End of Volume One
Friday, December 21st, 2007Decided to put this page up so we don’t spoil the ending for people who are going directly to the latest page from links as opposed to reading through the archives.
The second graphic novel will begin WITHIN 10 DAYS FOR SURE, POSSIBLY ON CHRISTMAS DAY. And I’m finally going to start showing screenplay pages by Christmas Day at the very latest! I’ll continue to update with script excerpts after the second GN starts, on days when a new comic page doesn’t go up.
Thank you for your patience as you wait for the sequel to start, which will be VERY SOON!

This nearly brought tears to my eyes. If it does arrive on Christmas, this will be the best present ever.
December 21st, 2007 at 5:57 pm
Really? By Christmas? That would be a-freaking-mazing!
December 21st, 2007 at 6:00 pm
I sure hope it arrives on christmas.

Wow… I’m number 3. But I have nothing to comment on
Can’t wait to see the sequel, though I’ve also been enjoying the updates to Marry Me in the meantime.
December 21st, 2007 at 6:42 pm
I haven’t even started shopping yet so don’t get your hopes up too high, but if it isn’t on Christmas it’ll be very shortly after. Also, if a new page doesn’t show on the 25th I’ll at least have a sneak peek for you. Vol.2 is gonna stomp vol.1 if things go according to plan.
December 21st, 2007 at 6:48 pm
Never commented before, but I must admit, I’ve never quite looked forward to A christmas present as much as I look forward this one. Congratulations on a brilliantly done comic, and heres hoping for several more.
December 21st, 2007 at 6:52 pm
Yeah, just to clarify, a SCREENPLAY page is guaranteed by Christmas, but a comic page (Page 1 of the second GN) is simply 99.9% sure by New Year’s Day. I haven’t even written it yet, but I’ve got the first scene all planned out and most of the dialogue written. Gonna get Page 1 to Owen within 24 hours probably, so there’s a chance it will be up by Christmas, but not guaranteed.
December 21st, 2007 at 6:57 pm
I’ve never commented before now, but I just wanted to say that this was the best graphic novel I’ve ever read! Rock on.
December 21st, 2007 at 7:18 pm
This was quite simply the best webcomic I have ever read. Definitely one of the best works of fiction I have had the pleasure of getting lost in. I will be waiting on pins and needles for GN#2 to start. Merry Christmas and happy New Year to all. And to Bobby and Owen thank you for the great ride this year. Thanks Directly to the two of your efforts this year has not sucked entirely.

My school’s comic book class found your comic during a vampire/zombie war debate between several of us and the teacher. I have become a loyal (and avid) reader of your comic. Please post more!

I’ve been a silent observer for some time now and I have to tell you; you two do amazing work. The planning and suspense of this graphic novel is easily with leagues of The Watchmen, The Dark Knight Chronicles and other classics. Please keep us up to date on the movie as well. As a cinematographer I would be more than honored to view any film your mind has leaked.

December 22nd, 2007 at 5:56 am
Great work with volume one guys. I cant wait to see what you cook up for volume two. I hope some vampires stick around. For one thing I’m not sure if rage would like being human :P.
December 22nd, 2007 at 6:01 am
I guess it will be too optimistic to expect the second Last Blood to materialize under the Chsristmas tree
Best holiday wishes for Bobby and Owen, and best of luck with the new GN!
December 22nd, 2007 at 7:01 am

I never thought that NOT seeing Math’s face would make me happy, but after two weeks of clicking the link and seeing pg. 112, i got all excited to see a new page.
Even if it DID only say ‘End of Book One’. It makes me hopeful.
xmas day? Again, will be best present. Possibly ONLY present. *makes puppy dog eyes* Pwease?

‘whats in the “vodka†bottles..’
It’s turn-back-into-human-juice. Of course, correct me if I’m wrong.
December 22nd, 2007 at 5:27 pm
This was truely an amazing graphic novel — as a fellow horror comic book writer myself I wish I came up with this idea…this comic kicks ass

December 22nd, 2007 at 9:14 pm
First time commenter here.
I really enjoyed Last Blood, and am looking forward to seeing where you take it from here. I’ve made sure to download the books from Wowio, and I’ll be waiting patiently to read the next GN. The ideas may not be utterly original (but, hey, no ideas truly are), but they’re very well-addressed in this story, with a few nice changeups (e.g. I loved Murdo’s decision to just kill MM and not worry about the possible consequences of not doing so).
Finally, while I tend to prefer more illustrator-/manga-style comic artists, Owen is very skilled, and his work made this GN come alive. I can’t imagine it being as good, much less better, if done by anyone else.
December 23rd, 2007 at 2:49 am
Take your time guys, no rush… I know the wait will be worth it! =D
So - Merry X-mas to both of you!
December 23rd, 2007 at 3:58 am
Hey, is there is a hand-drawn MS Paint sketch for this page?
(just a Christmas joke)

Fans in New York have comics lessons? Anko should teach those!
For the first time in ages I’m gonna look forward for X-mas! =D
December 24th, 2007 at 1:49 am
I’ve read this entire comic from about half way through, and this is my first time commenting…
By god, one of the best stories/comics/works of fiction i’ve read in a damned long time. The art is amazing, I wish I was half as good, and the writing is something else.
Can’t wait for Christmas
thanks for making such a great webcomic!
December 24th, 2007 at 3:40 am
I can’t wait no longer
December 24th, 2007 at 9:30 am
“Fans in New York have comics lessons? Anko should teach those!”
What? Did I miss out on something?
December 24th, 2007 at 11:12 am
Happy freaking x-mas to all of ya.
December 24th, 2007 at 2:45 pm
Happy Holidays, whatever your particularly poison may be for this season! I have been looking forward to the screenplay pages, with the rest of the group, in anticipation. I’ve also been sick, so haven’t been commenting, since between reading webcomics and the (few) days I’ve gone to work, I’ve mostly been sleeping. I’m looking forward to the sequel/prequel/whatever-quel - the new comic
and I’m sure it will be terrific!
And Nik … MANGA?? *sigh* Well, everyone is entitled to their opinions - let me give you mine it’s better than yours …
But seriously, I like the work on this comic, since it is more realistic. EVERYBODY is going toward the “manga” style lately, and I find it rather irritating. It’s so … derivative. People should find their own style, you know? Anyway, as I said, that’s just my opinion, but obviously it’s better than yours … *again, I’m just joking here - it’s my little joke, which I like, because it’s mine*
December 24th, 2007 at 3:42 pm
YAY! YAY! YAY YAY YAY!
I can’t wait for the sequel…
December 24th, 2007 at 7:58 pm
Yay! Christmas is tomorrow!
I’m gonna be here bright and early!
December 24th, 2007 at 9:03 pm
Its 12:02 AM on December 25! Where’s my comic? Hmm? I demand Last Blood!
Just kidding. I can be patient. Merry Christmas, Bobby, owen, and all!
December 24th, 2007 at 10:01 pm
Merry Christmas everyone. It’s 6:00 am here in England and cold as hell :). Have a good one boys and girls.

It’ll be Boxing Day in 30 minutes here in New Zealand. I think were about 18 hours ahead of PST, depending on daylight saving variance.
December 25th, 2007 at 4:41 am

December 25th, 2007 at 7:21 am
Merry Christmas from Louisiana. I’m about to go to a family get together and I’m hoping that the page will be up when I get back. Even if it’s not late this is an awesome Christmas Present.
December 25th, 2007 at 7:22 am
up later*
December 25th, 2007 at 9:17 am
Merry Christmas! And happy Kwanzaa (Tomorrow)!
Can somebody make it 11:59? I suppose I could sleep off the rest of the day…
December 25th, 2007 at 9:19 am
This first screenplay page won’t be that great of a present, just to let you know! Most will probably be bored by it.
December 25th, 2007 at 11:17 am
happy birthday last blood!!!!(merry christmas too)
December 25th, 2007 at 1:37 pm
Well, if I hadn’t got a Wiiiiiiiii for christmas, this would have been the best Present
December 25th, 2007 at 3:42 pm
Merry X-mas to you both, Bobby and Owen!
December 26th, 2007 at 11:10 pm
“Well, if I hadn’t got a Wiiiiiiiii for christmas, this would have been the best Present”
If they were going to make a videogame out of Last Blood it should be for the Wiiiiiiiii
How awesome would it be to hack and slash zombies as Math, or snipe them as Grady?
January 22nd, 2008 at 9:54 pm
THIS IS THE BEST PAGE SO FAR!
