Page 7: Less Talk, More Kill
Thursday, February 14th, 2008On Page 8 we’ll learn what Rage’s special vampire ability is. I doubt anyone would guess it unless they were at least half joking at the time.
CLICK HERE to see my mouse drawn MS Paint sketch of this page!

February 14th, 2008 at 11:48 pm
Excellent! Rage is BACK!
And killing is once more in style…Dipshit, lol
February 14th, 2008 at 11:51 pm
Time for the owning to rilly start
February 14th, 2008 at 11:52 pm
SECOND!
February 14th, 2008 at 11:55 pm
yeaaaah! ah man rage moments like that make me happy in an evil way!
February 15th, 2008 at 12:03 am
Heh, awesome page… again… again… ag… you get the idea ^^
Wonder how he’s gonna take learning about the A-Bomb… Even thogh the world has been overrun by zombies, and he was in military and all, that is still something quite atrocious to discover :S
February 15th, 2008 at 12:04 am
Okay…so I was just pwned by the combination of a comment-approval system, and my own obnoxious need to declare where I am in a sequence of comments.
Not too unhappy, though, as this is still the highest I’ve been on the page.
This is ten kinds of cool. The last line sells the whole page for me. Poor guy was just a handful of weeks too soon into the ocean.
Wonder how he’d react to the Internet, other than becoming an instant porn addict.
I never thought I’d be grateful for late-night homework.
Which needs to be done now.
February 15th, 2008 at 12:09 am
Things are going to get interesting from here…
February 15th, 2008 at 12:18 am
Let’s hope when he says people he means zombies….
Also, I love the “what’s an atom bomb?” comment from the guy who’s been underwater for 70 years.
February 15th, 2008 at 12:26 am
CMT: 65 years not 70 man
Jees our nice zombie man has an awful lot of learning to do.
Look at Maths face when he remembers Rage it looks so cool and it also proves that they did actually forget about him which i find hilarious.
EEP SCARY GLOWING EYES AND FANGS ON RAGE EEP
February 15th, 2008 at 12:37 am
Yay for pick-me-up page! I really could have used this today after what happened yesterday at school.
February 15th, 2008 at 12:42 am
Cat, did you just have a regular run-of-the-mill bad day, or do you go to Illinois State?
February 15th, 2008 at 12:49 am
Yay, rage’s back =p
Gotta love the last panel with math and sullivan…with the fact that rage is going to kill that many zombies and knowing that something called the atom bomb was created during the 65 years…
February 15th, 2008 at 12:54 am
So… how exactly is Math ripping chains?
February 15th, 2008 at 1:20 am
Sorry if this is a stupid question (and/or if it has already been asked before)… but isn’t math human now? Looks awfully like he’s tearing through metal chains with his bare hands. Has he retained some of his former strength?
Again, sorry, I’m honestly not nit-picking (especially as it annoys me when people pick over every single detail/plot hole/vampire ‘fact’ in the comic).
I just needed to ask
February 15th, 2008 at 1:22 am
Ignore above comment..
Especially after reading the ms paintmash of the comic.. it seems clear that math is just moving the chains and sully is doing the snapping.
I’ll go get my dunce hat eh?
February 15th, 2008 at 1:54 am
I got to say that Math’s face is less neutral and more stark fear. Rage’s power must be interesting if Math doesn’t think he is joking. My first guess is that Rage has some berserker mode where he just cuts loose and any living thing in a certain area would probably end up shredded into little bits. Second was that he couild somehow explode and repeatedly pull his body back together but that one sounds a little farfetched.
February 15th, 2008 at 3:14 am
I like the title of this chapter
And, I have no doubts Rage can do what he said he would do. Go get ‘em!
February 15th, 2008 at 3:19 am
terrific page, loving the dialogue
February 15th, 2008 at 3:34 am
I wonder if Rage can fire eye lasers?
February 15th, 2008 at 3:38 am
That last panel is just too hilarious. It’s so hilarious I can’t think of anything that could be more hilarious. Anyway, great page.
I think I know what Rage’s ability is. He can summon huge armies of puppies. Puppies that are so hungry they would be happy to eat zombies.
February 15th, 2008 at 3:39 am
oh Rage … he’s my favourite
February 15th, 2008 at 4:16 am
Well, let’s see. It cannot be super strength, super speed, super agility, super naming-of-kill-methods, super pain tolerance, super pain (giving or receiving) enjoyment or super healing since Rage has already shown these……
February 15th, 2008 at 4:44 am
They all have super healing abilities and I hope he wont start killing the good zombies because then they realy scrued
February 15th, 2008 at 5:00 am
XD And thus Rage shows off another of his levels of awesome.
February 15th, 2008 at 5:52 am
Crazy ideas for Rage’s power:
He shoots laser beams out of his eyes.
He transforms in the Hulk.
He tears walls down screaming “OH YEAH!!”
He farts incredibly poisonous clouds of fart whenever someone pulls his finger.
He spits fire.
He can command the aquatic life.
He is actually Chuck Norris. ‘Nuff said.
February 15th, 2008 at 5:53 am
Aw, Rage is so cute when his bloodlust gets going!
I’d hug him except…y’know
February 15th, 2008 at 6:15 am
Panel five might be the greatest thing ever
I’m glad to see that my idea of him rebelling against the vamps now that Addison is gone turned out to be false. I don’t want anyone to have to kill Rage…
February 15th, 2008 at 6:37 am
“What’s an atom bomb” sums up Sullivan’s problems so well. God I love this comic. It’s amazing, and I have much more to say, but unfortunately I must go to class now.
February 15th, 2008 at 6:47 am
Yay, it’s Rage! Math in panel 2 scares me but makes me laugh.
February 15th, 2008 at 6:49 am
Maybe he will turn in the thousand bats :> and cross the army of zombies like plague or locust
I don’t know why these vampires can’t change in bats so maybe Rage will can
February 15th, 2008 at 6:52 am
I heard that there is no chin within Rage’s beard.
.. there is, only another fist.
February 15th, 2008 at 7:44 am
Sullivan is in for any number of nasty shocks. Just think about everything he missed…
Rock and Roll.
Transistor Radios.
Computers.
Bikinis.
Civil Rights Movement.
Jets.
Rockets (mostly).
Cold War.
Heck, that’s just off the top of my head and I’m dead tired at the moment…
One wonders what he is going to think of the world that he missed. I suspect a great deal of disbelief in his near future.
February 15th, 2008 at 7:47 am
I thought Math was human now, how is he snaping chains with the bare hands like it’s no big deal?
February 15th, 2008 at 8:26 am
No, Anko, it’s obviously charm & compassion.
February 15th, 2008 at 8:35 am
Awesome page… given that Sullivan has a pretty decent sense of smell, you have to wonder how long he knew that Rage was sitting there chained.
As for Rages power, I’ll take a guess that maybe its some kind of energy manipulation? Given that Devian can fly, stands to reason there might be more “X-Men”-esque powers out there
February 15th, 2008 at 9:19 am
Perhaps he turns into an adorable puppy.
February 15th, 2008 at 9:34 am
“Whats an atom bomb” that is so rich man, can’t wait for the next page.
February 15th, 2008 at 10:00 am
Math is not ripping any chains. He’s just clearing away the ones that Sullivan already ripped.
February 15th, 2008 at 10:20 am
How come Matheson can still break chains barehanded without being a Vampire or did he just lose his smelling abilities?
February 15th, 2008 at 10:28 am
Wow, you can’t be serious. Anyway, you people disgust me. Random is obviously banned, along with anyone else who asks that question again.
February 15th, 2008 at 10:53 am
Maybe next he’s showing us how to generate ki blasts from pure anger and joyment of killing? Njaah, wouldn’t be his style.
Or maybe he just grows about size of scycraper by eating a lots of bodies and starts smashing puny zombies into heads.
February 15th, 2008 at 11:12 am
I’m guessing something more along these lines: not restricted in strength by the amount of blood he’s had. In the FAQ, it says most vampires need about a pint a day to be at full strength. Maybe Rage doesnt need that…it would be fitting, in a way.
February 15th, 2008 at 11:21 am
Looks excellent guys!! I’ve been reading since somewhere in the beginning of the first story and love it all the way!!
February 15th, 2008 at 11:58 am
Bobby - I don’t think Random was trying to reiterate the previous posters thought - I’ll almost wager that his post wasn’t included right away due to the whole “moderation wait” thing. You know, post, and wait between 10 and 15 minutes before it is viewable for anyone else. Besides, I thought the same thing about Math as well until I read your response, and now it makes perfect sense to me..
BTW, I’m loving the color.. Not that the B&W was bad, but the color adds something..
February 15th, 2008 at 12:37 pm
Or, with the blood idea, he just can rip his arm off and it regenerates into new rage, and so we got 2 blood-thirsty Rages… (YEAH, then everybody might ask why the hell he hasn’t made around 500 copies of himself yet. That’s easy: He has allways killed them (or himself, it’s little bit confusing))
But anyway, either our dear writer(s) are just annoying us with whole “Rage’s vampire powers”, they got some great joke coming up wich nobody can really see before it slaps our faces or it’s either puppy-thingie or domination.
February 15th, 2008 at 12:53 pm
RÁÁÁÁÁÁGEEEEE!!!!
Heh… I fucking like him xDDD
Rage is just perfect xD
February 15th, 2008 at 12:54 pm
More or less Rahe’s ability will be tied with his name by my guess lol
February 15th, 2008 at 1:23 pm
I have a question Bobby. Do all of the vampires inherit or have a power such as flight or intelligence or powerful sense of smell? If they do then who gave Rage his powers or Devian hers? And if Rage inherited his powers is the vamp who turned him a bad ass too? Just wondering.
-Odin-
February 15th, 2008 at 2:03 pm
“Do all of the vampires inherit or have a power such as flight or intelligence or powerful sense of smell?”
No. Here’s part of an old comment by Bobby that you might find helpful.
“Not all vampires have some sort of unique ability. Rage was already very strong before he became a vampire, since he was a professional wrestler who worked out all the time, and becoming a vampire enhances most of your abilities as a human. So if you were already strong, then you’re gonna be super strong, even more than a normal vampire. A “normal” vampire is probably twice as strong as the strongest human in the world of their same height and weight, but it varies from case to case. Devian is weaker than a normal vampire, for example.”
Also, Devian was born a vampire and comes from a long line of vampires descended from the first flying vampire - she wasn’t turned, if that’s what you were thinking.

I’m a day late and a dollar short (I know), but I thought you guys might get a laugh out of the punch-line here.
February 15th, 2008 at 2:38 pm
Holy cripe! The coloring in this comic is really getting very good.
February 15th, 2008 at 3:05 pm
Just come to think about one thing… How do he get his hair like that after 65 years on the ocean floor? I must be missing out on the “do it natural way” or something..
Still.. To bad they didnt kick him when he was in all the chains.. couldv’e been fun.
February 15th, 2008 at 3:26 pm
“Still.. To bad they didnt kick him when he was in all the chains.. couldv’e been fun.”
yeah until he came out and beat the shit out of both of them
February 15th, 2008 at 3:46 pm
Is it just me or does Math’s face look odd i picture 2?
it just doesnt seem to right…
well maybe it is just me…?
February 15th, 2008 at 3:58 pm
my guess for Rage’s special ability - ballet dancing! All he needs is a bit of inspiration and off he goes on his twinkling toes, snap-kicking zombie heads off as he goes …
This message brought to you by vertiginous feelings …
February 15th, 2008 at 3:58 pm
“Bobby - I don’t think Random was trying to reiterate the previous posters thought - I’ll almost wager that his post wasn’t included right away due to the whole “moderation wait” thing. You know, post, and wait between 10 and 15 minutes before it is viewable for anyone else.”
No clue what you’re talking about. Somewhere around a MILLION people asked the same fucking question before him and then 20 minutes before he submitted his comment I ANSWERED IT. There is no 10 or 15 minute wait period. New people need their comments approved by me, and if I’m online at the time I do it instantly (I get e-mails whenever someone comments). The people who post on these comments are INSANELY stupid, you know. Someone posted on like Page 5 a couple days ago or something asking if there was ever going to be a Page 6. People are retarded and annoying.
February 15th, 2008 at 4:17 pm
Yea, Math sort of resembles Mac in the 2nd panel, but I know why…. fear. He’s not a vampire anymore and he just left Rage chained up and missing the good zombie killing. Me thinks he’s praying that Rage will see Sully first and think “Zombie must die!” while he tries to explain everything lol.
But you’re all wrong, Rage’s power…. his black coat will turn red… music will start playing…. and it’s Thriller Time! The zombie’s one true weakness!
This page got me thinking though, Rage doesn’t even seem to care that Addison is laying there dead, and back before the big attack, Addison said doesn’t matter what the outcome was, it was win/win for Rage since he likes torture and pain. So seriously, what’s the guy’s weakness? Haha! I know his too! Kill yourself before he can, rob him of his fun! Hey… never said you’d make it out alive >.>
February 15th, 2008 at 4:35 pm
Brilliant. And hillarious.
Loved the last panel, expecially Sullivan’s face. “What’s an atom bomb?”
But panel five, and the way Sullivan and Math are giving Rage the “Ummm….ok…??” look.
February 15th, 2008 at 4:47 pm
I go to Northern Illinois University, the site of the shooting yesterday. Hence my bad day…I was in the building next door when it happened.
February 15th, 2008 at 4:56 pm
Sad.
February 15th, 2008 at 5:45 pm
My guess is that he can explode
February 15th, 2008 at 7:12 pm
Rage’s power is probably to grow in size or being a genius.
February 15th, 2008 at 8:29 pm
Pretty sure Rage’s special ability is he transforms into Bobby Crosby and bans everyone from earth, but not without rapier wit and hilarity stuffed into every casualty. I fucking love this comic
February 15th, 2008 at 8:37 pm
IN response to random, he may have had the page up before you posted Bobby and hadn’t refreshed, say he was looking at another site and didnt post before another 19 or 20 minutes.
February 15th, 2008 at 8:41 pm
And in response to Kanian, what the heck does that matter? At least two people asked it previously in the comments, which is reason enough not to ask it, and he chose the name “Random” and used a fake e-mail address, which annoys the shit out of me in the first place. I hate total morons like him. Also, shavenlunatic answered the damn question before I did –
http://www.lastblood.net/main/2008/02/14/page-7-less-talk-more-kill/#comment-16431
Anyone else who insanely defends Random will be banned obviously.
February 15th, 2008 at 9:02 pm
lol “what’s an atom bomb?”
love this comic!
February 15th, 2008 at 9:17 pm
In regards to Rage’s “ability”…
I’m standing firm on my speculation that he can go over nine thousand.
February 15th, 2008 at 10:09 pm

In regards to Rage’s “ability”…
I’m standing firm on my speculation that he can go over nine thousand.
“What’s it say Vegeta?”
“It’s over nine thouuuuuuusand!!!!!”
ahhh good old high school memories lol, good times….gooooood times
February 15th, 2008 at 10:16 pm
My guess is Rage can jump really well. Like a Kangaroo, or Mario, or even better a bouncy ball! Or he can sing?
February 15th, 2008 at 10:38 pm
I lol’d.
February 15th, 2008 at 11:44 pm
I think your all rong I think RAGES ability is to KICK SHIT OUT OF EVERY ONR
February 15th, 2008 at 11:45 pm
*ONE
February 16th, 2008 at 12:51 am
Each time I see Rage I like him more
February 16th, 2008 at 1:03 am
I have to say, the comic is in itself really good. But the comments are where the real action is, if it werent for the comments and Bobby kicking the fucking shit out of the little kids who can’t think past the letter A, I don’t know if I’d be as interested in LB as I am…Always a pleasure to see an idiot put in his place. Thanks for the fun and games Bobby.
On a side note, I would imagine Rage’s ability is a non-sense making one. His character is rather…Insane, so if his ability were a normal one, well it just wouldn’t suit him. Think outside of the box, but not “anime” outside of the box(By that I mean talking kittens and kids with fucking hedgehogs as hair. :\)
February 16th, 2008 at 6:30 am
This page is just awesome! Glad to see Rage on the rampage again!
Love the last panel, might have even been funner(if that were possible) if Sullivan had said ‘What’s an Adam Bomb?’
Totally kickass, can’t wait to see what’s next!
February 16th, 2008 at 6:56 am
More crazy ideas for Rage’s ability:
He can summon Chuck Norris at will.
He can spit watermelon seeds with deadly speed and accuracy.
He will then huff and puff and blow the zombies away.
He can shoot fireballs from his hands if he ate a magic flower previously.
He has the star of invulnerability, but he never uses it since he loves torture.
He is Chuck Norris, ’nuff said.
February 16th, 2008 at 7:02 am
Whoa, Rage is scary. Really scary, but I’m curious as to what he’ll do next xD. Oh, and Math looks weird in the second pannel, very… young. Donno…
Nice page, can’t wait for more!
February 16th, 2008 at 7:12 am
how can Math tear the chains?? he’s human. most humans don’t have chain-ripping strength. other than that awesome
February 16th, 2008 at 7:55 am
I love Rage :}
February 16th, 2008 at 8:53 am
I don’t know why, but I keep waiting for rage to use his hair to pull a zombie’s head off.
February 16th, 2008 at 8:54 am
I swear rage has just been waiting for the zombie apocalypse. He must have been bored as hell before all this went down.
February 16th, 2008 at 9:12 am
“how can Math tear the chains?? he’s human. most humans don’t have chain-ripping strength.”
Wow, seriously dude, what the fuck. You’re literally the fifth person to ask that on this page. It has been answered already by Bobby himself. He also said that anyone else asking that question would be banned.
February 16th, 2008 at 9:53 am
FUCKING AWESOME!!!!! That is the only thought I had as I read this page. Well done Bobby and Owen, well done.
I have a question, do we even know if Rage has a power? He could just kick ass, why does he need a power when he can perform such classics as the ol’ Switcheroo or the Atom Bomb?
February 16th, 2008 at 9:54 am
Crazy Artist, that question was answered a number of times and it pissed Bobby a lot. I suggest you to apologize before he reads your comment and bans you.
February 16th, 2008 at 10:28 am
OMG HAY Y R MATH RIPPING CHAINZ AZ HUMAN LOLOLZ!

February 16th, 2008 at 5:27 pm
Thanks Anko that cleared up the confusion. Sorry about the late reply my job ate me for a while. Mewt makes me laugh. Scattered brain…22hour shift. Must go into a coma for a while now. Keep up the good work Bobby and Owen!
-Odin-
February 16th, 2008 at 6:41 pm
“What’s an atomic bomb?”
WOW O_O…hard to remember sometimes that the atomic age really is only (this being comparatively) began around 60-70 years ago, my parents weren’t even conceived then, like its been just such a force in the world & history (which is basically, the world as well lol)…but really, what a great line, like wow–realy reminds you he really is WAYoutta touch…and it also made me laugh, though I think it was in a sad way, a sad laugh…
February 16th, 2008 at 7:41 pm
best page yet in my opinion. the chains thing confused me but luckily i can read, so the comments cleared it up. lol.
I was i’ll admit a little sceptical about the colour, but i love how you still kinda have it muted of darkened or something, anyway, still looks sweet as owen.
loven it all keep up the good work guys.
February 16th, 2008 at 10:19 pm
Lol, I want to see his face when they tell him that the man was on the moon and lost interest in it, that cloning is possible, that you can alter your genes and that smoking is bad!
February 16th, 2008 at 11:47 pm
Rage is definitely so totally metal!
Also i love the historical thing with sullivan not knowing about atom bombs.
Thumbs up!
February 17th, 2008 at 12:16 am
Well, it was nice knowing you, Crazy Artist.
And Mewt, do you enjoy juggling hand grenades in nitroglycerin factories?
February 17th, 2008 at 1:31 am
After givin it some thought… maybe he just is stronger and more vicious than the average Vampire.. well DOH! maybe thats why he had all the chains on him… slapping myself…
Maybe he dont have any special “abilities/gifts/powers” cept that he is a totally badass and completly careless about everything cept his own entertainment ?
February 17th, 2008 at 1:55 am
“Maybe he dont have any special ‘abilities/gifts/powers’ cept that he is a totally badass and completly careless about everything cept his own entertainment ?”
From blog post: “On Page 8 we’ll learn what Rage’s special vampire ability is. I doubt anyone would guess it unless they were at least half joking at the time.”
February 17th, 2008 at 2:29 am
I rue the day Rage runs out of things to kill…
February 17th, 2008 at 2:45 am
“I rue the day Rage runs out of things to kill…”
We’ll make sure to feed him lots of Internet idiots. The internet and TV were designed to keep idiots outside of public places longer. Long live the internet.
February 17th, 2008 at 2:46 am
His dick turns into a giant sword.
February 17th, 2008 at 3:20 am
Two things:
Rage ftw amirite?
Also, Owen, top notch job on the new colored pages, they look insane, I never would have thought of rage as a norse looking psycho, but its fitting with the beserker attitude he seems to be packing.
Keep it up
February 17th, 2008 at 4:47 am
The title could actually serve as a nice slogan for Last Blood - “Less Talk, More Updates”
Judging by his appearance, I won’t be surprised if Rage’s special ability is to go completely berserk… or turn into a Werewolf.
February 17th, 2008 at 7:18 am
I don’t even care to guess what his special ability will be, I just want to see it.
Rage owns, and there’s nobody who can deny that.
Someone said Rage will kill 19000 people. Let us think about that for a moment. In ex Yugoslavia, there was a concentration camp, called Jasenovac. A young communist called Peter Brzica worked there. They had a competition, whoever killed most Serbs in 24 hours would get a keg of bear and a golden watch. He killed 1680 Serbs in 24 hours. Now let us consider zombies. They have weak body integrity, so they die fast. Vampires are twice as fast and strong as humans. Rage is a heck of a lot more badass than other vampires. You’re telling me he could only kill 19000? I’d add more zombies to that number if I were you.
February 17th, 2008 at 7:44 am
Not sure if it’s been asked before but shouldn’t Rage be surprised that Math isn’t a vampire anymore?
February 17th, 2008 at 9:18 am
I find it disturbing that you know that. Though I also find it humourous that you think that number should be vastly increased for Rage.
February 17th, 2008 at 12:15 pm
Rage looks so pleased to go out and kill zombies (expect the good zombies). xD
hmm. perhaps a lame question. but does there exist clanes/packs among vampires? sorry if this question annoys.
February 17th, 2008 at 1:10 pm
I’m just wondering, how long did they just leave Rage there? Hasn’t it been a couple hours? He seems like freeing him would have been one of the first things to do as soon as Sullivan came around. Well, nevermind. I’ll assume that they just cleared out any stragglers inside the school and hadn’t had the opportunity to get to him beforehand. So I guess the entire post is moot.
February 17th, 2008 at 3:01 pm
I just realised, roughly how old was rage when he was bitten?
February 17th, 2008 at 3:09 pm
“Not sure if it’s been asked before but shouldn’t Rage be surprised that Math isn’t a vampire anymore?”
No — all he cares about is killing and pain.
“but does there exist clanes/packs among vampires?”
Not really. Most stay to themselves and sometimes the one who turned them. Mostly loners.
“I’m just wondering, how long did they just leave Rage there? Hasn’t it been a couple hours?”
It’s been maybe 12 hours.
“I’ll assume that they just cleared out any stragglers inside the school and hadn’t had the opportunity to get to him beforehand.”
They didn’t have to clear out any inside the school. Those all ran out after the humans. They’ve been killing the zombies all around the school, pushing back the zombie forces from the east and securing a perimeter around the school (and around the pond where the humans are), as Sullivan said at the end of the first GN.
February 17th, 2008 at 3:54 pm
You want to know what Rage’s secret power is? Pull his finger…
And for the truly cold-blooded thought of the day:
I got to thinking about the long term effort at rebuilding the human race. Best case scenario I can see takes at least five or six generations, but there are some interesting problems that will doubtless come up.
Specifically, humans will always be human and sooner or later someone will commit some fairly nasty crime. How do you punish them and really make it ’stick’ when the whole world has gone to H***? What could possibly be a nasty enough deterrent?
As long as Sullivan stays around while the human race rebuilds itself, there is an exceptionally evil option available for gross violations of whatever legal code the humans come up with. In a very… interesting way it combines Capital Punishment with community service.
Commit a crime of sufficient magnitude and spend the rest of eternity as one of Sullivan’s zombies doing whatever he tells you to do.
Of course they are going to need some way (a uniform of some sort?) to tell ‘good’ zombies from ‘bad’ zombies, but it could work. Assuming you can convince Sullivan that is.
Speaking of which, I hope Sullivan has his zombies on a short leash and some way for the vampires to tell which zombies are his. There would be a horrible irony if Sullivan’s zombies got offed by Rage and/or slipped out of his control long enough to kill the remaining humans.
I should shut up now. I might be giving Bobby ideas.
February 17th, 2008 at 4:00 pm
The good zombies are the armed ones. If you see a zombie with a machine gun, don’t kill it.
February 17th, 2008 at 5:57 pm
It’s good to see Rage is finally free. I like Sullivan more with these new scenes. It’s kind of funny to see him adjusting to the amount of time he’s missed.
February 17th, 2008 at 10:22 pm
I’m liking Sullivan a lot too. He’s not the brilliant scientist like Addison, the charismatic leader like Math, the cunning type like Francis, or even the berserk badass like Rage. He’s an all-American folksy hero like his granddaughter, April.
February 18th, 2008 at 12:12 am
Gotta love the look on Sullivan’s face throughout the entire page.
“Uh, what?”
February 18th, 2008 at 2:31 am

First off: Page 39 of the first GN kind of killed Math as the “charismatic leader” type for me. (I mean, he’s still perceived that way 99.9% of the time, but…. if his face is ever in shadow again I will immediately think of nothing but “Yes,” and that to me crosses the boundaries of the “charismatic leader” archetype*…. which is why it was such an awesome plot twist in the first place. Go Bobby. )
And now, the reason I had to make this comment in the first place:
He’s like a zombie-horde-commanding-vampire-Captain America! And hey, look, they’re both dead!
*When the charismatic leader archetype character’s face is in shadow, you’re supposed to think “Oh, okay, things are bad, but in the next panel he’ll be looking up into a light source and saying something about how they’re down but not out or something.”
February 18th, 2008 at 2:41 am
Lance: A friend told me to google his name, he found it funny. I remembered the fact, and it sort of fit here lol.
Everyone keeps mentioning good and bad zombies. I might be wrong, but aren’t they all like bad if they aren’t under control? The zombies that captured the vampires were controlled by Francis at that moment, but once Francis was dead, they were on their own again, normal zombies. Wouldn’t the zombies Sully controls be the same if he let them be free? So there aren’t any bad or good zombies. There’s just those under Sully’s control and those that aren’t under his control. Am I right?
February 18th, 2008 at 3:45 am
“People are retarded and annoying.”
Ok…yeah bobby is right, except if he means all people that would be extremely biased, and no offense bobby, stupid. I hope he just meant people like random.
(Yes, I dug that up from one of his posts. Just felt like stating that what he said there, is what I felt pretty wrong.)
February 18th, 2008 at 5:02 am
Yes, but saying good and bad is faster than ‘under Sullivan’s control, not under Sullivan’s control…’
February 18th, 2008 at 6:23 am
Well technically one could argue that Zombies have a constant state of neutral as they only go off basic instinct when not controled and when controled they aren’t going by any wil they might have had before. A zombie in this theory should therefore be treated more like an animal taught to obey someone as opposed to an exact force of good or evil as they are human terms.

Mewt enjoys juggling grenades -period-. Also, he’s been around since… *Counts* Page 3? 4? And thus has the benefit of the doubt for all stupid commentary made, even if he did stop commenting once the comic got popular. >.>;
February 18th, 2008 at 10:31 am
This is great. I’m still loving this color, and the dialogue is still great. And to prevent any more anger/distraction to Bobby, I recommend that further discussion takes place on the facebook group. Just click my name for a link.
February 18th, 2008 at 10:33 am
Quoth the Crosby, “The good zombies are the armed ones. If you see a zombie with a machine gun, don’t kill it.” Y’know… in pretty much ANY other situation, I’d discount this as catastropically bad advice.
No offence intended here Bobby, I understand how it applies in this case, but can you imagine? 28 Days Later zombies with chainsaws? Resident Evil T-Virus victims with Uzis? Hell, even Shawn of the Dead blibbering idiots with shotguns?
Put it like this: you’re undead. I’m not. I get to go around armed. You get to try and eat me. No middle ground. No compromise. No negotiation. This is MY boomstick. You can’t have one. The whole “can’t be killed by conventional means” IS the balance.
So no: if I see a zombie that’s armed, I’ll damn well kill it. You have around 6 billion left to choose from. It’s like the “Don’t kill spiders, they eat the bad bugs” argument. That may be so, but if they’re in MY bathtub (ESPECIALLY with a machine gun) they’re getting smooshed.
February 18th, 2008 at 10:36 am
His power is killing Chuck Norris fan boys. Seriously, get over it. The jokes are old.
February 18th, 2008 at 10:42 am
that was beautiful bobby. seriously. well done.
February 18th, 2008 at 1:45 pm
I personally don’t like Chuck Norris jokes, but that doesn’t mean I can’t take advantage of their popularity in order to remark the awesomeness of Rage.
February 18th, 2008 at 1:55 pm
Tegu: Stop mentioning the facebook group. I detest facebook. And there’s no reason to respond to this.
ZenKai: What the heck are you talking about? Have you read the story? You’re basically saying “I’m so fucking stupid that I’m gonna kill anything that looks like a zombie, even if it’s the only thing keeping me and the entire human race alive.” They obviously needed (and still need) Sullivan’s zombies to survive.
“His power is killing Chuck Norris fan boys. Seriously, get over it. The jokes are old.”
Agreed.
“I personally don’t like Chuck Norris jokes, but that doesn’t mean I can’t take advantage of their popularity in order to remark the awesomeness of Rage.”
It does now for this site. From now on, a second (or more) mention of a Chuck Norris joke from the same person will result in a ban.

You sir are stupid. The zombies with guns are the ones that Sullivan controls. And thus are his army. The army protecting you, the civilian, from the zombies that will eat you. The zombies that are probably gaining vampire powers now.
So… you are stupid
February 18th, 2008 at 3:21 pm
Does sullivan have a power?
February 18th, 2008 at 3:32 pm
Bobby: Message received, no more CN jokes.
Fieldy409: Yes, he controls zombies, can zombifie humans, can regenerate damage at will and has enhanced strength. Read the damn comic and you can see that yourself.
Something tells me that Nathan is soon to be banned…
February 18th, 2008 at 3:37 pm
“Something tells me that Nathan is soon to be banned…”
Uh, read the damn comments more carefully. Nathan quoted an idiot and properly told him he was an idiot, just like I already did before. Don’t tell people to read the damn comic when you’re obviously horrible at reading things properly yourself.
February 18th, 2008 at 3:49 pm
I think Rages ability is going to involve lazers.
February 18th, 2008 at 4:08 pm
Are we sure Rage knows not to kill the zombies with machine guns?
Having Sullivan’s zombies around the human survivors is still dangerous in any case. A zombie’s unnatural instinct is to eat humans. I know Sullivan is good, and that it’s a lot easier to keep the zombies standing in place than making them do complicated tasks, but it still only takes one slip-up to kill someone by accident.
Continuously thinking ‘Don’t kill the humans don’t kill the humans don’t kill the humans’ every moment of every day for weeks/ months/ years with sufficient clarity to affect all of his zombies is impossible. But doubtless Sullivan already knows this and has planned accordingly. Every good soldier knows their own limits intimately.
I like Sullivan. Any idea yet who you are going to get to play him in the movie(s)?
February 18th, 2008 at 4:37 pm
Yep, that’s rage.
February 18th, 2008 at 4:38 pm
if he’s human now…how is he ripping the chains with his bare hands?
February 18th, 2008 at 4:57 pm
“if he’s human now…how is he ripping the chains with his bare hands?”
I laughed for five minutes after reading this. Fucking hilarious. But also very sad how people can be so stupid. Anyway, the plain and simple answer is HE’S NOT. Here’s what I said to the PREVIOUS person who asked that question on this page. “Wow, seriously dude, what the fuck. You’re literally the fifth person to ask that on this page. It has been answered already by Bobby himself. He also said that anyone else asking that question would be banned.”
February 18th, 2008 at 5:13 pm
Mr. Crosby is doing an amazing job of harnassing a winning formula from the hit shows Survivor and American Idol. With each new strip, a forumite (or four) is voted “off the island” with so little rhyme or reason, it’ll keep viewers guessing! The format of the ban is also variable. Will he simply effect a ban unceremoniously, or do so after a long speech in which he invokes Cicero’s verbal flaying of Gaius Verres, one of history’s most crusty and revered forum trolls? So whether you’re misgoverning Sicily or just your own half-baked post, remember that one comic author fancies walking softly and carrying a big BAN-stick.
February 18th, 2008 at 5:40 pm
I just noticed that on Friday’s Phineus there is an … amusing analog to this page - it is worded differently, but the … shall we say - um, essence? - is the same. It’s in the last panel. If a new one has been posted before you have a chance to see it, the one you want to read is for 2/15/08 and the first panel has a confused-looking zombie saying “Brains?”
http://phinmagic.comicgenesis.com/
Gave me a chuckle, anyways.
Katy
who is likely a bit TOO easily amused.
February 18th, 2008 at 7:00 pm
Avram: No offense, but are trying to be funny or just an ass? At first I thought you were just trying to be humorous, but implying that Bobby bans people “with so little rhyme or reason” and just generally comparing any part of the comic with reality TV kind of confused me as to your intentions. Just curious…
February 18th, 2008 at 7:42 pm
Spoiler: Rage’s power is the ability to make human Math have amazing chain ripping skills. It’s totally obvious.
February 18th, 2008 at 8:10 pm
LOL, love it. Getting you the Page 8 script soon.
By the way, Rage’s power will bore and/or confuse most people, like they’ll be “Oh, really? Weird” in a bored way.
February 18th, 2008 at 11:49 pm
Rage clearly has skills in knitting. Yep vampiric knitting skills. Why do you think they call him Rage, it’s cause the other vamps made fun of him for his power.
Great comic by the way/
February 18th, 2008 at 11:55 pm
Owen’s comment almost made me spew orange juice all over my keyboard, and I’m not even drinking orange juice. Looking very forward to this next page!
February 19th, 2008 at 7:22 am
…I’m slightly impressed. I thought the plotline was sort of ridiculous when I first heard of it but it’s oddly enjoyable. The art’s pretty good too.
Rage is awesome. Not sure how I feel about Math becoming a human, but I’m fairly sure I’ll have forgotten about it in no time. ^^
February 19th, 2008 at 8:40 am
So, does a banning mean no more commenting, or does it mean that they are IP blocked and can no longer view the comic?
February 19th, 2008 at 10:24 am
Here’s a question, we all know not to kill the machine gunner Zombies, but does Rage…O_o
February 19th, 2008 at 10:35 am
Lance, I think that’s the most ‘Uhoh’ statement of the day… >.>
February 19th, 2008 at 3:49 pm
I just now noticed that even though the right half of Sullivan’s head is all bone (excluding his eye), his ear is still intact. Thats some strong vampire cartilage he has there.
February 19th, 2008 at 5:48 pm
After Rosin mentioned the ear thing something struck me that I simply hadn’t noticed before. I love the fact that the glowing zombie eye is on the more intact side of his face while the vamp eye, which allows you to actually see the eyeball is on the decaying side. It adds a weird kind of symmetry.
February 19th, 2008 at 8:58 pm
Sigh.. is it wrong that I find the Zombie King number 2 oddly hot?
February 19th, 2008 at 10:20 pm
Brellchild Says:
“Having Sullivan’s zombies around the human survivors is still dangerous in any case. A zombie’s unnatural instinct is to eat humans. I know Sullivan is good, and that it’s a lot easier to keep the zombies standing in place than making them do complicated tasks, but it still only takes one slip-up to kill someone by accident.”
Interesting point I must admit, especially with the previous comment by Sofia when she declared that she was not perfecting she was mastering (or whatever). Basically, I think that you’re right and that this could be an issue later in the comic.
Krasno Says:
Fieldy409: Yes, he controls zombies, can zombifie humans, can regenerate damage at will and has enhanced strength. Read the damn comic and you can see that yourself.
…Yeah… he meant a special power, beyond that of a schematic or simple vampire. So there are actually two questions here.
1) Does Sullivan have a power?
Answer: Probably not, as he was turned by Addison and we didn’t see anything amazing out of Addison (except his intelligence, which Bobby already said was NOT a power, but simple smarts)
2) If a vamp has a power and then becomes a schematic does he/she retain that power?
Ans: Probably. See no reason not to.
Of course, Bobby’s word is the final answer
February 20th, 2008 at 12:44 am
“By the way, Rage’s power will bore and/or confuse most people, like they’ll be “Oh, really? Weird” in a bored way.”
What are you talking about Bobby his power won’t make them say “Oh, really?” it will make them say “O RLY!”.
Yeah its old i dont care its still fun
When i saw Owens post i thought it was a fake post for a few reasons like that it is incredibly stupid and that im pretty sure he has a link in his name to one of the other million webcomics drawn by someone called Crosby (if you don’t understand this refernce you don’t read Sore Thumbs)
February 20th, 2008 at 12:57 am
“If a vamp has a power and then becomes a schematic does he/she retain that power?”
“Probably. See no reason not to.”
Francis certainly retained his enhanced sense of smell.
February 20th, 2008 at 7:41 am
Good call Anko.
February 20th, 2008 at 6:50 pm
Well so long as any biological feature required for the power doesn’t rot off them, I’d say that all schaemiacs retain any powers they had as a vampire. Like Anko said, Francis retained his ability to smell and so long as say a super strong vampire didn’t have their arms ripped off I’d say they would keep that ability.
Anyway, this does raise certain thoughts and questions. For example, the glowing schaemiac ‘eye’. Is that actaully an eye or a glowing hole where said vampire eye used to be? Bobby said getting that feature depended on what happened while becoming a schaemiac, so is it a physical, biological eye or a gaping mystic hole in their heads that still allows them to see?
February 20th, 2008 at 7:02 pm
Saw this and thought of LastBlood’s comments thread. HTH!
http://imgs.xkcd.com/comics/duty_calls.png
February 20th, 2008 at 7:51 pm
I know others enjoyed it, but my favorite part was the ‘what’s an atom bomb?’. Keeping him behind the times quite appropriately
February 20th, 2008 at 9:16 pm
I know I’m commenting on this way later. oh well - i thought it was hilarious
“It’s like the ‘Don’t kill spiders, they eat the bad bugs’ argument. That may be so, but if they’re in MY bathtub (ESPECIALLY with a machine gun) they’re getting smooshed.”
damn straight that spider is dead-assed meat!
I’d kind of freak out [if I had no idea what was going on], if I saw a zombie with a machine gun. yea that wouldn’t be a good thing for me. But I would just run away like a chicken with my head cut off. ((and then probably die somehow))
So I hear what you’re saying ZenKai. - about zombies IN GENERAL.
But THESE zombies? In THIS comic? yea, they’re FREAKIN SWEET.
*note to self* (Don’t kill the ones with the machine guns.)
Yay for machine guns!
does that make sense?
there is a difference between the zombies in this comic and in other stories/movies/people’s imaginations… right?
February 21st, 2008 at 12:22 am
Wow i just looked at the number of comments on this page and whoever posted a couple of pages back or something about us having low amounts of posts compared to earlier has certainly just been corrected with our 150+ comments yay
February 21st, 2008 at 2:38 am
Zombies with machine guns (or shotguns/chainguns) are a classic concept.
Anyone here played Doom? It’s full of relatively smart zombies, who try to blow your head off with various firearms. Their schaemiac is Hell itself
February 21st, 2008 at 8:22 am
Good old Rage. Can the chitchat and gouge out some eyes!
February 21st, 2008 at 8:33 am
You’re right hah. The drama is in the comments… I can’t wait for the next page! Two plot lines is better than one, yes!?
February 21st, 2008 at 8:59 am
that’s right! I tune in to see who will be wrong next. I hope it’s not meeeee! (It probably wll be)
February 21st, 2008 at 1:12 pm
I’m hoping Rage’s power is something akin to having Addison’s indestructible clothing. It maybe that is his hair is hiding it, but I don’t see the cut from where the sword went through him.
February 21st, 2008 at 3:56 pm
I really like how Owen does such a good job at keeping sullivan (and francis) zombified, but still vampiric at the same time. That last frame where you can still see sullivan’s fangs is nice.
February 21st, 2008 at 4:38 pm
A little off-topic, but I don’t think anyone’s asked this before.
Are there vampires who have other ‘classic’ powers of vampires? Like mind control (”Look into my eyes…”) or Changing shape (Bat, Rat, Wolf, Spider, Mist, etc). I know that Bobby has taken his own approach to vampirism, but I was just curious if any of the currently existing vampires have powers along those veins. Get it? Veins. Blood in the veins… I made a joke! HA!
Of the ’super vampire’ powers so far shown (by super I mean that while all vampires have powers, some seem to have above-and-beyond-the-’norm’ of even other vampires, and some like Devian have unique ones), I only remember seeing have been super-smelling and flight (and of course schaemiac zombie controlling powers, for schaemiacs), but I’m asking about non-schaemiac powers. Are there others that have been shown that I havent remembered, or will Rage’s power be the third type shown?
Hope my questions arent too convoluted.
February 21st, 2008 at 4:40 pm
Oh yeah and I think I remember some people mentioning the punk mohawk vampire might have super-speed or something?
(I’m particularly curious what Big Black’s power is, and if Bobby’s thought up a name for him yet)
February 21st, 2008 at 4:42 pm
Hrm I added something but it didn’t seem to add on:
I tried to add another comment where I said that I seem to recall some people mentioning in comments that the mohawk punk vampire might have super-speed or something as well.
And I also mentioned that I’m particularly curious what Big Black’s power is (that is, if all vampires have a special power to which they acclimate), and was wondering if Bobby had thought up a name for Big Black yet.
February 21st, 2008 at 4:53 pm
Mohawk having super-speed was a suggestion I made, partially in jest. Do NOT consider it canon. Bobby has made no mention of him having any special powers. To my limited knowledge, BB does not have a name yet.
I’m hoping that some form of either hypnosis or weak mind-control is a power, something akin to the schaemiacs power. Something that could get enhanced during the 65 years.
Or have humans start to exhibit little signs of change. I imagine that most victims are drained dry, or at least not repeatedly drank from. I personally think it would be cool if, over time, a vampire drinks enough blood from a person, they start to turn. Powers without bloodlust. Could be cool.
Again. Super-speed is a power I made up, not Bobby.
February 21st, 2008 at 4:56 pm
I made up the super-speed thing. Whether it’s true or not, I do not know. I would certainly hope so, but I really have no idea. I also don’t think BB has any declared powers, nor a name.
February 21st, 2008 at 5:00 pm
that old wound would probably be healed right now Tegu. Math healed a bullet wound in apx. 1-2 hours.
February 21st, 2008 at 5:03 pm
graw! sorry about that post on the old subject, my computer just sucks like that.
February 21st, 2008 at 5:56 pm
“Or have humans start to exhibit little signs of change. I imagine that most victims are drained dry, or at least not repeatedly drank from. I personally think it would be cool if, over time, a vampire drinks enough blood from a person, they start to turn. Powers without bloodlust. Could be cool.”
But they’re going to extract the blood with medical tools.
“Super-speed is a power I made up, not Bobby.”
Ha. You didn’t make the power up, just suggested that the punk vampire had it.
“that old wound would probably be healed right now Tegu. Math healed a bullet wound in apx. 1-2 hours.”
Tegu was talking about the clothing. And it didn’t take 1-2 hours for Math’s wound to heal, it healed instantly.
February 21st, 2008 at 8:25 pm
Anko, as always, you know/remember just enough more than the rest of us for it to matter. Thank you for correcting others, and correcting myself. While I still think it would be cool, the medical supplies remove that possibility.
February 21st, 2008 at 9:01 pm
Hmm….. this seems to have disappeared from the comments now…. but I think maybe Rage never gets tired and only needs blood to push off the pains and stop ‘the process’? Could be like Juggernaut in once he gets going, almost impossible to stop.
There was the big battle with the zombies, and he was fighting far longer than the rest since Addison unleashed him right after they crash landed, and while the other vamps were tiring out, Rage’s claws were getting longer and he’s biting through chains. And ever after all that, he was tied up for about 12 hours and he’s about to get back to killing. Not asking for a lick of blood.
Hey…..it kinda makes sense, he was a pro-wrestler, so he had alot of stamina, so now he has super stamina lol. Maybe that’s another reason why they turned him into a Ball of Rage?
February 21st, 2008 at 11:13 pm
Theinen, I think you have nailed it. Not a real impressive power, but it fits well with what we’ve seen.
And nice pun.
February 21st, 2008 at 11:43 pm
I think a power that Bobby did mention was super vision (like binoculars)
February 22nd, 2008 at 1:43 am
good theory theinen….but bobby said you would have to have been joking to guess it, so that sounds too…reasonable. sides, maybe hes just had a lot to drink before we saw him, is getting weaker but is too manly to mention it.
February 22nd, 2008 at 1:43 am
btw rage looks truly evil in colour!
February 22nd, 2008 at 10:07 am
On a related note: I think mind control would probably be one of the more useless powers (at least in this sort of setting) unless it can be used to mind control zombies (which I doubt would happen since that’s more of a schaemiac thing and zombies strike me as relatively mindless normally), since there are so few humans left and there’s not much point in mind controlling other vampires.
I was just curious about if Bobby had mentioned any other powers, and if ‘unique’ powers was a thing where each vampire has one, or if it’s a rare thing (like one in every X vampires has some sort of unique talent which can be passed on).
February 22nd, 2008 at 11:42 am
I’ve said dozens of times, including very recently, that not every vampire has a unique power.
February 22nd, 2008 at 3:19 pm
Maybe rage blows up when he gets angry enough? That would certainly be unexpected, if odd.
February 22nd, 2008 at 5:38 pm
Rage’s power is when he gets angry enough, he even can break the fourth wall.
February 22nd, 2008 at 6:57 pm
I have to say Sully in the fith panel there strikes me as really adorable for some reason. LOL
February 23rd, 2008 at 1:55 am
I Dont know if you guys have thought this. And I’m not trying to be disrespectful in any way But Rage kind of reminds me of “Jack” From vampire the masquerade bloodlines. Except Jack wasn’t so gung ho about everything
February 23rd, 2008 at 2:15 am
“Zombies with machine guns (or shotguns/chainguns) are a classic concept. Anyone here played Doom? It’s full of relatively smart zombies, who try to blow your head off with various firearms.”
Doom definitely counts as “classic” in the realm of video games. However, I think it hardly counts as “classic” as far as zombie lore (or concepts) goes.
@ Jon Pander: Rage’s power is breaking the fourth wall… Fucking hilarious. Love it.
February 23rd, 2008 at 7:47 am
“Maybe rage blows up when he gets angry enough? That would certainly be unexpected, if odd.”
That actually sounds reasonable. I’ve got my vote in for that one.
February 23rd, 2008 at 2:34 pm
Half-joking at the time…
Hm, it wouldn’t be super farts, would it? >_>
February 23rd, 2008 at 3:37 pm
Zaldaran if it sounds reasonable it probably is wrong because sure Bobby says theyd have to be half joking, but Bobby says a lot of things so it has to be totally unrealistic like the ballerina stuff earlier in the comments or…
LASER BEAM RAGE(insert sound of lasers firing here i can’t remember how to spell it)
February 23rd, 2008 at 3:43 pm
Keep in mind that I’ve also said it’s boring.
February 23rd, 2008 at 7:51 pm
maybe it’s a real boring explosion! he just sort of goes poof!
February 23rd, 2008 at 8:51 pm
Perhaps his power is being able to eat iron (e.g. biting through the chains) in lieu of the iron-containing hemoglobin of blood? But if so, why didn’t he just eat the chains around him? Nevermind.
Wait, I’ve got it. His power is simply the inversion of pain that Bobby’s been talking about regarding him.
February 23rd, 2008 at 10:47 pm
just read this comic thought from the start and loved it.
oh and Rages’s power is probably something akin to corpse explosion,
which would be really cool and explain the atom bomb comment he made.

“oh and Rages’s power is probably something akin to corpse explosion,
which would be really cool and explain the atom bomb comment he made.”
He just explained the atom bomb comment in the comic.

I think that the stupidity of those “DUhhhhhhh, is it…vodka?? It’s gotta be vodka!!” people from pages 111-112 of the first GN has been surpassed by these idiots… I have little to no hope for humanity at this point.
What’s next? (I shudder to think.)
__
I love the way the red vampire eyes look in color– much different than how I’d been imagining them in the black-and-white version… But very cool. Can’t wait for the next page, and Rage’s special ability: I think it’s funny that Rage, who is a badass killing machine, would have a power that’s classified as ‘normal’. I like the irony.
February 24th, 2008 at 11:52 pm
“Keep in mind that I’ve also said it’s boring.”
Dam i thought i dreamt that bit, someone like Rage with a boring power no fair.
Flower/Rainbow shooting eyes then?
February 25th, 2008 at 1:44 am
Brilliant stuff again BC - you’ve got the timing of these pages down-pat for sure, with action, followed by pages of recent history, more crazy action, then details on vampire abilities/old history, slowing it down a bit… and then… unleash Rage! I now dub thy creation Kriegshunde! ^_^
With the movie/series that you have in the works - have you had any ideas on who you’d have for our favorite maniac? How about Donald Gibb? I know it’s been 2 decades since Bloodsport (which is making ME feel fricking ancient…) but he’d be almost perfect in my books.
Besides, Rage seems like a guy who would definitely quote “I love anything full-contact… I need some more scars on my face!” and mean every word of it!
Well, that’s my 10 cents for the night. Cheers!
February 25th, 2008 at 8:24 am
Maybe his super power is that he can grow a beard really fast and then make wigs for all of the zombies. Then the zombies wouldn’t be so bored.
Or maybe he can produce pheromones that will make all zombies gather into a massive orgy pile.
or maybe he jumps really high into the air and then slams into the zombies causing a shock wave K1 style.
or maybe he just picks up a rifle and a straw between his lips, sits on his rocking chair and shoots a zombie every once in a while.
or maybe he can bend time so he can go back when he was younger and fuck himself :S
February 25th, 2008 at 9:19 am
Rage’s power is both boring and you’d need to be half joking to nail it…
Perhaps he just sharpens his claws and fangs more so than other vamps?
No, too boring.
Farts tear gas?
Too stupid…
I’ve got it!
Rage’s power is to transform Zombie guts into a projectile weapon! Simple yet effective for grossing people out before you rip them in half. Now I say farewell to this weirdness, good bye.
February 25th, 2008 at 9:47 am
Maybe Rage’s power is to increase the rate at which the GN is updated
Just kidding…
February 25th, 2008 at 10:32 am
Well it is obvious what Rage’s power is.
To grow his beeeaaarrrrddd!
Growing a beard is the next manliest thing to bending stuff.
February 25th, 2008 at 11:20 am
Hell yeah, I can’t wait for the next panel! This will kick ass! Nuff said, let’s crack some zombie-heads^^
February 25th, 2008 at 1:27 pm
I know we are at the whim of Crosby and Gieni. but but but…..
(whiny girl voice) I’m addicted! over 10 days is too long wahhhh!
February 25th, 2008 at 1:34 pm
Totally my fault this time, still haven’t even written Page 8. Been lazy/depressed. Everyone should write to me on AIM (bobbyc1012) and tell me to hurry the fuck up and work on shit.
February 25th, 2008 at 1:50 pm
hey i dont get it. if math is human how was he able to break the chain’s that was holdin rage.
February 25th, 2008 at 1:56 pm
I do not want to sound whiney, or be taken the wrong way. (and sorry in advance if I do), but it may be better to take the “new page every MWF” part off of the site banner.
I just noticed that now just by fluke chance, and I have been keeping up todate with this comic for sometime now.
good luck with the next page.
February 25th, 2008 at 1:57 pm
and will, that has been answered, and asked many times.
he is not breaking any chains, he is clearing away the ones that rage has already broken.
February 25th, 2008 at 2:06 pm
“hey i dont get it. if math is human how was he able to break the chain’s that was holdin rage.”
Seventh time this has been asked on this very page. Bobby replied to one of those, saying that anyone asking the question again would be banned. I also replied to the last two. Thanks for keeping us all amused. Whenever I see one of these I laugh out loud, but after a minute I get very sad about the current state of humanity.

But the banner is totally accurate. Every MWF means every month with flowers. So the comic is actually updated a lot more often than the planned schedule.
February 25th, 2008 at 2:21 pm
I swear I will personally hunt down the next person who asks the question will just asked.
Dear Fucking Retard (Will),
Bobby has repeatedly answered this question on this page. I lost count at how many times he had done so. If you take the time to read through the comments like a intelligent, contributing member of the internet would, you find that Math is actually pulling the chains that had already been broken out of the way. Thank you for taking the time to read this comment like a contributing member of the internet, and I hope you feel humiliated by your own stupidity. Have a nice day.
February 25th, 2008 at 2:58 pm
lol, ah right, thanksd for clearing that up for me Anko, but where the hell are my flowers

——————————————————————–
Actually, a beard is a prerequisite to bending stuff. Think about it, when have you EVER seen anyone without a beard bending stuff? At the VERY least you need one HELL of a handlebar mustache!
I think Rage has the ability to use his Pro Wrestling moves, combined with his super-human vampire strength to do an incredible airplane spin body-slam where he leaps about 40 feet into the air and impacts the ground so hard the concussion actually blasts the rotting flesh off all the zombies in a 20 foot radius.

“Growing a beard is the next manliest thing to bending stuff.”
I think that is one of my favorite LB comment quotes that didn’t come from Bobby. I’m gonna use that to make fun of all my 20something-year-old friends that can’t grow beards.
February 26th, 2008 at 7:02 am
What’s everyone planning to do for the two week anniversary since the last new comic? I’m planning on deleting my bookmark.
February 26th, 2008 at 8:44 am
>>>I do not want to sound whiney, or be taken the wrong way. (and sorry in advance if I do), but it may be better to take the “new page every MWF” part off of the site banner.<<<
Not that I wasn’t whining myself, but just mentioning to artists about the actual schedule, makes you look like an anal tard. Only Nazi’s and English Butlers follow the schedules absolutely.
I can respect artistic depression. I draw custom tatoo designs. one week I wanted to kill myself because a godzilla design wasn’t coming out right. aaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
February 26th, 2008 at 8:46 am
BTW Beards rock! When my husband grows face pubes, I wanna attack him– and usually do! tickle tickle hee hee!
February 26th, 2008 at 2:37 pm
You Asked For It: You are an asshat.
February 26th, 2008 at 6:18 pm
I agree, You Asked For It is a complete asshole as are the others who can not respect the creative process. Stop whining you little bitches and just enjoy this FREE entertainment you are being given for NOTHING! I write stories that aren’t even posted on the net and I still feel pressured as my friends often want to know what happens next. So anyone out there who feels like whining just think what it’s like to have a deadline then how crap it is to miss it before you open your traps!
February 26th, 2008 at 6:26 pm
You Asked For It: You fail. Not only will you be deleting your bookmark, we will be celebrating you go. Bye bye.
We real fans will continue to wait, and read the comic again, in an attempt to reduce our uninformed comments.
February 26th, 2008 at 9:53 pm
Rage! >:D
I’m excited to see what his ability is.
February 27th, 2008 at 12:06 am
I dunno guys, loosing “You Asked For It” seems like a really big loss, such a quality guy and classy act. I know I’ll feel the emptiness (!)
February 27th, 2008 at 1:43 am
I haven’t even talked to Bobby about the new page myself, i’ve just been getting caught up on other things, Have been a bit down and unproductive myself lately, that happens to us all. The good news is that it’s usually followed by a creative spurt. I did 3 pages today alone of various projects. It felt great. Keep the faith. LB will be back strong shortly. If there is no script this week I’ll do a pin-up or two to fill up the spare time. Thanks for your patience gang.
February 27th, 2008 at 6:44 am
“You Asked For It” - Next time you complain about late updates, why don’t you take a look at all the 120 pages that have already been done. Think about how much effort and creativity went into making every single one of them.
Do you recognize quality when you see it? If yes, perhaps it won’t kill you if you wait a couple more days.
February 27th, 2008 at 8:03 am
Your right, every frame is a work of art in itself. I love going back and re-reading it. I even have the wowio issues saved on my flash drive to show my friends.
This would sould like a testimonial commercial, if I said the brand of flash drive. lmao!
February 27th, 2008 at 8:06 am
SOULD!!! I FORGOT OUT TO SPELL!!! AHAHAHAHA
February 27th, 2008 at 8:09 am
“But the banner is totally accurate. Every MWF means every month with flowers. So the comic is actually updated a lot more often than the planned schedule.”
…that…is utterly adorable. xD
February 27th, 2008 at 9:44 am
Omg, i just read it all in one sitting, im like awwwww its done
but shit this is an awesome story
totally cool, the whole vampire vs zombie thing, i totally love it!
Keep up the good work! XD
February 27th, 2008 at 11:46 am
I would rather wait a month for a mind blowing awesome l337 comic, than have 3 rushed and crappy comics a week.
Not only does Bobby put a lot of effort in the writing and imagining of each vignette, but also Owen busts his head figuring the light, colors and expressions (what if Bobby just posted his Paint-drawed sketches?) and finally Chris has the totally boring task of adding the word bubbles and lettering.
So stop whining, would you rather do all of those things with the exact same level of quality???
February 27th, 2008 at 1:11 pm
just as a note, that Will is a different one then me lol don’t want to get flamed on later pages for someone random asking a stupid question thats been answered more times then there are humans left in this story
February 27th, 2008 at 1:23 pm
CHANTING…
give me quality
give me art
those who don’t like it
on them I fart.
a big and juicy
steaming pile
on anal retentives
I spew my bile!
beauty comes with
total patience
Crosby and Gieni
talent without pretense
(a shayna original)
February 27th, 2008 at 5:16 pm
Another guess at Rages ‘power’: Is he an expert at knitting?
A mundane talent to keep his hands busy when he’s not fighting.
February 27th, 2008 at 9:25 pm
I’ve read up from the bottom a bit, (I havn’t been here for a while, there was only like 30-50 comments when I was) and I’m not going to spend my time this late at night trying to find the answer. So I’ll make it up myself. Someone (or a lot of people) asked about the chain thing, I was a bit confused, but I just figure “He’s unwrapping the chains that Sullivan Ripped already”
Yes? No? Maybe?
February 27th, 2008 at 9:37 pm
Yep Jaysburn, that he is. Good call.
I just wanted to take this time and mention how Sullivan’s muscles are HUGE. I like the way they are drawn, but seriously-massive.
Was it purposeful to show Sullivan’s arms and not Rage’s/Math’s, or was it just costume?
February 28th, 2008 at 12:21 am
what if Bobby just posted his Paint-drawed sketches?
NEVER EVER SAY THAT. if you give him the idea he might do it. It’s murphys law man, if you ignore its existence it doesn’t. You mention that it’s there, and it just might happen.
Lazarus: Rage needs to keep his hands busy now? Hell froze over when exactly? Rage exists to fight, sleep, fight, eat, fight, feel pain, fight, kill stuff(not to be confused with fighting), fight and comedic relief. Did i mention he’s here to fight?
February 28th, 2008 at 7:18 am
i dont know if anyone has said it already, and im not going to check cause there are 13 thousand comments already, but maybe rage’s ability is to heal other people by absorbing their injuries into himself. that would make sense, cause he would enjoy the pain it would bring, and he heals very fast cause hes a vamp.
i know, its not a funny special power, but what are you gonna do about it?
yeah, thats what i thought.
