is mah first time posting, so howdy all.

1: Bobby, I love the story, excellent job writing it. I’d love to write a screenplay someday, and I hope it will be as good as I expect this movie to be.

2: Owen, you are doing an awesome job with the artwork. I can’t draw for crap, but I shore can recognize talent when I see it. I like how your style has gradually changed and become more refined as the story progressed. It can’t be easy drawing multiple comics with slightly different art styles, about what, three days a week each?

3: I apologize if someone’s asked this, or it’s been said already. When there are more than one First Zombies, who each control their own minions, are they able to tell which ones are theirs and which aren’t? I mean, could Sully sense one of Franky’s zombies, and know it’s not his?

4: Bah… I had another one that was gonna go here, but I forgot it… Lousy hoo-man body.

5: LasHeh… “One Night in Bangkok,” not what I expected to hear after “Key to Gramercy Park.”

5: Lastly, cheesecake > you. *Takes a bite of cheesecake.*

  196. Ikamabob Says:

Ooops… Stupid computer, that messed my post up, sorry about that… And about posting twice so close to each other, just wanted to say the messed up post was unintentional, and hopefully still legible…ish.

  197. Crocen Says:

LMFAO!! nice catch NotStephen i would have never remembered that its quite hilarious especially in thsi context XD

  198. Arkus Says:

Whoa, I had figured you guys would have talked at least once. Owen, think you might be attending Comic con?

  199. Owen Says:

I’d love to attend a comicon of some sort. I’ll try. In other news, I just sent Bobby the latest page, should be up soon. 3 more to go!!

  200. Amy Says:

Hey, Owen. Awesome work on the comic. You’ve improved so much and your detail work is incredible. I can’t do all back and white drawings. They turn out badly.

  201. Ryah Says:

Oh man, that was so awesome. Seriously. This comic gets more and more bad-ass every time I read it! Grady’s sense of humor, Owen’s art, the sheer bad-assery of zombies with guns helping vampires…

  202. IGOR Says:

    :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)
