Page 1: Drunk
Friday, January 4th, 2008The second Last Blood graphic novel begins! Artist Owen Gieni and I are quite confident that it will be somewhere around a trillion times better than the first one. It will probably run about 110 pages and we plan to finish it before the end of the year. You can expect about two pages per week for the next couple months probably. I’ll also finally start posting a bunch of screenplay pages very soon (might put one up tomorrow).
CLICK HERE to see my mouse drawn MS Paint sketch of this page, but only if you want SPOILERS.

January 4th, 2008 at 6:01 pm
So, here it is. Finally. Now search your souls and admit that it was worth the wait!
I am thinking GN2 will be much better than the first one. Both Bobby and Owen are tons better at their jobs than they were when the first graphic novel started out, and this next one will be sort of like a fresh start.
Now, let’s break out the vodka and drink to the future of Last Blood!
January 4th, 2008 at 6:15 pm
I know I should be able to place the ring, or at least it seems like I should be able to. It could be from one of the many other things I’ve read….
January 4th, 2008 at 6:29 pm
Wouldn’t all the alcohol kill AFP’s braincells? >.>
January 4th, 2008 at 8:33 pm
AFP
I know this will kick ass.
I was born in Sofia, Bulgaria so this is a nice treat as well.
January 4th, 2008 at 8:54 pm
Ah! Finally! LB1 was amazing, so I’m sure the second graphic novel will smash expectations like the Hulk smashes…well…everything. I’m stoked…
January 4th, 2008 at 9:51 pm
looking forward to yet another kickass novel… one of the only bad parts about the first one was that the percent of the comic that contained Addison and Rage was less than 100%. This one seems to be looking up
January 4th, 2008 at 9:55 pm
exciting… and is he gonna share any of that booze? please
?
January 4th, 2008 at 10:11 pm
Haha awesome And that seems quite Funny Anko waited to Drink Her Vodka till this Page and it shows tons and tons of Vodka in it XD
January 4th, 2008 at 10:17 pm
holy crap there is color on the comic *stares at green eyes*
January 4th, 2008 at 10:55 pm
YAY FOR OWEN AND BOBBY
THEY ROCK MY SOCKS
and wow wouldnt it be cool to have the resistance to alcohol of adison payne i mean u make drinking contests and bet thousands on yourself
also AH COLOURFUL EYES NOT GOOD
January 4th, 2008 at 11:02 pm
Yay, new page! I love the use of colour for her eyes, and OMFG AFP??? My year is now officially made.
January 4th, 2008 at 11:13 pm
So, uhn… This is before the events of the first GN, right?
January 4th, 2008 at 11:41 pm
Awesome. We’re back in business.
However, the perspective on AFP is way off. I dunno what happened with the drawing there.
January 5th, 2008 at 12:18 am
AFP…is not yet finished….
kickin’
and great on the new comics!
January 5th, 2008 at 12:46 am
Redrover:
What do you mean? the woman in black is shorter and skinnier than AP, so what’s the problem? Please explain. Perspective is my #1 concern lately and I need the help. I want to get better. What did I do wrong? I honestly can’t see it yet. Thanks.
January 5th, 2008 at 1:06 am
YYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYY
my pants juist exploded.
like 50 times lol
and if it will be a trillion time sbetter as you say
i think my heart will explode lol ^^
anyway its finally back
interesting a woman in black…hmmm
January 5th, 2008 at 1:06 am
Sweet mamma pyjamma, his vampiric ability must be a bladder of iron.
January 5th, 2008 at 1:13 am
YAAAAAAAY! ART & COLOR?! AWESOMENESS!!!….can you tell I’m a crazy fan yet or shall I continue?
January 5th, 2008 at 1:29 am
Ah.. it’s good to see AFP again.
btw, am i seeing things or is there partial coloring?
January 5th, 2008 at 2:04 am
So I was checking for updates on Marry Me and thought I’d mosey on over the re-read LB when lo and behold…an update…now THIS is a good day!
January 5th, 2008 at 2:50 am
Owen: I’m no artist, but I don’t see anything wrong with the perspective on AFP. If there was anything off, I’d say the door and woman might be a bit tall, but I really don’t think so. It all looks good.
Also, is color going to become a regular thing? Perhaps only used for emphasizing key points? Or maybe just an eye thing? I guess I’ll just have to wait and see.
Bobby: Can’t wait to see how this goes! Keep up the good work.
January 5th, 2008 at 3:05 am
Owen: What do you mean? the woman in black is shorter and skinnier than AP, so what’s the problem? Please explain. Perspective is my #1 concern lately and I need the help. I want to get better. What did I do wrong? I honestly can’t see it yet. Thanks.
In the 5th panel, he looks like he’s supposed to be in 3/4 perspective, but the right side of his face (our left) sticks right out further than it should. I’m pretty sure we shouldn’t be able to see his ear etc. It should probably be more like this photo:
http://www.theosophy-nw.org/theosnw/truth/s9fmde.jpg
This is constructive criticism BTW – I love your work.
January 5th, 2008 at 3:56 am
Great first page
So this is Sofia – she looks nice. Now, we should hope to learn something more about her history.
And Addison Payne… man, that is A LOT of vodka. I can see one of the benefits of being a vampire
Eagerly waiting or next chapter!
January 5th, 2008 at 3:58 am
Uhm… When Math said, that AP was alcoholic I wasn’t sure, what it was suposed to mean. Now i know it and I am shocked. Jeez… Well… His inner organs can’t be damaged seriously it has no effect on his brain… I nearly think that he likes the taste, which I find awful and terribly disgusting. Nice work though… Keep going like energizer ;o)
January 5th, 2008 at 4:13 am
Twentyseven thousand nine hundred and thirtyfour bottles of vodka on the wall ..
Twentyseven thousand nine hundred and thirtyfour bottles of drink .. Sing with me !
January 5th, 2008 at 4:23 am
Damn’t, Addison is alchagolic…
January 5th, 2008 at 4:29 am
AFP’s back…man I just hope this isnt a flash back…and Kudos, finally it’s back ^^
January 5th, 2008 at 5:01 am
Is that some AFP?
January 5th, 2008 at 5:14 am
Damn it, in my earlier comment I meant the 7th panel. Bah. :p
January 5th, 2008 at 6:33 am
“man I just hope this isnt a flash back…”
You’re gonna be very disappointed.
By the way, here’s what LB would look like if it was drawn by me. http://www.freewebs.com/lastbloodfaq/MyPage1.jpg And yes, I know I followed the sketch much too closely.
January 5th, 2008 at 6:37 am
Sofia’s hand is a bit too big. Guess she’s a mason or something. But colors look good in it (or should I say ‘color’?). Volume 2 will be some kind of premise to volume 1?
January 5th, 2008 at 6:49 am
EEE ^__^
Sorry, had to be said.
Brilliant as per usual. I know it hasn’t been long, but oh how I missed this :]
January 5th, 2008 at 9:06 am
Awsome job, Bobby and Owen!
I wonder if we’ll ever see AP’s eyes under those glasses
January 5th, 2008 at 12:26 pm
YAY!! Addison Fucking Payne is back! We missed you, AFP!!
And it’s good to see Sofia finally after all this time. I like the color, too…but I hope that the majority of teh strip is going to stay black and white. It’s more dramatic, that way. I like the little touch of color, though, since it attracts the eye and stands out from the rest of the page.
I will now temporarily stop typing in coherant sentances as I have a giant fangirl moment of utter happiness. Excuse me for a moment.
OMFGIT’SAFPANDHEISSOBADASSANDYAYITSFINALLHEREI’MSOFRIGGINEXCITESZOMFG!!!
There. Fangirl moment done. I will now proceed to haunt this website forever and eternity, waiting for pg.2
January 5th, 2008 at 12:37 pm
Man it must be real good to be an alcoholic when you are immortal and all the damages cures immediately.
YAY FIRST PAGE!
January 5th, 2008 at 12:55 pm
Jeez Anko. You’re going to put Owen out of a job.
So it begins! And soon I’m going to request that my comic book store orders a few copies of the first GN for me and my friends. I can’t wait to get my hands on it!
January 5th, 2008 at 1:09 pm
When I first saw the bottles I thought it was him working on the cure. But then I remembered Math talking about how there were rumors of him being an alcoholic so now I don’t know.
January 5th, 2008 at 2:03 pm
Man, that’s gotta suck! Having to drink that much that fast to overcome a vampiric healing system just to get a buzz. Guess that’s why he buys ‘no label’ vodka!
I don’t care how much he drinks, I’m just glad that there’s a flash of color, thinking Sin City style is pretty cool with just an occational bit of color. I’m also glad it’s a flashback, I like a good back story and am always wondering about what characters did ‘back in the day’. And AFP’s not an alcoholic until he goes to a meeting, til then he’s just Irish!
And as for the perspective, mine is so skewed that yours looks just fine to me!
Well done!
January 5th, 2008 at 2:45 pm
Bobby, will more pages of the screenplay be available? I was looking forward to getting some more of those. Not that I’m complaining, comic is better!
January 5th, 2008 at 2:52 pm
Awesome, very excited that it has begun again! Been looking forward to this for awhile now.
And yes, Anko, it was worth the wait, but count me out for the vodka. ^ ^;
January 5th, 2008 at 3:44 pm
I’ll help you with the movie.
I have many friends (and relatives) that are indie movie makers. Unless you already got that covered. Maybe I’d just send monies to help you buy more paper to type on.
January 5th, 2008 at 4:58 pm
“Volume 2 will be some kind of premise to volume 1?”
Blog post from page 102: “…the first sequel, which will follow along with the current characters while also featuring “Lost†style flashbacks to past events, focusing on the origin of The First Zombie (s) from a certain character’s point of view…”
“Jeez Anko. You’re going to put Owen out of a job.”
Ha, no way.
“Bobby, will more pages of the screenplay be available?”
From THIS PAGE’S blog post: “I’ll also finally start posting a bunch of screenplay pages very soon (might put one up tomorrow).”
January 5th, 2008 at 5:14 pm
YAY!!!!
I’m glad to see the second one finally off on it’s feet! There’s color here too!
Those eyes are gorgeous!
Until Monday! And the screenplay would be an interesting read, even if it’s just filler.
January 5th, 2008 at 5:14 pm
Bravade!
Bravade!
So… this is Sophia then eh?
January 5th, 2008 at 6:13 pm
“So… this is Sophia then eh?”
NO! That is SOFIA, not SOPHIA.
January 5th, 2008 at 6:42 pm
Glad this is updating again then =p
Thats…a lot of bottles o_o
It was worth the wait, really! =p
January 5th, 2008 at 6:51 pm
“So… this is Sophia then eh?â€
“NO! That is SOFIA, not SOPHIA.”
Darn, I hate small spelling changes…
January 5th, 2008 at 7:57 pm
do vampires even get drunk …. heh at least we now know why the “cure” was in the vodka bottles .. although i don’t want to think about how the cure was made as all that liquid volume he consumed had to go somewhere …. at least the amount he had consumed did loosen his clothing up a bit
January 5th, 2008 at 9:05 pm
to be honest, I never thought this day would come but I’m happy that it did ^^
January 6th, 2008 at 12:12 am
lolz achrin thats funny, but he probably just put the “cure” in vodka bottles cause he has them lying around not cause they contain vodka cause if it did i think hed be cured by now dont u?
oh and do we need the THE COMMENTS BELOW ARE FULL OF SPOILERS NOWADAYS. YOU’VE BEEN WARNED. cause there arent really any spoilers here now that its just the start are there?
January 6th, 2008 at 12:33 am
I step out for a few hours and all this happen!
MEGA-YEA!
Can’t wait for the next page.
January 6th, 2008 at 2:16 am
Haha, vodka xD
January 6th, 2008 at 2:20 am
I am sooo happy to see this updating again! Extremely excited to see where the story goes!
January 6th, 2008 at 2:54 am
One thing bothers me. If they already had a tame schaemiac (Sofia), why did they have to wait three weeks for Sullivan to crawl out of the ocean and make his own army to fight Francis. If Sofia had started creating forces as soon as it became obvious Francis was going to wipe out most of humanity, she could have amassed a force of several million and still been able to defend a far, far greater proportion of the worlds population (a few tens of thousands at least).
I mean, apart from the fact it would have made a less interesting story, i cant think of any realistic way it wouldnt have gone down that way. I mean, even AP said that Francis couldnt stop Sofia (last words, present tense), indicating at the very least she was still active at that point. What happened? Did she forget to set her alarm one evening and the world ended while she was napping? Is she morally opposed to turning people into Zombies, even for the greater good? Did she simply not care?
January 6th, 2008 at 5:33 am
so has bobby confirmed this is sofia, or are we just assuming it is? she does seem to have several tiny cuts on her hand, so she’s either human or a TFZ, i would think. i just remember the the story being that they had to stop the last outbreak, so i wouldn’t see her as some sort of friend to vampires. but then again this is addison we’re talking about, and if anybody would have contact with her it’d be him.
January 6th, 2008 at 5:45 am
“so has bobby confirmed this is sofia, or are we just assuming it is?”
I think it’s safe to say we’re assuming – if there was any factual proof, it would probably look like this: http://lastblood.net/lb2page1sketch.JPG – “Sofia wears long sleeves!” “Sofia bangs on the door…” “SOFIA stands in open doorway.”
January 6th, 2008 at 8:35 am
Dave: I suggest reading the full second GN (and the third). Also, calling Sofia tame is pretty laughable, as you’ll see.
“oh and do we need the THE COMMENTS BELOW ARE FULL OF SPOILERS NOWADAYS. YOU’VE BEEN WARNED. cause there arent really any spoilers here now that its just the start are there?”
Confused. About half the damn comments have mentioned the name of that lady, which is a major spoiler. Several other things have been spoiled as well and about a MILLION things from the second GN have been spoiled in previous comments pages. Tons of things that were supposed to happen in the first GN and were talked about in the comments ended up not fitting and will be in the second GN instead, and most of those things are constantly asked about over and over and over again on almost every comments page.
January 6th, 2008 at 9:48 am
Owen: The only possible problem I see with perspective is that you’ve got a 9 foot high door on your hands (or everyone in the LB Universe is pint-sized). Taking the huge door into account, everything looks fine (and honestly the door isn’t really a big deal).
Great to see the new GN starting up!
January 6th, 2008 at 10:02 am
“Dave: I suggest reading the full second GN (and the third). Also, calling Sofia tame is pretty laughable, as you’ll see.”
Y’see, the problem i have with that is that its almost impossible to find a De Lorean with a working flux capacitor these days. Oh well.
Also, what i meant by tame was “not destroying mankind”, as opposed to “Will do tricks for Sofia Snacksâ„¢”
January 6th, 2008 at 10:09 am
Again, I suggest reading the second and third GNs, and this whole first scene. In a couple pages Sofia threatens to destroy mankind herself.
January 6th, 2008 at 10:48 am
Never ask a vampire if you can buy him/her a drink.
January 6th, 2008 at 12:13 pm

January 4th, 2008 at 6:29 pm
Wouldn’t all the alcohol kill AFP’s braincells? >.>
Only if it’s.. WOOD ALCOHOL! Bwahahahahahaha.
I thought it was funny.
January 6th, 2008 at 12:20 pm
“…About half the damn comments have mentioned the name of that lady…”
So her name is Sofia, the same as the capital of Bulgaria? Pun intended or did I misunderstood something?
Her eyes actually look like Val’s…but green.
January 6th, 2008 at 12:36 pm
M: It’s not a pun. The city was named after her, as you’ll learn in around 30 pages.
January 6th, 2008 at 2:53 pm
look at all those bottles XD
January 6th, 2008 at 4:19 pm
Hmm… Sofia isn’t tame and she will even threaten to destroy humankind, but she doesn’t. She obviously is tamer than Francis, if you know what I mean. After all, I’m guessing she was the shaemiac that supposedly happened in Bulgaria in the 12th century.
History buffs: Sofia, Bulgaria is one of the oldest cities in Europe and dates from even before the Roman period, however, it acquired the name Sofia in 1376 after the Church of St. Sofia which was on the city. But as we all know, thats a great conspiracy theory and was in reality named after the first shaemiac.
The questions that should truly be asked are the story behind her: How was she stopped back then without the vampires killing her with a stake, to the point she’s still around to knock on the door of AFP’s apartment and pay him a visit. Basically, what motivates Sofia, why did she stop from killing humanity, and why did she not help save the world on the other side when it went to hell in a handbasket. in other words, all about her, but what the hell, we’ll learn it soon.
January 6th, 2008 at 4:48 pm
“The only possible problem I see with perspective is that you’ve got a 9 foot high door on your hands (or everyone in the LB Universe is pint-sized).”
If you like tall doors, check out the last panel of page 61! http://www.lastblood.net/main/2007/06/25/page-61-vals-drink/
January 6th, 2008 at 4:49 pm
Vicky: That’s not an apartment, by the way — secret underground lair, just one room out of many. Addison’s never lived in an apartment.
January 6th, 2008 at 6:06 pm
I love how her eyes are the only thing in color in this page. Something about it makes it VERY awesome.
January 6th, 2008 at 6:30 pm
“Vicky: That’s not an apartment, by the way — secret underground lair, just one room out of many. Addison’s never lived in an apartment.”
Awesomeness.
January 6th, 2008 at 9:51 pm
and we’re finally back on track. yay! it’s funny though. for some reason i always looked at the vampire’s eyes as being red and black, and when i read the comic, i substitute my own colors in my head. saw the green eyes and rubbed my eyes like crazy thinking. “that’s not right”
yea… i’m a smart one.
i see what Redrover is talking about though. AFP’s right jaw is showing a bit too much and the ear shouuldn’t be visible. but still looks good. but a thought came to me, Sofia asks how many it takes to get him drunk. So vampires can get drunk, wonder if he ever challenges Rage to a game of Quarters….
even scarier thought, wonder what Rage is like drunk? O_O
January 6th, 2008 at 10:03 pm
Yes finally its here thank the heavens!
Addison does look a little bit weird in panel 7…It looks like you tried to draw him too realistic than what he was in the past.
January 6th, 2008 at 10:51 pm
That’s enough “constructive criticism” for one page. I don’t need to hear any more.
January 6th, 2008 at 11:35 pm
Owen: Personally, I think that your art is amazing – no criticism, constructive or otherwise, from me! My BEST art is drawing stick figures that aren’t even an approximation of straight, so…..
Seriously, though, I REALLY like the use of colour in the eyes – it adds a really nice touch to the black and white comic – when reading, your eyes are drawn right there!
Bobby: SECOND LAST BLOOD = YEAAAAAAA!!!!
–AD
January 7th, 2008 at 1:23 am
I just thought that Last Blood might be too LONG for a movie. But, maybe more of a Movie Series. Basically, think of Stephen King’s the stand. LONG as hell, but in multiple parts.
Like more like a tV movie series or something. Dont really know, but I would love to see every bit covered instead of bits being cut out because Hollywood or whatever wont approve of it for such and such reasons. -.-
January 7th, 2008 at 1:31 am
woohoo.. good luck with new run Bobby & Owen! Looking forward to it
and in relation to perspective.. i REALLY can’t see a problem with it, looks fine to me.
January 7th, 2008 at 1:45 am
“for some reason i always looked at the vampire’s eyes as being red and black, and when i read the comic, i substitute my own colors in my head.”
Ha, that’s probably because several covers and pin-ups featured vampires with red eyes.
January 7th, 2008 at 3:22 am
Cheers for the years…
Nice to be able to follow this again.. Think I’ll now wait 1-2 months before starting to read it. ( If I can, heh )
January 7th, 2008 at 3:51 am
Woot! Last blood is back in my web comic rotation again
Great first page guys!

Lol. High heels and a burka. That’s kind of like being topless and wearing a chastity belt.
January 7th, 2008 at 5:43 am
yay it’s back
Hope the flashback doesn’t last for more than 3 pages
January 7th, 2008 at 9:41 am
Sweet
January 7th, 2008 at 10:26 am
“Lol. High heels and a burka. That’s kind of like being topless and wearing a chastity belt.”
The high heels are a nice touch too.
January 7th, 2008 at 11:20 am
Addison Drinkin’ Payne. Awesome. I’m glad to see things moving again.
January 7th, 2008 at 5:47 pm
“Lol. High heels and a burka. That’s kind of like being topless and wearing a chastity belt.”
I’m gonna put it this way: she’s a shaemiac.
Nuff said.
January 7th, 2008 at 7:34 pm
Of course AFP doesnot live in a apartment hes fuckin AFP
January 7th, 2008 at 9:23 pm
Green eyes–sweet.
But man…when Math mentioned Addison Payne might have been a big drinker, I was thinking “big drinker” in human terms, or maybe three times that–so, like a few bottles a day.
But dang…just…dang. A Breathalyzer would cease to function. A powerful belch from him at this point would be lightable. People around him would get drunk from his smell. You could fuel a Humvee with a drop of AFP’s blood at this point.
January 7th, 2008 at 10:05 pm
“M: It’s not a pun. The city was named after her, as you’ll learn in around 30 pages.”
My birth town was named after a vampire… kick ass if I may say so
January 7th, 2008 at 11:51 pm
Hell Yes!
How wonderful! Last Blood lives and thrives!
January 8th, 2008 at 3:46 am
That’s a lot of bottles..
January 8th, 2008 at 6:10 am
hey first time poster, full time follower. i like how you brought addisons drinking problem into panels. i was wondering when it would happen. kudos. only thing i wonder is where does addison get the money to buy all the booze…. hmmm, i shall ponder on that. good job again owen and bobby.
January 8th, 2008 at 10:21 am
“only thing i wonder is where does addison get the money to buy all the booze…”
Any way he wants basically. He’s the smartest person in history and he’s a vampire. Not difficult to get anything he wants.
January 8th, 2008 at 10:29 am
Is the picture on her ring of her?
Or maybe some goddess or something…
January 8th, 2008 at 4:19 pm
It’s her, yes.
January 8th, 2008 at 7:37 pm
Lol, went back Anko, yea, maybe i DID get the red and black from the pinups…
looking forward to seeing how Sofia came along. Wonder how pissed the vampire police were when they realized that the one way they can torture prisoners turns them into nigh unstoppable, eat your family and take your dog, killing machines….
no hints there at all, lol, just think it’s funny “well time to go drink some blood in front of the prisoner, hey… why aren’t you paralyzed in pain? holy crap she can move!”
January 9th, 2008 at 1:52 am
“”oh and do we need the THE COMMENTS BELOW ARE FULL OF SPOILERS NOWADAYS. YOU’VE BEEN WARNED. cause there arent really any spoilers here now that its just the start are there?â€

yeah sorry i can be realy realy random at times and forgetful and stupid probably best if u think of me as the resident crazy person that shows up every now and then :p
January 9th, 2008 at 3:18 am
Yeah, so now we got AFDP instead of AFP… How great.
For spoiler, I’d like to give a single note: I’ve read allmost every single thing that there has been on comments on allmost every single page and I still don’t get a HECK of what’s happening.
Yeah, I know our dear vamp-girl (don’t remember her name and didn’t check it while writing this… the one who got killed around 12 pages ago or something) turned a couple of vampires and other of them (the second first zombie… yeah, that sounds weird) got pissed, tunerd into Sma and started destroying population. But that’s not really spoiler anymore.
I also know the point that the green-eye lady is “first first zombie” thingy (or that idea I got from all) but it seems as everybody knew this about 3 months before me, and that’s pretty meaning right?
And for rest, I still don’t get a HELL what’s going to happen. So, just keep up the whole thing and upload story normally (thou I might ask for faster than once in a month… If that’s not too much).
No, you people don’t have to start explaining me everything that spoilers have told: I’m happy with the unknowledge I have, and I can still get suprises from story.
For last, I say same thing everybody else say: Great comic.
January 9th, 2008 at 6:15 am
Bad days are improved by liberal addition of Addison F’ing Payne. And tiny umbrellas. I put one in my scrambled eggs. And they are beautiful.
January 9th, 2008 at 7:27 am
“Hope the flashback doesn’t last for more than 3 pages”
Sorry dude. This is a prequel, so it’s all gonna be “flashback”.
January 9th, 2008 at 8:50 am
Wait. If she is a Schaemiac then shouldn’t her eyes be yellow-gold like Francis and Sullivan? Or is that something they control or is this Pre-Torture?
January 9th, 2008 at 9:42 am
“Sorry dude. This is a prequel, so it’s all gonna be “flashbackâ€.”
Sorry, dude, but you’re an idiot. At least bother to read the comments on the page you post on if you’re too lazy to read the blog posts. http://www.lastblood.net/main/2008/01/04/page-1-drunk/#comment-14356
January 9th, 2008 at 1:14 pm
So the real reason Payne wasn’t concerned about dying wasn’t becouse there wouldn’t be enough blood, but becouse he was depressed every brewery on the planet just went out of business.
January 9th, 2008 at 5:17 pm
“Wait. If she is a Schaemiac then shouldn’t her eyes be yellow-gold like Francis and Sullivan? Or is that something they control or is this Pre-Torture?”
Yeah, JT, I actually JUST realized that if she’s a Schaemiac and has green eyes, that’s just weird….I’m sure we’ll find out soon enough, though, so no worries, I guess.
January 9th, 2008 at 7:31 pm
well i always thought their eyes were glowing because they lost them at some point during the torture and couldn’t grow them back. but that was just an assumption.
January 9th, 2008 at 9:24 pm
Well, if i recall correctly, Bobby did mention reconstructive surgury being performed on her to fix all the icky bits. I think it was in reaponse to a question asking if she would look as nasty (read, cool) as Sullivan and Francis. Im too damned lazy to find a quote, but it would be in the comments for one of the last few dozen pages for the last GN if you wanna go searching.
January 10th, 2008 at 3:37 am
YAAAAAAAAAAY! AFP is an alco :3 awesome, so, if AFP is dead, who’s flashback is this, or is it just following AFP for a while?
January 10th, 2008 at 4:28 am
“Im too damned lazy to find a quote, but it would be in the comments for one of the last few dozen pages for the last GN if you wanna go searching.”
It’s on page 109: “She looks better than Val and doesn’t look rotted at all (possibly thanks to plastic surgery, and makeup also helps).”
January 10th, 2008 at 7:03 am
She doesn’t look rotted NOW, but this is a flashback from 70 years ago and she did look rotted, which is why she has her face mostly covered. Plastic surgery wasn’t so good in the ’30s. Also confused by the people questioning her eye color — I don’t get it. We’ve previously seen two schaemiacs and they’ve each had different kinds of eyes, so why would a third one not also have different eyes? Many variables at play.
January 10th, 2008 at 10:35 am
Bobby’s right. If you look at Sullivan’s eyes he has one normal one. Heck, Sullivan wasn’t even all that rotted. Certainly not as rotted as Francis atleast.
January 10th, 2008 at 11:56 am
I think the confusion is that she has both eyes as vampire eyes, instead of the one vampire, one zombie like the other two, but like you said, many variables are at play.
January 10th, 2008 at 7:26 pm
i really hope the plastic surgeon was a human and not a vampire. freakiest surgery ever.
January 10th, 2008 at 10:06 pm
of course it was a vampire what human would do plastic surgery on a vampire that looked like a corpse?
January 10th, 2008 at 10:08 pm
zaldaran wat do u mean what would be so creepy about a vampire doing the surgery, besides it would almost have to be a vampire or a very soon to be vampire or a very soon to be deadman who did the surgery cause could u live with looking at something horribly decomposed moving cause if u can i want to introduce to to my sister :p.
oh bobby im not sure if you know how to do this cause i sure as hell dont but it might be useful if the calendar page tagger and all the extras were a little further up the page when comments are open like when your reading through the archives
January 10th, 2008 at 10:41 pm
“oh bobby im not sure if you know how to do this cause i sure as hell dont but it might be useful if the calendar page tagger and all the extras were a little further up the page when comments are open like when your reading through the archives”
Works fine in Firefox.
January 11th, 2008 at 12:24 am

very glad that last blood is back!!!
funny page to start with:d
sorry about my previous post, i filled in the wrong email adress[you can delete it....]
January 11th, 2008 at 3:16 am
It’s great to see the comic coming back to life again. I think the hardcore fans were close to becoming schemiacs at this point. We can only take a certain amount of time without Last Blood updates, ya know.
I suppose you’ll be seeing more of me from now on, this is an opening post. Good work Bobby and Owen, keep it up. It has been a week… New page please? I’m starting to feel the effects of a lack of Last Blood.
January 11th, 2008 at 3:17 am
My guess is that Sofia isn’t tame at all, however she is smart enough not to do something extreme (like destroy mankind), even if she threatens to do so.
I have good hopes for her development as a character… waiting for the new chapters
January 11th, 2008 at 5:10 am
“yeah well i use internet explorer so dam u and ur firefox”
What reason is there to start flaming me just because I pointed out that it works in Firefox? No reason at all.
January 11th, 2008 at 7:29 am
…dying for page two.
Or even a screenplay page.
Is it going to be 1 page a week? It’s cool if it is, I’d just like to know.
And kill me if you want, ’cause even I think I’m going to end up looking stupid, but when was it said (if it was said) that Sofia was a Schaemiac? I’ve read through the comments but I can’t find it. (Was it in the WOWIO? That might explain it.)
January 11th, 2008 at 11:29 am
no, it’s been said alot in previous comments. too lazy to go find an exact page, but i think the page where addison dies, or the page before it, where he makes a reference to her, people asked who he was talking about so it’s at least there.
i’m confused by the whole “tame” thing. is that something i missed? because sullivan, obviously, wasn’t crazy. even WLB wasn’t out of control, he was doing exactly what he planned, up until he killed val instead of torturing her. is there something in the comments i missed on that?
figured it was just “oh, now i’m pissed, no i mean REALLY pissed, imma wipe out humanity, yea, that’ll show you.”
January 11th, 2008 at 1:32 pm
Roughly 73 bottles are visible is the 8th panel. Counting the one’s that make up the piles and are in the middle/bottom there would be easily 100+ bottles in that scene
January 11th, 2008 at 1:36 pm
Not counting the 73 already mentioned.
January 11th, 2008 at 2:26 pm
“What reason is there to start flaming me just because I pointed out that it works in Firefox? No reason at all.”
sry Anko not trying to flame u im just used to being a gamer and dam is basically so dam common its like saying hello. so is swearing but kids do frequent this site so im not gonna do that
January 11th, 2008 at 6:19 pm
“zaldaran wat do u mean what would be so creepy about a vampire doing the surgery”
it’d be creepy for a human to be doing the plastic surgery. i just liked the idea of her forcing some surgeon to operate on her.
January 11th, 2008 at 8:12 pm
Sweet!
Great way to start 2008 with LB2.
January 12th, 2008 at 5:34 am
Kitey:
“yeah well i use internet explorer so dam u and ur firefox”
Fuck you. Besides being the comic’s biggest fan, Anko takes a lot of time to answer questions and has done a lot to support the comic. She also helps Bobby not have to repeat himself so many damn times, so why don’t you fuck off and stop insulting people for making helpful or neutral comments.
January 12th, 2008 at 5:36 am
Kitey: Sorry, dind’t see your second reply until after I had commented. Though I don’t know what being a gamer has to do with being a flamer. Anyway, my bad.
January 12th, 2008 at 12:04 pm
Hahaha, I just started reading Wicked Powered, and I found this page:
http://wickedpowered.com/d/20070307.html
So THAT’s Math’s backstory…
Best inside joke ever.
January 12th, 2008 at 12:06 pm
(The first time I tried to post this the whole thing disapeared about three seconds later.)
http://wickedpowered.com/d/20070307.html
I just started reading Wicked Powered, and when I saw this page I nearly cried I was laughing so hard. So I guess that’s Math’s REAL backstory…
Best. Inside joke. Ever.
January 12th, 2008 at 3:27 pm
Just want to say that I don’t think Kitey meant anything bad!
January 12th, 2008 at 4:30 pm
yeah thanks bobby i didnt mean to insult anko i really am grateful for all that she does.
micah in answer to what you said a fair few gamers almost without realising what they are doing get pissed and start swearing whenever their character dies, and since i die a lot its become second nature to me especially cause the vast majority of my friends also game and see it as normal
once again sorry anko didnt mean to offend
January 12th, 2008 at 8:19 pm
By the way, any chance page two will be around soon?
January 12th, 2008 at 8:33 pm
Hey Bobby, just wondering if you’d had a chance with those questions.
January 13th, 2008 at 12:09 am
can AFP have a drinking problem if he dosent get pissed.
also
BOBBY and OWEN ROCKS
January 13th, 2008 at 5:16 pm
Being a gamer shouldn’t justify unwarranted swearing.
January 13th, 2008 at 6:41 pm
*Pout* Had to be a flashback. Meh, it’s an awesome flash. Anyone doin’ ressurections or is that just too much handwavium for Last Blood?
Jeez, count ‘em, that’s hard. The little corner to reader’s right on panel eight? I’ve got twenty-two so far, fourty to the back wall, easy. I’m estimating over a hundred. 150, sure, accounting for some un-shown back room. 150 bottles of vodka on the wall, 150 bottles of vodka! Take one down and pass it around, 149 bottles of vodka on the wall!
January 13th, 2008 at 8:47 pm
when is there gonna be another page of anything?
January 13th, 2008 at 10:10 pm
Lydia im not saying it justifies it im just saying its how i naturally talk i didnt mean to be offensive especially cause dam seems so common. If i said a harsher swear word (since im trying not to cause offence i won’t use examples) I could really see your arguments. I see it could be seen as rude but it just seems blown up a bit to me (please do not take offence to that its just my opinion).
And I really should’ve learnt by now any time i post in a forum/blog/comments page i seem to start a fight or get someone upset, really should’ve learnt that by now stupid me
January 13th, 2008 at 11:29 pm
soooo, wheres the next page?
January 14th, 2008 at 12:13 am
“Hey Bobby, just wondering if you’d had a chance with those questions.”
Can’t figure out what questions you’re talking about.
Owen was sick most of this week and he says he can do 2-3 pages this next week (14th-20th).
The Kitey thing is a total non-issue. Also –
“And I really should’ve learnt by now any time i post in a forum/blog/comments page i seem to start a fight or get someone upset, really should’ve learnt that by now stupid me”
You’re nowhere near as bad as me in that regard, so don’t worry about it.
January 14th, 2008 at 1:38 am
Hhhmmm yeah your probably right i was bored and read back through the archives for spoilers and noticed how everytime someone does “constructive” critisism you say that its not and the arguments are worse then mine. I concede to thee master of pissing people off.
And yay new pages are coming
January 14th, 2008 at 10:30 am
@ Kitey
I don’t really care about your “problem” or if you value the opinions of people on the internet THAT much. But that one liner I posted popped into my head so I thought I’d share it. Not like you have to agree or disagree with it.
@ Bobby
I’ve been reading through comments and talked to you enough in the past to know what you mean about your responses to “criticism.” I personally don’t agree with them, but it isn’t my place (or anyone’s, if this is your site anyway) to tell you how you should be acting. Besides, many have tried and they failed. =P
January 14th, 2008 at 11:09 am
Bobby Crosby – January 14th, 2008 at 12:13 am
Wish Owen to recover soon. Don’t know how others, but I like his drawings and understand that it’s nearly impossible to do anything being sick.
January 14th, 2008 at 3:06 pm
NEW PAGES!! *Cries happy tears*
Virtual hugs for everybody!!!
(If you couldn’t already tell, Last Blood updates are the highlight of my sad, pathetic monday through friday existance. Needless to say, I’ve been going through serious withdrawl for the last 9 days, 23 hours, 6 minutes, and 27.5 seconds.)
January 14th, 2008 at 5:54 pm
…are we going to see a flashback of Math when he was originally human (maybe when Val meets/turns him?) that would be awesome. And maybe a flashback of the Hitler assassination? Kidding. But it would still be awesome.
January 14th, 2008 at 5:56 pm
Kitey, using curse words is fine so long as you can spell them correctly.
Damn is the curse word. Dam is something to stop water from flowing.
Booby, really look forward to the new LB. You and Owen keep up the fantastic work!
January 14th, 2008 at 7:05 pm
“Booby, really look forward to the new LB.”
Bobby is my name. Booby is the thing on your chest!
January 14th, 2008 at 10:09 pm
Booby is a bird.
Boobies are the things on your chest.
Tell Owen to stop being sick and draw before this page hits 150 comments.
January 15th, 2008 at 12:22 am
To late lydia u made comment #150
Oh and Bobby, booby is only on girls chest or really really weird guys
January 15th, 2008 at 12:43 am
I love that appearance at sorethumbs!
January 15th, 2008 at 3:29 am
Page is drawn and sent off! hooray! I want to draw more!!
January 15th, 2008 at 5:42 am
OMG Owen is my new hero!
January 15th, 2008 at 6:58 am
“Page is drawn and sent off! hooray! I want to draw more!!”
Feel free, Owen–nobody here is gonna stop you.
January 15th, 2008 at 1:46 pm
“Page is drawn and sent off! hooray!”
Finally. I just want to point out that it’s a little bit annoying when you update once every two weeks. You probably have other things to do, but once every two weeks? That’s just a lack of dedication.
January 15th, 2008 at 2:31 pm
“I just want to point out that it’s a little bit annoying when you update once every two weeks. You probably have other things to do, but once every two weeks? That’s just a lack of dedication.”
As of a couple hours from now, 114 pages, plus four covers and seven pin-ups have been made since December 25, 2006, which is 125 total pieces of art in 55 weeks, for an average of 2.27 pages per week. And in the past two weeks Owen and I have combined to either write or draw over one page per DAY of our various comics, and that’s while Owen’s been very sick for much of that time. So anyway, shut the fuck up.
January 15th, 2008 at 3:44 pm
yeah, i’ve been reading the updates to marry me and EV. it really takes the edge off of the last blood shakes.
January 16th, 2008 at 2:18 pm
“So anyway, shut the fuck up.”
Classic. When I read the post about being annoying, I got annoyed.. So I was waiting for your reply. As with the comics, you did not disapoint. ::Grins::
Oh and looking forward to more Last Blood goodness. Woot!
And that’s about it.
January 22nd, 2008 at 1:26 pm
Omg omg omg! XD
January 22nd, 2008 at 9:56 pm
THIS IS THE BEST PAGE SO FAR!
