WHOA WHOA NEW COMIC WOOT
April 24th, 2008 at 10:49 pm
First post. Everyone says this, but I just feel generally amused and so I’ll say it too.
So Rage is fast as hell. I wonder if its solely in a general direction, or does he have lightning reflexes? It makes me wonder how he got caught, if he could move so fast.
April 24th, 2008 at 10:52 pm
also, totally got first post.
apparently people sleep around here…
April 24th, 2008 at 11:21 pm
For some reason, reading that, I got one of those ’something bad is going to happen’ feelings. Hopefully I am just being pessimistic, but I think Rage is gonna go the same way as AFP =(
April 24th, 2008 at 11:44 pm
Go Rage!!! Awesome page!!!
April 24th, 2008 at 11:57 pm
I’m not sure the zombies know how to kill a vampire. The others only could because AFP was controlling them. Quite sure they just revert to their animalistic behaviour, or in other words “uuggghhh brains”.
Glad to see me checking the page everday in hope of more strips paid off. Keep up the good work!
April 25th, 2008 at 12:10 am
Where’s Anko? Hell must have frozen over.
April 25th, 2008 at 1:02 am
Aaaw, Rage’s so sweet when he’s talking about zombies
April 25th, 2008 at 1:03 am
Yes, new comic!
Looking good, loving the colour too. Keep up the good work guys. =D
April 25th, 2008 at 1:07 am
Pierre, AFP never controlled and zombies, that was Francis Murdo, a.k.a. The First Zombie, a.k.a. Whiny Little Bitch. And I think we all prefer to just call him WLB.
April 25th, 2008 at 1:55 am
Finally!
April 25th, 2008 at 2:20 am
An awesome new update.
Now I do not want to be the one saying negative things, but right after I read the line that he can run 120 miles I just thought about it for a brief second:
On one side he is a melee heavy duty fighter and running fast is an extremely big advantage to him. However 120 miles do not sound as impressive as the ability to fly.
Idk… I love Rage and his ability to run like he is on meth, but on the other side I thought he would be faster. I guess my own expectations were a bit too high so the cap on his speed was slightly disappointing.
Just a lesson to never expect too much from an already extremely bad ass character.
April 25th, 2008 at 2:46 am
Well, he can go faster than most cars can (If they don’t want to explode) so he has an advantage even over technological humans, and even if he were pitted up against a racecar, he - as a “human” with legs - would be more agile and more able to switch directions. Leaving me to wonder, like Andrew, about his reflexes.
Wait. There aren’t any other humans left, so that (^) was a moot point.
Well, great comic! Love the jump over the car!
April 25th, 2008 at 3:34 am
Yeah, that’s an interesting point. With Francis deaded and Sullivan a good guy, Vampires are totally immune to Zombie attack now, aren’t they? Besides the off chance that the Zombies just bury them in a biting, scratching zombie heap for long enough to make the Vampire a Schaemiac, but that’s a longshot, and I’d imagine that the zombies would lose interest before that time.
April 25th, 2008 at 3:35 am
Well worth the wait of course =)
And wow, rage sure can run ^_^ (oh yeah, poor zombies XD)
April 25th, 2008 at 3:48 am
rage likes the show … and the confused looks of ” what the hell ” generated by his actions ….120 mph of smiling death coming your way … so fast you wouldn’t have time to make a “mess in your pants” before your demise
April 25th, 2008 at 4:04 am
Rage is friggin awesome.
Also, he totally looks like a metalhead.
April 25th, 2008 at 4:14 am
Woo hoo new page! Rage… just… LOL
Murdo: O.O WTF?!
BB: Whatevah…
Rage: C’mere lil zombiekins so daddy can kill you! ^-^
Btw those are the freakiest zombies yet. I love how BB is just so calm and nonchalant while Murdo would crap himself if he were able. Though BB is used to Rage’s unique personality. Murdo’s still adjusting to all things Vampiric.
Ok shutting up now. lol Awesome comic
April 25th, 2008 at 5:14 am
ALL PRAISE TO THE UPDATE!!!!!!!
April 25th, 2008 at 5:37 am
oh sweet jessus the waiting is finally over
April 25th, 2008 at 6:35 am
I can see why these pages are taking longer than the previous ones. The color art is complicated.
Beautiful work guys.
April 25th, 2008 at 6:37 am
P.S. The dust cloud in frame 2 is awesome.
April 25th, 2008 at 6:51 am
Holy crap, I just about got a heart-attack, I was *that* surprised to see a comic update after so long of, y’know, *not* seeing one. It looks completely awesome. ^.^
There’s something about Murdo’s eyes that I just love in the first panel, and Rage is awesome as always. I really like the zombie expressions, too. It’s like they know what’s coming and they’re like, “D=”. lol
April 25th, 2008 at 7:02 am
FINALLY!
The color is just LUSCIOUS!
April 25th, 2008 at 7:06 am
Heh, I love the look on the the bottom right zombie’s face.
April 25th, 2008 at 7:23 am
So rage is super fast, but can he turn on a dime? Or is it kind of like Juggernaut where once he gets moving his speed increases, but only if it’s in a straight line?
April 25th, 2008 at 7:28 am
Beautiful. This was definitely worth the wait, and then some.
April 25th, 2008 at 7:35 am
the drawning looks different… its cooler though…
April 25th, 2008 at 9:15 am
Holy crap Rage is awesome! This comic was worth the wait, the art is amazing
April 25th, 2008 at 9:51 am
“He can run like 100MPH?”
“He says 120…”
What the hell? Sounds like
“Is that a plane?”
“No! It must be a bird!”
“NO! It’s another flying superhero!!!”
Ok… No more stupid jokes - I laughed…
April 25th, 2008 at 10:05 am
The art work is just beautiful. I looked over it for nearly 10 mins before I realized I hadn’t even read the dialogue yet. Great job guys it’s wonderful.
April 25th, 2008 at 10:14 am
Re: Rage Speed
I don´t know what source the author is basing his vampires on but on Vampire the Masquerade RPG the vampires gifted with superhuman feats of physical might such as greater speed, strenght or edurance need to use blood to “activate” such powers, it makes sense according to me since rage may have been reluctant to spend blood during the big zombie attack as this would have emptied his reserves and speed up his agony, by waiting and keeping his reserves he might have resisted longer and even attempt an escape after being imprisioned, when WLB got distracted or something
April 25th, 2008 at 10:23 am
Wow. I guess at that speed, one would leave quite deep marks on the ground, since a leg has to put a lot of pressure on one point, as opposed to wheels. Plus, he’s quite heavy. I wonder if he makes a lot of steps or some kind of repetitive jumps when he runs.
Anyway, that’s more realistic than Hulk’s jumps.
April 25th, 2008 at 10:31 am
Really love the ‘Ooooh snap’ look on the zombies!
April 25th, 2008 at 10:55 am
Oh dear god I needed this badly.
April 25th, 2008 at 11:52 am
The bottom two panels are absolutely gorgeous! And the zombie missing half of his jaw really rocks XD
The idea of Rage being able to go at that speed and turn on a dime is pretty frightening o_0 Not only because he could pretty much chase down anything he wanted, but because I can only imagine that turning at that speed must put some pretty painful torque on the joints (if not enough force to actually break bones). Yeowch. But then again, Rage likes pain ^^;;
April 25th, 2008 at 12:16 pm
Hugh Jackman should play Rage IMO
and people should stop naming their sons “Francis” they always seem to end up little emo WLB’s with deep-seated subscriptions to self-pity magazine
April 25th, 2008 at 12:27 pm
I can’t help but think of Eadweard Muybridge and his pictures of a horse running, and want to see the same thing with Rage.
April 25th, 2008 at 12:37 pm
Something about the colouring seems different this time through…much richer, darker, and smoother. Not sure which version I prefer…I lean towards the old way, but that may be because of familiarity. It looks nice in any case, and yay for artists not getting into ruts!
April 25th, 2008 at 12:58 pm
Those are some ugly babies. I bet the mother was Satan.
April 25th, 2008 at 1:27 pm
Woo-Hoo! New page! I feel like I’ve been waiting for years.
April 25th, 2008 at 1:46 pm
I don’t think he can turn on a dime, but at that speed I kind of have an image of Rage as a totally homicidal Sonic the Vampire, using other things (zombage for instance) to crash into to deflect himself and killing them in the process. At least that’s the way I do it when I’m running at any speed over 85mph and in a killing frenzy.
April 25th, 2008 at 2:45 pm
He deffinitly can’t turn on a dime, not at all possible. if he suddenly turned like that he’d either go flying from tripping, or slide along the ground until he stopped. Unless he can kick into the ground so hard that he stops himself completly, but then his leg would probably sink a decent bit in. So no.
But I imagine he can turn pretty fast, faster than any car at any rate. I’m just looking forward to him running through thre zombies, arm’s spread wide and his crazy talons ripping through faces
April 25th, 2008 at 3:07 pm
Behold, my babies - our waiting for a new page is finished!
And… I have the feeling the image quality has slightly improved. I really like the close-ups of Murdo’s red eyes.
And Rage… great-looking as always
April 25th, 2008 at 3:39 pm
Okay…..
That was cool.
April 25th, 2008 at 4:16 pm
awsome!! love the colouring!
and where the hell is anko!? did he die or something? did someone kidnap him so he would not comment..? that is the question! :O
keep up the awsome work ^_^
April 25th, 2008 at 4:23 pm
i actualy have a suspicion ( if thats how it writes omg im tired so sorry for my bad grammar lol xD ) that those zombies.. are going to get killed..! random person : NO WAY!? WE WOULD NOT GUESS THAT OUT ON OUR OWN! me: well yeah! i dont mind helping you! hmm.. and now to help the people that actualy cant understand anything even tough its completely logical.. rage does NOT call the zombies his babies because theyre related to him, there! now no one will misunderstand that ^_^ and if they do i will release a zombie apocoly.. no wait that would be fun for them! :O hmm… *plans evil stuff* i will shut down their internett mwhahaha!!
anywho..! now i anoyed you all with my senseless jiberish..! so here comes the world most anoying question.. “OMHZ WHEN IZ THE NEW PAEGE OUT!?!?!?!?!?!?!?” nah just joking! take you time!
:D cause this one was better than the previus one.. and the previus one kicked ass! so like.. you know.. ehm.. keep kicking ass..? lalala.. im actualy kinda hyper and stuff now so im just talking random stuff but,.. uhm.. im gonnah… go .. sleep now.. so… good night and
remember..
when a zombie apocolypse happens, run out in the desert, find a vampire, get turned, die from hunger, become scha..schaemi….UBER zombie and kill evil zombies with your good zombies, wich actualy is inocent people as well so i dont see the logic in that but.. yeah xD goodnight!!
April 25th, 2008 at 4:56 pm
The color quality is different. I like it.
April 25th, 2008 at 5:13 pm
For somebody that’s supposed to be so fast, it took him almost two months to reach the car.
April 25th, 2008 at 6:36 pm
New page!
(dies happy)
April 25th, 2008 at 8:28 pm
Love the colour scheme on this page. Hope it translates well to the screen!

Last Blood is the name of the comic, not a character (as far as we’ve seen). Are you trying to be a smart ass (hence the winking smiley) or are you just a complete fucking idiot?

While I guess it is possible that Rage could die in this GN there’s really no reason to worry at this point. I mean seriously, who the fuck do you think is gonna stake him in the next couple of pages? The mindless zombies?

I can’t believe you compared this comic to the utter shit that is ‘Masquerade’. First of all who the fuck cares what makes sense “according to you”. Second, the vampires of the RPG you mentioned are barely based on the traditional vampire legends at all. For that matter, Bobby’s aren’t that close to the originals either. So why would they have anything to do with each other? Also, maybe you didn’t read the last GN, but Rage LOVES pain, so having something “speed up his agony” would not have concerned him in the least. Also, a better plan than ‘conserve my energy to escape later’ would probably ‘don’t fucking get captured…Durr’. Lastly, while (I think) Bobby has said that the amount of blood they’ve had can affect their strength/ abilities, they aren’t living in a fucking turn-based tabletop RPG. They don’t have ‘blood points’ or whatever they are that they decide to ‘spend’ to be able to do something. Having something that stupid in a story would be like having humans ‘spend’ ‘carbohydrate points’ to perform basic functions in the story. Your idea is just stupid.
“Jaysburn Says:

So, some vampires can fly, and some can move super fast, that’s totally believable, but TURNING fast that’s scientifically impossible? Why don’t you just wait for Bobby to answer the fucking question rather than try to sound smart by applying pseudo-scientific information to a non-scientific situation? I guess Superman, the Flash, and all other superfast characters can’t turn fast, just because you said so. Don’t get me wrong, Bobby might say he can’t, I don’t know, but don’t try to sound like you know what the fuck you’re talking about when you don’t.
April 26th, 2008 at 12:09 am
Goodness, you’ve rendered Jon Pander nearly speechless!
I agree with Northstar; the zombies look great. So creepy blending into the background with those glowing eyes just popping. I’m loving the darker colours. The art is wonderful. Fab new page, guys, thanks!
April 26th, 2008 at 2:30 am
yay a new page!!!
god, it looks great, i cant wait to see Rage “taking care” of his babies…
by the way, i thought about a name for Mr. Mustache, Marvin, isn’t perfect?
April 26th, 2008 at 7:25 am
i have to say.. i LOOOVEEEE the fact that the comic is incolor now!!!
April 26th, 2008 at 7:31 am
Heh, I love how in the MS Paint sketch all the zombies are cool scary zombies, except for the last one on the right. Clearly, he is the loser zombie. All the other zombies make fun of him. He’s constantly yelling “kiiiiiiiidneys!”
April 26th, 2008 at 8:14 am
Wow.. hmm. someone said that why Rage did get caught in spite of his superspeed. Well speed is not a plus if you are inside a huge group of zombies. it would make it harder to move fast. so Rage only can use his strength and his berserk-mode to fight them off. that is why he got caught in first place. i think. only a theory.
wonderfull page. X3
April 26th, 2008 at 8:36 am
((((Mister`Wolfe Says:

Um, why do people do stuff like that? Can’t we have a nice dream until the movie without insinuating who should play what?
And Hugh Jackman? You are so lame.
I love you Zaldaran, your ‘loser’ zombie bit had me ROFL!
April 26th, 2008 at 9:04 am
Holy shit on a stick, lovers it.
im actually quite surprised that anko wasnt the first to post, or how she hasnt posted yet at all.
good godly awesome work boys
April 26th, 2008 at 11:30 am
Glad to see the comic back up
especially with the great art
April 26th, 2008 at 1:46 pm
Wow I just popped by to see if on the off chance that this comic was updated, and alas it has been. Very nice page, good color quality as well.
PS- Wow, Anko hasn’t posted yet?!
April 26th, 2008 at 3:38 pm
I didn’t believe that I was going to live to see this day, also, Anko must have lost his hope
April 26th, 2008 at 6:40 pm
Mwahahahahaaaaa zombies! Feel the wrath of RAGE!!
New Page! *does happy dance*
Loving the zombies–looking foreward to page 10 zombie-killing action.
Unspeakable happiness.
Now… the real question is, how long do we have before people start fighting like dogs? I give it… three or four more days. Four tops. Then mass chaos and death threats.
April 27th, 2008 at 12:31 am
man i gotta stop relying on the archive for updated pages
by the amount of comments this has been up a full day and i havent noticed
awesome comic as always guys
i like the zombies with yellow eyes
makes them look so much more distant from being human and evil etc
April 27th, 2008 at 2:47 am
Hubba hubba! Well worth the wait
April 27th, 2008 at 3:39 am
“and where the hell is anko!? did he die or something?”
“Anko must have lost his hope”
To the contrary, I am not dead, I haven’t lost my hope, hell hasn’t frozen over, but above all, I am not a man.
I went on a trip to the coast. Swimming and all. However, it’s obviously great to be back, there being a new LB page.
April 27th, 2008 at 4:47 am
I am, for some reason, a very recent visitor to your fine comic but wanted to say that I am very impressed with it, both in artwork and story, and gave the comic/movie project a shout over at my blog: http://taliesinttlg.blogspot.com/2008/04/new-film-last-blood.html
April 27th, 2008 at 7:45 am

April 27th, 2008 at 8:58 am
Hey Anko, did you get your name from that character from Naruto? Just asking.

Take your own fricken advise, Micah.
I said he SHOULDN’T be able to turn on a dime. I also said he MIGHT, but if he can it’ll probably fuck up the ground. If he cna turn instantly at 120 MPH, it’ll at least crack the ground up. I never once said he won’t, under any circumstances, be able to do it. Don’t put words in my damn mouth.
He might be able to, he might not, all I’m saying is that it’s not an easy thing to do. Something’s got to happen from it.
April 27th, 2008 at 9:03 pm
The world is right again. Anko has posted.
Awesome job on the new page. It really looks amazing.
April 27th, 2008 at 9:23 pm
“Hey Anko, did you get your name from that character from Naruto? Just asking.”
No. Old nickname I got in elementary school.
April 28th, 2008 at 1:21 am
One thing I’ve been wondering about; according to Math, WLB may have been able to pass on his sense of smell/powers to all the zombies he’s bitten. Also according to Math, WLB came out of the ocean about thirty two days ago; the exact amount of time needed to “acclimate”, or gain full access to a vampire’s powers. So, is Rage going to kick some ass, or get his ass kicked by some unexpectedly strong zombies?
April 28th, 2008 at 7:33 am
Excellent. Keep up the good work gentlemen.
April 28th, 2008 at 1:44 pm
Dan says: “On one side he is a melee heavy duty fighter and running fast is an extremely big advantage to him. However 120 miles do not sound as impressive as the ability to fly. ”
Yeah but the one flying vampire doesn’t have the levels of superhuman strength that Rage has. Running fast works better for him - he gets to be in the thick of things. Flying doesn’t seem like something that Rage would be as happy with… militarily speaking, he’s a grunt infantry, not a fighter pilot
Jessica: “Goodness, you’ve rendered Jon Pander nearly speechless”
Well what can I say… this particular page was speechless-renderingly cool.
Micah and Jayburn: Frankly, I think that whether Rage can stop on a dime or not is a moot point - when he’s running towards zombies, he’s much more likely to go THROUGH them… I mean literally through them in a bloody, gore-filled swath of rampant zombie-filled destruction…. instead of veering around them
April 28th, 2008 at 2:56 pm
Not if only he could reach 720m/h he could get airborne the old fashion way, physics my dear Watson … physics.
April 28th, 2008 at 3:12 pm
aw… went through the hunger pains, went schaemiac, then they update…
awesome to see the new stuff
April 28th, 2008 at 4:02 pm
Somebody has to have the same image in their mind as I do. Rage turning into a schaemiac and running around a crowded city slightly biting people and turning them into zombies at 100mph. Then a month later, zombies doing that all over the world.
April 28th, 2008 at 4:36 pm
SWEET, new page. Definitely worth the wait, in my opinion; great artwork there, Owen, ’s’a bit different from the other pages, but it’s a good piece in and of itself. Can’t wait to see what happens next. You guys do great work together.
April 28th, 2008 at 5:32 pm
Rage can fly. He flew a plane. XD
But no, seriously, awesome power for a vampire who likes to butcher things en masse.
April 28th, 2008 at 7:26 pm
returning from a long day at school to find a new page for Last Blood gives my internal organs a toasty feeling…
all i need now is freshly baked chocolate brownies with ice cream and coffee
April 28th, 2008 at 10:10 pm
Amazing as always. I love how you gave the blond dude a sense of humor.
April 29th, 2008 at 5:26 am
Well its a good thing anko’s not dead, this comic wouldnt be the same without her.
can’t wait to see how rage treats his babies

Does the word “duh” ring a bell?
I hate it when people really have nothing to say, but feel it necessary to make glaringly obvious points of observation so they can have something to post.
April 29th, 2008 at 7:07 am
Which is what I just did, isn’t it?…………………(scratches head)….. DAMN!

You’re right, Oceaneyes. God forbid somebody just give an artist positive feedback for the sake of positive feedback. Y’know, a compliment doesn’t have to highlight a certain point, it can just be something nice you say to somebody else. Sometimes people just like to hear that they’re doing something right or well, even if it’s already glaringly obvious that they are and they know it.
April 29th, 2008 at 12:50 pm
Rage is gonna give them a stern talking to, then put them in a “Time out”.
A “Time out” was basically, to me, a period of time where I was collecting ideas to do it again, only better and without getting caught.
If Rage were an actual person, I would set him loose on the moron who came up with that concept.

If so, then Rage is going to send them right back to mama.
Awesome page. Awesome. Perfectly aweseome. Did I mention the awesome? Wow, I’m like a broken record today. Isn’t it an aweso– *is strangled.*
A small part of me hopes that the zombies have ((for lack of a better word, so don’t kill me,) ‘leveled up’ after going through the acclimation phase. I think Rage would enjoy it if they tried to fight back a little… even though he *does love it when they run.
Then again, it would probably mean that everybody else was screwed, but… hey, theres’ 24+ humans left. They’re pretty much screwed anyway.
April 29th, 2008 at 7:43 pm
Why didn’t rage use his power BEFORE being chained? Couldn’t he have greatly reduced the threat and possibly turn the flow of the battle around?
April 29th, 2008 at 7:53 pm
He did use it obviously, but how could it possibly help much? There was millions of zombies just all over converging on the same place and blah blah blah. Obviously running 120 miles an hour couldn’t (and didn’t) help in any significant way.
April 29th, 2008 at 11:26 pm
I just want to say that you all here at last blood make an excellent comic, but you don’t nead me to tell you that. I think your charecter build is greate and even with the short lived charecters you still give them a chance of having a personality all there own. I finally gave in and read this comic. I’ve seen the link on ads for a few months but I always put it off cuz I thought it’d be too creepy. I must say I’m pleasantly surprised with how you guys pulled this off and I’m excited that there’s more to come! I first found you through No Pink Ponies and then Marry Me. <3 It’s great how you picture these comics as movies before you even get them down on paper. I’ll definitely be sticking around.

Holy guacamole… new comic…
I know that Bobby’s said he doesn’t expect to have any say over casting, but I say again that Chris Jericho…

Does the word “duh” ring a bell?
I hate it when people really have nothing to say, but feel it necessary to make glaringly obvious points of observation so they can have something to post.”
As much as I would just LOVE to make snarky, sarcastic remarks about the fact that you seem to be so bitter about the fact that I decided to make a positive remark (perhaps jealous, are we?), I will refrain from doing so…

Bet on Rage’s first kill.
1: Ripping throat ( claws )
2: Ripping guts ( claws )
3: Ripping of head ( claws )
4: Ripping of limbs ( claws )
5: Taking of limbs ( hands )
6: Taking of head ( hands )
7: Crushing head ( boot / knee / elbow )
8: Crushing midsection ( boot / knee / elbow )
9: Using Teeths just for the taste? ( mouth )
10: All of the above things put together in a joyish mass of extreme violence.
I bet on 10

I bet on option 11,
Rage has horrible gas, which when expelled blows everything to bits in a 10 mile radius,
but thats a bit far fetched.

Don’t put words in my damn mouth.”
“Jaysburn Says:
April 25th, 2008 at 2:45 pm
He deffinitly can’t turn on a dime, not at all possible. if he suddenly turned like that he’d either go flying from tripping, or slide along the ground until he stopped. Unless he can kick into the ground so hard that he stops himself completly, but then his leg would probably sink a decent bit in. So no.
But I imagine he can turn pretty fast, faster than any car at any rate. ”
You never said “SHOULDN’T” you said “deffinitly” (misspelling by you left in for emphasis). I have never intentionally misquoted someone and I never put words in your mouth you stupid fuck-tard, and you’re a lying piece of shit for accusing me of doing so. Furthermore, you must be plain God Damn stupid, because anyone can scroll up the page and see that I quoted you directly, (but I quoted it again so they don’t have to).
If you disagree with me, fine. If you think I was rude, so-what, I stated an opinion. Sure, the opinion was about you, but it was based DIRECTLY on what you said. I, unlike you, try not to blatantly lie, even in a stupid online argument.
And since I just proved that everything you said in your last post was utter and complete bullshit, your “Take your own fricken advise, Micah” comment isn’t really applicable.
May 2nd, 2008 at 11:07 pm
Kinda weird. To me, 120 miles doesn’t sound so great until I turn it into kilometers, which is that 180-200 km per hour. And THAT’S a lot of speed in my mind.
And then we can talk that WHY Rage had to use airplane. Eve if they were in mexico, or at europe, he could have just ran over the water since his speed exceeds 98 km per hour. (for physics that is. But I think they don’t apply any more when you add zombies, schiamiac-or-how-it-was-written and vampires to picture. ‘Specially the vampires.)
Okey, for airplane maybe he just wanted to smash zombies with a giant piece o’ metal.
And all this time I’ve been thinking why zombies aren’t just eating each other. Is it some sort of “not eating my species”-thing or just that their flesh is uneatable..?
Also there is this thought that zombies can’t die for hunger or dehydration (the thing when you don’t get liquid in your body and die for that, sorry didn’t have time with wordbooks) at this point, am I right? Since they’re dead (ooh, that was suprising thought, wasn’t it?)
Oh yeah, what happened to the humans? they’re eaten yet so that vampires can just go and run wild until they’re pain get’s unbearable and then kill themselves, or do they still have to guard those babies?
And as I allways say, REALLY great comic. Really, it’s original. First time I ever hear zombies being created by a vampire. Usually it’s either a necromancer or some giant medical organization trying to create everlasting life (okey, note to self: DON’T wach Resident evil too much).
Man, am I writing a lil bit too much?
May 3rd, 2008 at 4:48 am
Why didn’t Rage run instead of flying with an airplane?
Run the stairs up or use an escalator…what would you choose?
It’s more comfortable to fly per plane, especially if you have to run trough millions of zombies…
zombies don’t eat zombie meat because there aren’t enough nutrions in it *tsstss* didn’t you go to school?
*waiting for next comic*
Oh btw….still waiting

Dan said:
“Now I do not want to be the one saying negative things, but right after I read the line that he can run 120 miles I just thought about it for a brief second:
On one side he is a melee heavy duty fighter and running fast is an extremely big advantage to him. However 120 miles do not sound as impressive as the ability to fly.
Idk… I love Rage and his ability to run like he is on meth, but on the other side I thought he would be faster. I guess my own expectations were a bit too high so the cap on his speed was slightly disappointing.
Just a lesson to never expect too much from an already extremely bad ass character.”
Okay yeah, I could see disappointment if he was only able to run as fast as an average car, but we’re talking about a humanoid being able to move his limbs fast enough to probably outrun a Ferrari on a straightaway, so I don’t think “disappointment” would be the work you’d be looking for. It would be physically impossible to have him run any faster. His body would come apart. Good comic guys.
May 5th, 2008 at 8:47 am
Wow, Duncan. chill out man.
The comic has never really been updated on a truly reliable schedule and with Bobby and his brother working on well over 5 comics with 3-5 artists, there’s due to be some downtime between each comic. Also, with working on the movie deals (looking forward to it if it actually follows through) that downtime increases.
Just stay tuned, check back every few days or so and enjoy the conversation. not just the comic. Check out some of his other comics, etc.
There’s no reason to freak over a lack of updates. especially if you like what you’re reading.
If it helps. Look at the time of non-updates as a time where the artist is trying to perfect the image to make the comic look better. because it’s obvious that bobby has got the story telling, wit, humor, and plot down pat.
Keep up the good work =)

I don’t think I’ve commented for this comic before, surprisingly.
ANYWAYS
The fastest man according to the Guinness World Records, can run approx. 20mph.
For those of you without math and no understanding of miles, that is close to 40-45km/h.
If it’s even possible for anyone to go that fast without their bodies ripping apart in midair, he’d be running 220-230km/h.
I agree with whoever said (something like)
“Those are some ugly babies. The mother must have been Satan.”
lolz.

No, it isn’t. It’s just slightly over 32 km/h.

No.
Last time I checked, 20 x 1.6 =/= 40
May 5th, 2008 at 9:00 pm
Unless you were thinking Kg -> lbs (but that’s backwards in terms of systems, i.e. Metric -> imperial instead of imperial -> metric), which *would* be 2.2 and give you somewhere between 40-45 if you took the 20 and multiplied it

Anyways, awesomeness, Rage is. O.O

Keep up the good work lads, and i hope that when the movie comes out i’ll be able to get my hands on a copy in AUstralia, because after reading the first few screenplay pages, i reckon your going to have a pretty good film there, mate.
Keep up the good work, Glenn.

Not to get mired into this conversion debate, but 20 miles per hour is about 32.2 km/h, actually.
I don’t care though. I live in the good ol’ U.S. of A. where we go don’t use no namby pamby metric scale anyways.

Are you referring to when I asked Rushee if he was “a complete fucking idiot” because that was a question, not a statement. In fact, unless he was being sarcastic it was an incredibly fucking stupid question. If he was somehow referring to the comic “becoming a Schaemiac in 17 days” because of lack of updates it was still stupid. Remember everyone, you can’t read tone of voice in print, which mean “in the internet no one can hear you sarcasm”.
If, on the other hand, you are talking about what I said to Jaysburn, I called him a “stupid fuck-tard” and a “lying piece of shit” and “God damn stupid” not a “complete fucking idiot”, and there was provocation for that.
Furthermore, I didn’t say jack shit to you and you just said I look like “a real douche” with “no provocation” and then asked me if I am “that much of an asshole”. You basically just did exactly what you reprimanded me for, you stupid dipshit. And yes, in real life, if someone says something so blatantly and stupidly obvious that there is no conceivable way they could be serious unless they are mentally handicapped and I can’t tell if they are being sarcastic or not, I will ask if they are joking or if they are just that fucking stupid. Thankfully I don’t hang out with many stupid people, so I don’t have to put up with people like you that often.

I’m not being sensitive, I’m just responding to people. The whole argument started because I responded to what someone said about the comic. I may have been rude, but it was a comic based comment nonetheless. When that person proved to be a complete idiot by misquoting himself, and lying about what I said to boot I responded in kind. Sorry if not liking liars makes me a pansy, but if someone lies about me or treats me like an idiot for being correct I’m gonna call them on it, anonymous internet person or not. The fact that dip shits like you keep telling me to calm down just leads to more rants like this. Maybe I’ll keep “the drama” on my “end of the computer screen” when you keep your nose on yours and mind your own fucking business.

Actually a pretty good “End of movie I” outro.
I haven’t timed it out, but it feels like a cold reading of the comic would give a script of about 110 minutes. This has the intro, development, conflicts, crescendo, aftermath, and lead-in.
My suggestion is cut to “this is a web comic” for the future. Go back and work a second pass for the movie. A bit more foreshadowing on the last group, the opposing zombie army can be much smaller as long as it has weapons, a bit more resolution, a final foreshadow before the outro on “lots of zombies out there”.
Looks like a good start. You still have a chunk of work to make a producible piece.
May 13th, 2008 at 4:15 pm
Not sure what you’re talking about. It sounds like you’re including the first nine pages of the second GN as being in the first movie? If so, that’s not the case. Also –
“I haven’t timed it out, but it feels like a cold reading of the comic would give a script of about 110 minutes.”
No, it’s more like 50 minutes (first GN). Tons of additions necessary for the movie.
May 14th, 2008 at 1:47 am
Not here to argue. There’s a lot action slow downs, not just shoe leather, pushing up the time. Also, the extended flashback after conclusion is warranted; tightened and simplified a bit. I stand by about 110 minutes.
There are a lot of additions before you hit the visual screenplay stage. You save production time and some post production costs by making the whole visual screen play in advance; figure one sketch panel for every 6 seconds with key frame (careful, often full color) panels averaging every 50 seconds. If you are going for funding, this raises valuation considerably.
Given the low sets and reasonably standard special effects, you might even pull of the Saw miracle. Good luck.
May 14th, 2008 at 1:56 am
You’re being very confusing again (no clue what you mean by most of what you just said) and you apparently missed this, although it’s hard to tell –

Woah! This updated back in April!
May 14th, 2008 at 9:35 pm
I’d agree on one thing, 50 minutes for the first GN as movie would be way too short. Good grief, you could spend 5 minutes on the actual plane crash and Rage “indulging himself” plus 10 minutes on the big zombie hill fight easy and those would be nothing but action sequences. Several things that you knocked out in the GN in a couple of pages, a few panels, one panel or even “off screen” and then relied on the comments section here to clear up the missing details. Cannot do that in a film format.
May 14th, 2008 at 9:47 pm
You’re not making any sense, just like the other guy.
“Good grief, you could spend 5 minutes on the actual plane crash”
Huh? That lasts like 10 seconds, not 5 minutes. Planes go fast. You want the entire thing to be in super slow motion or what?
“plus 10 minutes on the big zombie hill fight easy”
You’re crazy. Also, the question at hand was how long a cold reading of the comic would be up on screen, not including anything extra obviously, which is why I said so much would have to be added. You’re not reading carefully enough.
May 15th, 2008 at 10:15 pm
In RL, the crash would be a few seconds, but you have different viewpoints even in the GN which would take more than a few seconds to show each one in a movie format. Then from a physics standpoint you have more than “hit ground - boom” of the GN, there will be skidding, sliding and debris flying. Reaction from the various viewpoints (”WTF was that!?”, “OMG, where is Mac?”, etc.), vampires pulling themselves out of the debris (possibly with some gratuitous finishing off of zombies), Rage being told to have fun, Rage (and other vamps) having some fun. IMO, easy five minutes of screen time. Slow motion would be an option that would make it even longer.
The zombie hill fight at 10 minutes of action sequence, I don’t see any problem at all. Say 1 minute for the opening charge sequence, 1 minute for various weapons running out of ammo and the change to melee. Time for Mac to have his conversation plus showing multiple vampires killing zombies in various different manners would eat up several minutes. Math’s return and leading them up the growing hill. Time lapsed montage of the hill growing preparatory to the chain gang mixed in with the various vampire killing zombie sequences. You can use some foreshadowing to boost up certain characters if needed. Yes, some of these can be overlapped but this is a climactic event, Spartans at the pass, Horatius at the bridge, defense of the Alamo. It deserves decent coverage and should get some more speaking than what is in the GN, 10 minutes would be minimal I think. I’m not even thinking about slow motion here.
I haven’t even gotten into the Slow Motion strip where the main vampires are captured, which will be more than a montage of snapshots I would hope. Several at least would deserve some screen time and this would need some slow motion bits.
Now, I’m not talking about a cold reading, but for the entire movie. OTOH, there is a LOT of missing stuff in the GN that would need either dialogue among the characters or some kind of narration to make it work unless you are only aiming at people who have both read the GN and all of your comments for the strips. After all you have ranted at people who go “WTF?” at inconsistencies in the story from reading just the GN with the line of “read the comments.” If I wanted to go dig, I’d even find your repeated admission that you were hurrying the comic back in November/December to get it done in a certain number of pages. I’ll bet by the time you are done editing, you will be more than 55 minutes even for just a cold reading.
May 15th, 2008 at 10:31 pm
Very little of that last comment made much sense. Pointless discussion for a million reasons.
“there is a LOT of missing stuff in the GN that would need either dialogue among the characters or some kind of narration to make it work unless you are only aiming at people who have both read the GN and all of your comments for the strips.”
Pure nonsense on every level.
“After all you have ranted at people who go ‘WTF?’ at inconsistencies in the story from reading just the GN with the line of ‘read the comments.’ ”
There are zero inconsistencies in the comic and certainly no need to read the comments to understand anything. People only needed to read the comments for SPOILERS, when they were asking about things that would be explained later in the comic and I explained all of that stuff earler in the comments — absolutely everything of importance in any way was obviously IN THE COMIC itself by the end of it.
“If I wanted to go dig, I’d even find your repeated admission that you were hurrying the comic back in November/December to get it done in a certain number of pages.”
No clue what your point is. You’re just spouting gibberish. What does that have to do with anything?
“I’ll bet by the time you are done editing, you will be more than 55 minutes even for just a cold reading.”
And this is the most nonsensical thing. Done editing what??? There’s practically no way to “edit” a graphic novel, without tons of new art, of course, certainly not to ADD time, and there is no editing of the comic — it’s 100% done and IN STORES. You’re all just talking nonsense.

May 16th, 2008 at 7:37 am
I think everyone here who has never been in the mvoie business should shut up. Unless you are yourself a director, producer or writer, you probably don’t know crap about how long the comic would be as a movie. And I include students in cinema here, being one myself.

May 17th, 2008 at 6:09 pm
So it seems like there are two sides to the “ability to turn” argument. Everyone has their opinions, and each persons opinion seems to piss someone off. So I would like to say that I think everyone’s opinion is valid and I am not in any way insulting or shooting down anyone else’s opinion by providing my own.
The two parts to this argument is a.) Can he turn without harming himself and b.) does he have the dexterity/agility to do so at high speeds.
I would like to say flat out, I can’t honestly make an argument to B. That is for Bobby to decide and the rest of us to just accept. But, for the can he turn without harming himself question, I have to say, in my opinion, based on the facts presented in this page that yes he can.
Why do I believe this you ask? Well he just jumped over a full sized truck while running at top speeds without damaging himself. I am not a physics major nor do I claim to understand physics on a higher level than anyone else on this page, but as far as my understanding goes a feat like that would definitely cause some major Ownage to Rage.
Your standard full sized pickup truck can range between just under 6 feet to about 7 or 8 based on the model and any modifications the owner has made to it, if you take the picture to scale he is a good 4-6 feet above the truck meaning he is about 10-15 feet in the air and still traveling 120 mph. Barring that he continues to pump his legs while traveling over the truck (which the artwork doesn’t seem to suggest) he is going to hit the ground with his legs non-mobile, while inertia causes his body to still want to move forward at 120 mph. If he can withstand this without damaging himself then logically you can deduce that turning at the high speeds would probably not damage him either.
And I agree with Mims that all who do not work in the movie industry should let those who do figure out what they are going to do in taking the novel to the screen.
May 17th, 2008 at 7:05 pm
“Can he turn without harming himself”
You guys know he’s a vampire, right? Nothing other than a wooden stake through the heart can kill him, and all injuries heal almost instantly (unless they haven’t drank any blood in over two weeks, in which case they’re going through the worst torture ever and they’re now a little more susceptible to long term injuries, like the loss of Francis’s eye while he was in the ocean and the various rotting to both Francis and Sullivan). So it doesn’t matter what kind of damage he does to himself obviously, since it would just heal right away — remember when he stabbed himself in the heart with a sword about 30 pages ago?
“does he have the dexterity/agility to do so at high speeds.”
I don’t see why not. Again, he’s a vampire. And it’s a complicated question — turn how, how fast, how well? It’s a pointless argument.
“And I agree with Mims that all who do not work in the movie industry should let those who do figure out what they are going to do in taking the novel to the screen.”
In general I disagree with this type of thinking, since there are certainly tons of morons in the movie industry who have no clue what would be best in this case. Anyone can give an opinion about something and it doesn’t matter what their profession is — they can be right or wrong either way. I hate when people try to dismiss what someone says just because of their experience level. The reason these people’s opinions are being dismissed is because they’re obviously stupid opinions.
To expand on that a little –
“The zombie hill fight at 10 minutes of action sequence, I don’t see any problem at all.”
“10 minutes would be minimal I think. I’m not even thinking about slow motion here.”
#1: Do you realize that the major climactic battle of “The Two Towers,” the Battle of Helm’s Deep, only lasted about 15 minutes on screen? And that was in a three hour plus movie and they took four months to shoot those 15 minutes. Your perspective on time simply appears to be way off here. If the Helm’s Deep battle only took up about 7% of “The Two Towers,” it’s just crazy to think that this battle in “Last Blood” would take up a minimum of 10 minutes, which would probably be closer to 10% of this film. Also, there was tons of different and awesome things to see in the Helm’s Deep fight, explosions and ladders and different races fighting different races and so on and so forth. But in this fight in “Last Blood” it’s just vampires (and Mac) cutting off zombie heads for ages basically, after very quickly running out of ammo. Not nearly exciting enough to spend anywhere near 10 minutes on.
#2: And this is a huge point — THIS BATTLE IS NOT CLIMACTIC AND THE GOOD GUYS LOSE IT. The whole point of it is simply to tire out the vampires so they can then be chained. Not exactly the type of resolution that warrants treating it like a giant important battle. Anything over four minutes would be boring, in my opinion.
The scene should probably be shorter than this song, which would be great music for it if the movie was taken in a certain direction –

By the way, haven’t even written Page 10 yet. Been super lazy. Gonna write it soon finally.
May 18th, 2008 at 9:10 pm
Y’know, a guy moves to South Korea, has all kinds of problems moving his stuff, takes about a month and a half to get all his stuff set up, and when he finally gets to check out all the new updates in Lastblood, hes sees that only one new page has been made. You guys fucking suck.
Congratulations on the movie deal. That is fucking awesome.
May 19th, 2008 at 3:49 am
Seriously the argument about harming himself with the speed……..the guy is a vampire. It’s too unbelievable to think he can turn that fast or move that fast without getting hurt but one zombie vampire nearly causing complete Armageddon with an army of mind controlled zombies isn’t?
Glaaaah stupidity gave me a headache.
May 19th, 2008 at 8:33 am
I like how people are actually arguing with Bobby about how long his own movie idea would be. However long he wants it to be, it will be.
That’s like telling Bobby, “Hey Bobby, Rage’s name isn’t Rage. It’s Irving McPoodles.” When he tells you ‘No, it’s Rage’ then you insist that it is definitely Irving McPoodles, don’t be surprised that you’re going to tick him off because you’re being dumb, arguing with the creator about his own work.
Reminds me of “Back to School” where Rodney Dangerfield’s character hires Kurt Vonnegut to write a report on the book he himself wrote, and he gets a C- by the professor who says he clearly doesn’t understand the book (or something to that effect).
In summary, don’t argue with the author about his own story. It makes God cry.
May 19th, 2008 at 11:54 am
Is anybody else here interested in starting a movement to mandate all counter-points in contemporary English discussion must begin with the half-sound-word “Uh,” followed by a necessary comma?
I wholeheartedly believe this will improve conditions in our public school system.
May 19th, 2008 at 2:59 pm
Jon: It’s been made very clear that there’s now a very good chance that I not only won’t be directing the movie, but probably won’t even be writing the screenplay, so most of what you just said doesn’t make any sense in this case. There’s a high likelihood now that I’ll have close to zero control over what happens in the film, so we’re all just speculating. I’m obviously much more of an expert on this subject than anyone else here, though, since I’ve thought of this story in movie terms from the start, but that doesn’t automatically make me right. The arguments here are quite simple/stupid, though.
May 19th, 2008 at 4:04 pm
“#2: And this is a huge point — THIS BATTLE IS NOT CLIMACTIC AND THE GOOD GUYS LOSE IT.”
And yet… it’s still on most people’s lists of ‘Best Scenes in Last Blood’ Lists.
(Please God, tell me I’m not the only one who has a little mental list like that…) Just another sign of the awesome that is Last Blood. The protagonists get their asses kicked by zombies. We still love it. No matter HOW LONG it is in the frickin’ movie, as long as AFP’s “Form ranks!” line and that little scene of the vampires charging out with guns blazing gets left in and done right… I will be happy.
Too bad you aren’t going to have much/any say in the movie making process though, Bobby.
…
Are you at least going to be able to review what they come up with? ‘Cause it isn’t hard to find examples of movies that show the utter horror of what happens when authors/creators are excluded from the process. *Cough*Eragon*Cough*.
May 20th, 2008 at 2:54 am
“Too bad you aren’t going to have much/any say in the movie making process though, Bobby.”
I said there’s a very good chance that I won’t, not that I won’t. There’s also a decent chance that I’ll still end up making the movie myself (writing/directing/producing). If it gets set up on a large scale and gets made by a big studio/production company, then I probably wouldn’t be heavily involved, but realistically there’s gotta be less than a 15% chance that that will actually happen. And if it doesn’t happen I’ll almost certainly be making it myself within a couple years. Anyway, we’ll see what happens.
Also, “Eragon” is a horrible book. Also, I can’t conceivably imagine a “Last Blood” movie being worse than the “Last Blood” comic, no matter who makes it.
May 20th, 2008 at 11:28 am
Bobby:”It’s been made very clear that there’s now a very good chance that I not only won’t be directing the movie, but probably won’t even be writing the screenplay, so most of what you just said doesn’t make any sense in this case.”
Aw man, that’s a darned shame. :/
So…….. does this mean Rage’s name might actually BE Irving McPoodles after all?
May 20th, 2008 at 12:35 pm
wanna say that i love the comic, and as for your comment about it being worse: of course it can, its very easy: they use dont use your ideas or script and make some POS based “loosely” on the zombie/vampire theme. (i REALLY hope it doesnt happen)
May 20th, 2008 at 2:31 pm
postulio: As I’ve said many many times, I think the writing in the comic is absolutely horrible and almost any changes that professional filmmakers would want to make couldn’t be so much worse that they’d somehow make the movie worse than the comic, since in general moving pictures and sound is 37,000 times better than still pictures with no sound.
May 20th, 2008 at 3:01 pm
yo, first time posting, First time reaing the comments and replys and shtuff, but I have followed the comic religiosly from almost the beggining, I would like to praise bobby on his amazing ideas and his awesome color (Yay Rage!!!! he r awesome) And would like to also praise him on the movie deal, but am sorry that there is a chance that u might not direct the movie, would like to say that if there is enough action, even a 10 second segment for the plane thing would be awesome and seem a hell of a lot longer.
In the Dime argument, He ca ndefinetly turn, but probably not on a dime since your average man cant do that while running either, unless super-reflexes are involved, which is likely but not sure, But I would agree with bobby
(Crap I forgot most of what i was going to say)
Also, eragon was a cool book, eldest was wierd but had some cool guys, like Roran
But the move was birdshit that landed on dog crap that was put into a landfill where it was eaten by worms that got eaten by more birds who shit on dog crap that got sent to landfills, and repeat, again, and again, and 1*your aproval rating of eragon the book more times.
I probably wont post agsin for a while, but I will hold up this argument and any others I put up
May 20th, 2008 at 3:15 pm
Just to let you know, I don’t color the strip! Or draw it or anything like that — just write it. Owen Gieni draws and colors it.
May 21st, 2008 at 10:06 pm
“By the way, haven’t even written Page 10 yet. Been super lazy. Gonna write it soon finally.”
How’s it going now? Any progress? (or still focusing on Marry Me?)
May 21st, 2008 at 10:28 pm
Ugh, it’s been four days since then already? Anyway, still haven’t. MM doesn’t really have anything to do with that.

what will happen with the whole sofia-adisson thing??
May 22nd, 2008 at 6:31 pm
We’ll see Sofia again fairly soon. Well, soon in terms of number of pages, but it might be months on here!
May 23rd, 2008 at 8:25 am
Geez guys, any sight of another page yet? Seems like forever.
May 23rd, 2008 at 8:29 am
OH, YES! I LUV RAGE NOW!

May 23rd, 2008 at 9:50 am
I reaaaally hope the movie gets to my country (Chile), if not i’ll have to wait a few months for it to be on DVD and then even more time for it to be on my country…
May 23rd, 2008 at 12:55 pm
so, when is the new page?
May 23rd, 2008 at 4:23 pm
UPDATES FOR LAST BLOOD! I NEED IT TO LIVE! …no pressure…
May 23rd, 2008 at 7:47 pm
My god……..They already have the hunger pains.
Also never question how bad Hollywood can cock up a movie. They can take a good idea and rape it to death until all you have is a movie where you watch it and one of two things can happen.
1)It is horrible enough to be popular for being bad (Something on a Shaq-Fu level).
2)It becomes successful but the fans are nothing but the next generation of Anne Rice freaks.
May 24th, 2008 at 12:43 am
I’ve just been reading this absolutely fabulous comic, never seen anything quite like it, it’s horrific, but not enough to make you have nightmares and grab a broom every time the house creaks at night.
If this becomes a movie on the big screen, I am so there. … But knowing movie directors, they’ll make it as scary as possible. And if they made a movie, they’d have to wait until you’ve finished the comic first… Psst, take as long as possible, this is AWESOME.
May 24th, 2008 at 12:49 am
“And if they made a movie, they’d have to wait until you’ve finished the comic first…”
First film’s story ended in early December.
May 24th, 2008 at 2:35 am
Oh, so the movie would only en-compass the first story/arc/volume… Hmm, that’s great, then, hopefully, the producers wouldn’t be able to chop off like half of it to get a ‘plot’ and to keep it into the time frame. *rollseyes*
Sorry for being surprised, but it’s really nice to see an author who replies to the comments of the readers.
May 24th, 2008 at 3:59 am
I’m just posting so I know what I’ve already read next time I come to check the comments and I won’t have to scan 50 comments thinking, “did I read that one yet?”…
May 24th, 2008 at 6:47 am
JT Cool: “Also never question how bad Hollywood can cock up a movie. They can take a good idea and rape it to death until all you have is a movie where you watch it and one of two things can happen.”
I heard that Dracula 3000 was originally the sequel to Interview with the Vampire before the studio execs got their hands on it.
If you don’t get the joke, check Rotten Tomatoes.
“1)It is horrible enough to be popular for being bad (Something on a Shaq-Fu level).”
Nothing can be as bad as Shaq Fu. Except for Custer’s Revenge. The fun game about raping a Native American girl (look ma I’m being politically correct!) tied up to a pole!
“2)It becomes successful but the fans are nothing but the next generation of Anne Rice freaks.”
Anne Rice freak fans are nothing but gothy versions of hippies. But without the flowers and the Anne Rice freak girls version of having sex is far too freaky for my tastes.
Micah: “I’m just posting so I know what I’ve already read next time I come to check the comments and I won’t have to scan 50 comments thinking, “did I read that one yet?”…”
Micah, you didn’t read this one yet.
May 24th, 2008 at 3:32 pm
What’s wrong with freaky sex? and how can it get too freaky? >_>
(Great comic, great concept… I actually like the writing, so Bobby, I really don’t get why you keep saying it sucks. And the artwork is great!)
May 25th, 2008 at 7:09 am
1 month later…
May 25th, 2008 at 7:42 am
First post, yeah!
Oh wait, 180 got in before me. I have to be faster next time. Rage fast.
May 25th, 2008 at 10:38 am
damn your slow david
May 25th, 2008 at 11:02 am
i can understand what people are saying about the freaky goth anne rice fans, but i must stress the point that her books are quite good. ive read from interview with the vampire to memnoch the devil and i liked em. but that does not excuse those swishy, emo, crawling in my skin, cut myself for attention, my life is a neverending torture, why do the kids at school pick on me, where did i put my clove cigarettes, nobody understands me, losers.
i forgot where i was going with that.
oh yeah, anne rices books are good. queen of the damned was an okay movie on its own, but if they had made it more true to the story it would have been much better.
if they fuck up lastblood the same way i will be very disappointed.
May 25th, 2008 at 11:21 am
WtC: “What’s wrong with freaky sex? and how can it get too freaky? >_>”
Becomes too freaky when they try biting me and draw blood. If I wanted to associate sex with pain I’d clip car batteries to my nipples. Bzzt.
“(Great comic, great concept… I actually like the writing, so Bobby, I really don’t get why you keep saying it sucks. And the artwork is great!)”
Don’t quote me on it (like I’m quoting you) but I heard that Leonardo DaVinci thought the Mona Lisa was a real suckfest as well.
David Kastrup: “First post, yeah!”
Last post! (as of the time I’m writing this)..
Woo! I rock!
May 25th, 2008 at 11:42 am
“First film’s story ended in early December.”
And by coincidence, page 10 will also be out in early December…
May 25th, 2008 at 7:56 pm
I don’t understand why everyone is so down on the authors for taking an (admittedly) long time in creating the next page. They are creating a wonderful product and not even charging us for the great enjoyment that we are getting. This is a free service so we should not be complaining about a delay in a thing that we would never get to experience without the authors time and talents. You wouldn’t want to have the new page so quickly if it wasn’t high quality. It is unrealistic to expect people living a normal healthy life to drop everything and create a new page a day only to be greeted by a “WHEN IS TEH NEXT COMIC COMING OUT. IF IT DOESN’T COME OUT IN TEH NEXT 3 SECONDS I WILL GO BOMB SOMETHING.”* Please allow the authors to create quality work on the schedule that will work best for them. I would rather have 1 page a month at current quality than 1 a day where Rage is a stick figure.
- Summer Glau
*(this “quote” contains sarcasm. Any similarity to actual quotes is completely unintentional.
May 25th, 2008 at 10:40 pm
Right, the level of sarcasm on this page is bordering on critical mass…
I’m also comfortable with waiting, the movie is more important. A general timeframe for the new pseudo-schedule might ease peoples’ tensions, though, Bobby & Owen. You shooting for a one-a-month comic now? Actually going to a monthly-with-flowers comic schedule would make me giggle.
May 26th, 2008 at 2:07 am
WHEW! found this comic today and read through it all (much earlier today, then i got distracted). Just want to say to Bobby and Owen, you guys rock, and i hope to find your comic somewhere. Also, i was wondering what the cast of your movie is starting to look like.
May 26th, 2008 at 9:43 am
Summer, while i agree with most of what you said, you cant expect people not to get a little impatient when the last page was put up over a month ago as of the time of this writing. if there was a schedule, as tanaar said, that would be fine. But bobby said that there would be fairly regular updates when the second storyline started, so i think that people have a right to start asking when the next page comes out.
May 26th, 2008 at 4:07 pm
You make a good point Dannyboy and I agree that the people have a right to ask for information. What i don’t agree with is when people are just screaming for a result to happen when they have no influence on said result therefore causing flame wars over an uncontrollable event. It merely seems to me to be ineffective and useless. To clarify I agree that people have the right to ask when the next page is going to be out and yes even be impatient for the next page. I merely wish that they would wait for the next update as the rest of us do without adding useless text into the mix making it harder for us to read the rest of the comments. (Yes i realize most of this post is hypocritical)
Also (silliness and nit-pickyness ahead) once a month is fairly regular. I understand what you mean but the wording is ambiguous. :P. (silliness and nit-pickyness over) Still I agree with your main premise that the people deserve the right to ask.
May 26th, 2008 at 4:17 pm
“What i don’t agree with is when people are just screaming for a result to happen when they have no influence on said result”
They actually do have an influence. The really annoying people make me not want to write the page at all. They cause delays by whining about no new pages. The people who nicely ask for a new page make me want to write it, though, but there’s sadly a lot more whiners than nice people.
Also, the problem with asking in general about it is that I’ve already answered a million times everything there is to answer about it, which is that I plan to write the next one soon, but don’t really know if I will do it soon (which is obvious by now), and in general I hope to have lots of pages each month, but again, DON’T KNOW what will happen. There are times, like now, when it’s entirely my fault and I simply don’t write a page for multiple weeks (this is currently the longest streak ever of not writing one), but there are also times when I write a page and then Owen doesn’t draw it for two weeks.
Just check the site once a decade if it bothers you so much. I assume 10 years from now there will be at least four more pages.
May 26th, 2008 at 9:09 pm
Page 10 has now been written.
May 27th, 2008 at 8:15 am
…and it is awesome!!!!
May 27th, 2008 at 9:38 am
“Just check the site once a decade if it bothers you so much. I assume 10 years from now there will be at least four more pages.”
*grin* Sarcasm how I love thee..
Also…found this comic today and I’m loving it. Only downside is that reading it from start to “finish” (i.e. current page) cost me several hours I was supposed to spend studying…
Meh…totally worth it. Keep up the good/great/superb/insertpositiveadjectivehere work!
